All the best Andrea. :) -
I love this thread. I am an expert at teaching Takoda that just because there is a photo of a cat on a box, doesn't mean there is one inside.

The sad fact is a 2yr old boy wandered far from home and could of died. I am not perfect, far from it, but as a mother of 2 young boys myself, I sure as hell would not let either of my boys wander from home. Never. And from my understanding, it wasn't just a one off incident. "The child can wander for up to 1km away from home and end up at neighbours who subsequently bring the child back. Unfortunately on this occasion the child’s still missing," Sgt Gary Matthews told 3AW radio.

For Those Who Remember Das Bully Baz. July 2008

I am so sorry for your loss B+R. My thoughts are with you. I bet those 4 and a half years spent with you, were the best 4 and a half years of his life. Thankyou for opening not only your home, but your heart to Baz. Run free while you wait for your family at the Bridge Baz. xxx -

OMG I cannot believe this story. I am so glad the little boy and Dasher were found safe and well but sh!t, what were his parents thinking? How irresponsible. What if he was bitten by a snake or drowned in a dam or river or something. So many things could of gone wrong. He was already dehydrated and suffering from hypothermia when found, Poor kid. A little longer and it could of been too late. Thank Dog he had Dasher with him. By the sounds of things, he cares more about the little boy than his parents do, at least he didn't let the little boy out of his sight. ETA because I hit post too soon.

Good on you JednKirrasmummy, for giving Jed a chance at a normal life. I am so glad to hear his surgery went well and wishing him all the best for a speedy recovery. I think a 70% chance of a normal life post op, are pretty good odds. :) I got my sibe girl, Takoda, last year. She arrived on a plane from the NT and it was love at first sight. I was well and truly attached & committed, even before we got her home and out of the car. If she had of become seriously ill, there was no way I would of returned her to the breeder. From the moment I saw her and held her in my arms, she was mine - and there was no seperating us. Yes I would of contacted the breeder to let them know what was happening but I wouldn't of returned her. I would of done all I could, just like you're doing for Jed, to give her the best chance. Hugs to you both. You deserve them.

I was wondering the same. And apparently this all happened right out the front of a primary school as the kids were still coming out of school.

A teenager has had his ear torn off in an attack by two pitbull terriers in southwestern Sydney as he tried to save his pet. The 17-year-old was walking his own dog in the Bankstown area on Tuesday afternoon when he was set upon by the animals. He tried to rescue his dog but, as he did so, the two terriers attacked his legs. The teenager fell to the ground and the dogs attacked his head, with one of them biting off his left ear. Local residents at Lehn Road in East Hills rushed to help him and the two dogs fled. Paramedics took the youth to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition. His ear was found nearby and surgeons are attempting to reattach it. He is also being treated for bites to his left leg, the Ambulance Service of NSW said. The pitbulls were captured after the 3.20pm (AEDT) attack and their owner is assisting police and Bankstown City Council officers who are investigating. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2012/10/30/17/09/pitbulls-bite-off-teenager-s-ear Poor kid and his dog. How terrifying (and painful) that would of been.

I am sorry to hear your girl has cancer Dxenion. Although it wasn't the outcome you (or any of us), were hoping for, at least now you know, and when and if you have to make that decision, you'll know you've done all you could. Keeping you both in my thoughts and wishing you lots of love and good days in the time you have together. -
Fantastic news. Great poster too.
