Best Wire Collapsible Crates
k9angel replied to Staff'n'Toller's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
The vebo one's are my first choice too. I have bought several crates since I began rescuing and none have been as strong as the vebo one's. With the flimsier one's, I have to use cable ties otherwise I wouldn't trust them. -
Keeping everything crossed for puppy.

Poor little guy. Sorry I cannnot give advice as to what the problem may be but I would be making sure he is kept hydrated, it wouldn't take much for him to dehydrate, especially if he has a fever of 40+. It's a wonder the vet didn't keep him in and put him on fluids. When you lift the skin on the back of his neck does it spring back quickly or stay in a ridge?. Do you have any hydralite? that's good to help keep them hydrated, though if he isn't drinking on his own, you'd have to syringe feed it to him. Is he going to the toilet ok? Is there another vet around that you could take him to? or an emergency vet you can go to if he goes downhill through the night?

Awww...I think it's cute. :) She's probably just happy to have a new friend to play with. My old girl Gyps (when she was still with us) was a funny old chook when a younger one came into care. She absolutely loved them and would play zoomies and show off. You'd never guess she was 11 the way she carried on half the time. lol.

So sad. Poor cat. How can people be so heartless? -
Police are searching for a group of men who fatally injured a calf with rocks near the New South Wales-Queensland border last week. The men were seen throwing rocks at the cow on the edge of the MacIntyre River at Little Bondi, near Boggabilla, on Thursday afternoon. Police say the calf collapsed with extensive injuries and had to be euthanised. The animal's attackers, who are described as being aged in their early 20s and of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, fled in a while Holden Commodore. Witnesses have told police the offenders had been swimming in the river before the attack. http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/australian-news/13974681/calf-stoned-to-death-by-group-of-men/ What sadists... they must of made a mess of the poor little bugger. I don't know how anybody could do that. I hope they catch the basta@ds. R.I.P. little calf.

Cookie's story has made the Bankstown paper too. It made the Fairfield Advance but not the Champion. I am going to send Morgan an email tonight and ask if they could please put it in there next week as that is the paper that is delivered to the area Cookie was shot. The locals around there are the one's I want to see and read her story. I think if there is going to be any chance of catching the culprits - that would be the edition to put it in. Still I am extremely pleased her story is being told to the wider community. I hope it makes people think twice about being cruel to animals and I also hope it makes people think twice about letting their cats out to roam. There's a little article on the front page aswell as the story on page 15. http://digitaledition.theexpress.com.au/#folio=1 http://digitaledition.theexpress.com.au/#folio=15

I'd be feeding a handful of kibble in the morning and a half chicken frame at night. Unless they're really small chicken frames - I'd only be giving half.

This was my first thought too. ^^^ For the last few months, I have had an injured knee. It's fine to walk on, just hurts like hell whenever I put any external pressure on the kneecap. I don't bandage it, I don't limp or anything and I've never put any creams on it - yet one of my rescues - a little foxy x named Princess - often comes up to it and makes a fuss sniffing it with great concern. I didn't realise at first - but then it hit me a few weeks ago - she senses my sore knee!! Same for when Whitey boy when he was still with us. He'd have seizures and many a time I knew a seizure was coming by the other dogs pre warning me. They'd just get this certain look in their eyes and move away from him. I knew when Whitey was going to have one because he'd start doing this head shaking thing first, but the other dogs sensed an impending seizure before the head shaking even started. ETA Just saw your update Nelsona. Great to hear all has been sorted and that your Dad has seen a Doc and got the meds he needs. Thank Dog your boy picked up on your Dad not being well when he did.

It's happened a few times here. One of the scariest would of been when Jack was hanging around the front door and then I couldn't find Takoda. I felt so sick with worry. I asked Jack over and over again did he open the front door and accidently let her out. He kept saying "No". I checked the laundry thinking she was out there hunting mice. Nope. Nowhere to be found. I ran out the front and looked up and down the street yelling "Takoda, Takoda". It was dark so I ran inside to grab the car keys ready to search the streets and as I did thought I would just check the spare room, not that anyone had been in there. Sure as houses there she was... little biggar didn't even bother or attempt to scratch at the door when I was calling for her. Talk about heart attack. I felt so so relieved though when I found her. Turns out, Bailey, my Son, had been in the room and left her in there when he came back out. Then just the other week I went out to say goodnight to the doggies before bed and one was missing. Luki. I called and called and searched the yard high and low, but there was no sign of him. I went back to the garage where the other 2 were sleeping and looked again. No, not there. I thought 'Oh no, he's gone' and went into a panic. I then went around doing a finer search incase he was laying hurt somewhere. I went over the yard again - no sign of him, then the garage. This time I found him! He was curled up fast asleep in one of the kennels in there. Obviously too warm and comfy to come out when I called him, the little shite.
