  1. A spider I managed to get a pic of the other day. He was pretty high up in the tree so I had to stand on the trampoline to get a pic of him. The things we do... His web was huge and there was an even bigger web next to it a little further over from this spiders web, so I'd hate to see the size of the spider that spun that one I love the colour of the sky in the background. I also love the way it looks like some of the leaves in the background are shadows.
  2. OMG I would take Tarquin in a flash if I could... They're gorgeous T. :)
  3. I wholeheartedly second this! x 3 :) It's absolutely wonderful what you are doing for this girl. :thanks:
  4. So sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful Montanna. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. R.I.P. Montanna xxx
  5. Vet beds are fantastic and provide plenty of cushioning. They are quiet thick and very soft so you wouldn't need to put more bedding under it. Mine love theirs.
  6. Never a wiser word spoken Powerlegs... I like to actually KNOW the dog I'm putting up for adoption... we usually have ours for longer than 2 weeks to be sure on ALL counts before trying to place a dog into a new home. T. Amen to that statement. If only everyone was interested in getting to know the dogs they were rescuing before rehoming, we'd all be better off. I couldn't agree more. The majority of our dogs are in care for several months prior to rehoming, some longer. They are loved and treated as one of our own the whole time they are here. I like to get to know them inside and out before rehoming. I wouldn't sleep otherwise. I don't know how some rescues can operate with the 'in one door - out the other' mentality. I am also concerned at the lack of quarantine with some rescues. Sadly, my foster carer isn't able to care for anymore dogs, but when she did, I never just pulled a dog from the pound and sent them off to her. I would bring them home here first, quarantine them, have them vetted and do several temp tests before they went anywhere...

So sorry Ellz. By the sounds of things, he lived a wonderful life with you. Take care. Rest easy and R.I.P. "Fang" xxx
  8. So sorry MTD. He was a gorgeous looking boy and sounds like he was a real character too. I am sure he will be dearly missed by you all. R.I.P. Nic.
  9. Gorgeous pics, I especially love the hermit crab.
  10. Sorry to hear he still isn't 100% tlc. If he is still the same today I'd definately be taking him to a vet for a check over. Best to be safe than sorry. How are his gums? nice and pink?
  11. Ta Marion. :) And yes the gardens are beautiful. I wish I could say they were my backyard. They have alot of weddings there and wedding parties go there for their photo's and I can see why. We saw a wedding today while we were there. I was so tempted to get a pic of the bride, but didn't. I did get a couple of the cars though. :) Jack got to see inside this limo. The driver was very nice and asked if he wanted to have a look and ofcoarse he did. :)
  12. Thankyou. :) And the geese are beautiful aren't they? It's the first time I have seen them in real life. :)
  13. Apparently there are black swans there too. I hope we see one next time we go. :)
  14. Bails finds himself a friend and a cute one at that. :) He can't believe his eye's. These little guys are so so cute. :) A couple more to come. Almost there.
  15. Bails just wanted to chase the ducks. I was scared he would chase them into the water so had to put him back in his pram. And boy did he laugh when they were making their noises. Still more uploading. Some cute wallabies still to come. :)
  16. A pretty purple rose. As you can see it's not as bushy as a normal rose, but still, it's very pretty. Rose garden from a different angle ETA still lots more to come. Flickr is being a pain in the bum tonight.
  17. Having a good old talk about something they've seen. The rose garden
  18. Today we visited the Botanic gardens over at Auburn. It has been years since I've been there. As kids we used to ride our bikes through these gardens almost every weekend. It has changed so so much. And for the better too! You have to pay now to get in, $4 per adult and kids free so it's not that bad. Makes for a lovely day out. They even have wallabies, kangaroo's, and emu's there now aswell as all the ducks and peacocks and other birds. Oh and the rose garden is still there too. It's gorgeous. I took stacks of pics, as expected, so be warned, and this isn't even half of them. This one was taken at the top of the steps near the waterfall. Bailey & Jack watching the waterfall. There is heaps of carp in the ponds. This web was huge!
  19. Glad to hear all turned out ok.
