  1. I too am very dissapointed in the new PR website. I have a few long termers that I would love to find homes for and although the enquiries were slow prior to the new PR site, they were still coming through. Since the new PR site was launched, I haven't had any enquiries.
  2. I agree. Especially if she appears to be in good spirits otherwise. I would also request a scan if she hasn't had one already. Thinking of you both and hope you get some answers.
  3. Great to hear she has been found and re-united with her family.
  4. Sorry for your loss MalteseLuna. R.I.P. Xin xxx.
  5. Poor Buckie and her family. I saw the footage on the news of the kid carrying her away and just hope she is ok.

I am so sorry Stellnme. Although he is not physically there to alert you to the sounds in the dark, to sit in the middle of the Grandchildrens games and to walk beside you through the gullies and paddocks, I am sure he is there in spirit. My thoughts are with you. Take care. Run free now Davey. xxx

  8. The father of a young woman brutally mauled by a dog at Whitfords beach has called for dangerous breeds to be muzzled. His daughter was walking her four-month-old golden retriever puppy Oscar when a bull terrier attacked at the popular beach yesterday afternoon. "She was on the beach with her puppy and a guy with his dog was coming the other way," her father John said. "The guy said 'don't worry, he won't hurt you', and the next thing you know he's gone for the puppy." The bull terrier's owner tried to pull the dog away as John's daughter Kellie, 26, grabbed it by the ear in a desperate attempt to drag Oscar free. Covered in blood and suffering extensive bites to her hands and arms, she grabbed her injured puppy and ran down the beach. John said she was in so much pain and shock she had to call a friend to take her to hospital and her puppy to the vet. Oscar was last night in a critical condition awaiting surgery on puncture wounds. John said Kellie, a graphic artist, was in pain but said she did not want the bull terrier put down. He said either the local council or RSPCA should assess the dog. He called for laws to force owners of dangerous breeds to muzzle them in public. "I assume this dog's still on the loose and if he's just turned suddenly like that there's obviously a problem," John said. http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/breaking/15119099/dog-mauls-owner-puppy-on-beach/ Poor girl and her pup. That must of been so terryfing, I hope they both heal ok. As for the owner of the dog responsible, no words.

  17. Good on you Louise6616. If only everyone were as committed to their dogs... I also agree with a strong metal crate, cable tied for extra strength. I use 42" metal fold down crates and find the vebo one's to be strong and sturdy. Get him used of it slowly and when you do go out, make sure he has toys and/or a bone (frozen is good, esp in the warmer months) to help keep him busy. I often squeeze a tasty food treat (bit of cheese, cabanossi or the like) into an empty softdrink bottle, take off the lid (so they don't eat it or choke on it) and put it into the crate with them. They can smell the treat through the bottle opening, but they have to work to get it out. You could also try leaving a radio on when you go out and he is in his crate. (preferably on a station that has lots of talking), so he can hear peoples voices and might not feel so alone. Goodluck and keep us posted. :)
  18. So Sorry Hesa. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. I came in here earlier and when I read your tribute, couldn't stop crying... What a beautiful tribute to your gorgeous boy. R.I.P. Panda. xxx
