Whilst I bombed out this weekend...credit must go to Jan and the committee members for putting on a great show..the show was ran in a professional manner, I noticed the hard working committee members working tirelessly throughout the day to meet all the exhibitors and judges comforts, emptying bins and others running around working diligently. The amenities are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend these shows in the future...Well-done to all the winners and those who had a successful weekend... I especially had the most enjoyable time camping, meeting some lovely Golden Retriever folk who were absolutely wonderful...it is people like these that make showing such a fun time and a memorable one Thank you Lyn and Sue. ;) Congratulations on a great show everyone!

I went to clark rubber and purchased 2xdouble bed 3" mattresses ..cut in half and had them covered...giant breeds do need a cushion surface for their joints...cost was around $250-00 (I think)for all compartments...you can go to the Op shops and get baby mattresses, they are also great depending on the thickness. My old trailer has carpet down as well...could be an option for you?

I Have just had a custom built trailer made for Great Danes...just over 6 meters in length...it is a tandem, brakes, wardrobe etc...it tows like a dream...my understanding was that most trailers only have the capacity for max weight 750 kilos...now with all the extra stuff we take to shows..umbrellas/gazebos/water/crates etc etc...it all weighs a tone...this trailer has a capacity of 2 tone...funnily when I first got it I was scared to tow it...but I am slowly getting used to it..it is about 3-4 months old...safety is always paramount when it comes to my babies so that is why I opted for a tandem...not sure what state you live but if you want to have a look see...to get some ideas, your more than welcome to have a look at it...I'm in Victoria and I will be at Bulla this weekend... :p
