  4. Hmm but if hubby was on call and got called away (has happened before) can you just imagine shorty me hoisting it up on the roof racks ha ha it would prob only fall off after Hubby just got home and I asked why the delux he said the shop had em all set up and it seemed so much stronger?? $150 compact $170 standard 3x3 $240 delux 3x3
  5. the 3x3 size is what I want but its the size of the delux packed - I dont think I would fit it in the car - the standard is still 3x3 but 30cm shorter. How do you fit yours in your car poocow?? I have a forester but kids in the back seat dont think I could manage this one lol Bec
  6. Jess I got really good prices locally for the gazebos if you want em? I got home today to find a delux in the lounge room from hubby - he figured we could use it for camping and picnics with the kids but its HUGE!! I think I may swap it for a standard 3x3 or compact bec
  7. WAY TO GO JESS AND LEO!!!!! ;) thats awesome!! Welcome to the madhouse undecided. I had all those same fears our first time round the superbrat pooped not 30 secs into it so have no fear, the judge had a cackle and so did I. The judge said" bet he walks better now" His take was if they dont embarrass you as babies theyre not doing their job. Toby and I dont sow well at all currently - we know it - but we have fun and each show we take something out of it even if its only the experience or what not to do One day we hope we eill get a whole lot better........one day................... 8. So I feed tobes raw chicken necks at night and royal canin puppy morning and lunch. He has been leaving the dry food lately and just hanging out for the necks which I am not happy with as it isnt balanced in itself. He wont go much for sardines tuna or salmon from a tin so I was mixing that with his dry to tempt him but he just isnt fishy. Once a week he get an egg usually sunday monring when were having hot breaky. So I have been taking the bowl off him after 15 min(I was just leaving it) and offering it again at next lunch ect. When he had a tummy upset a while ago he went from chicken and rice to royal canin gradually and I didnt give necks for almost a week. At tis time he ate the royal canin with gustom- flavour at last I guess. BUT if I put the same royal canin directly from his snubbed bowl into a treat ball he eats it - usually all of it over an hour??? Anyone else dog do this. He also treats the same food with loads of enthusiam if I take him for training or a walk and use it to treat him. as a side note this batch seems quite oily and is leaving a residue on his face so I am not happy with that. I may try a different brand to see how we go coat wise and palate wise but I dont want to have him think food refusal will get him what he wants. I have though about taking the necks away and making them more infrequent, He loves em and we dont mind buying them for him?? Also cann a six month old toy breed be given a chicken frame do you think? I give him drum sticks occaisionally too Thankyou Bec
  9. Sounds great. I spose I could have gone for a drive with my son I guess - not sure I will get time though. Yes please to the sqeekies if you go Deb I can fix you up at hillsborough Its a funny thing to want isnt it. Toby was very intrigued with a couple he saw in use at the shows it was a shame there were none at the van at hillsborough Bec
  10. Which one was gorgeous?? The brat???? LOL Wash n wear - I am jelous of that Although secretly I love grooming him - I am just not very good at it! Never white again though - he got better but I needed to be firmer with him tonight and it just wasnt in me. His tabling was me not him Wish I was entered at morriset though kicking myself - i wrote the enter by date down a week later than what it was oops - I want to buy a squeeky rat from the vendors lol! Bec
  11. Hey Jess, just wanted to say it was nice to meet you tonight - now you know why he is known as the superbrat!! He was soooo naughty He hasnt been out and about or had much play in the last week and he let rip tonight I have to say Leo is very gorgeous Toby didnt know what to make of the big happy boys tonight. He was looking for Leo after you left - so brave when they're not in his face my little boy is Nicky set him straight and was stern with him which is why he wouldnt go near her for a while (I didnt have it in me tonight) but she got down on all fours to make him happy again and in the end toby was back to loving her . Bec
  12. Oh yeah I think its clear the table makes it easier to groom him - it does not make me any better at it ;)
  13. Hey guys - just wanted to say thankyou for all your advice and let you know it didnt fall on deaf ears. We got our brand new table yesterday and already LOVE it. I went with a liberty terrier with grooming arm and noose. The guy from liberty was great ;) I got the taller one too. I am short but I prefer to stand and can use a stool if needed but my dog went to the edge with a look of "well I am not jumping of this" and promplty laid down and went to sleep while I brushed him out A pic of him on his new table - and yep very sturdy so I am VERY happy Cheers Bec
  14. Run free beautiful Fraser......play in the sunshine at the bridge without pain or suffering. So sorry to hear it ended this way, I was so hoping for a happy ending. Bec
  15. Hubby took the brat for a walk this arvo came back and 19 burrs later I had found a site that sells body suits will see if I can find it V. The lil brat wears a pink hairband, do you think if I made him wear a baby suit to obedience he'd get even more teased??? He's the only coated fluffy there and the only other with a topknot is an OESD???? Poor toby I have been seen there to clean him up a bit with a baby wipe too Might see if I can find something tougher looking lol
  16. V - I saw this post and thought yay exactly what I wanted to know then realise you posted it My boy must be like his Sister onyx - hubby has walked tobes the last few days and toby has had burrs too. BRATS i tell ya It takes ages and our little ones arent in full coat or coat change yet. Bec
  17. Hillsborough show training is on this week. It was on last week too but Nicky did two in row as she was away in the UK. Its at six pm - I think ring five but its the only one with lights on and you'll see everyone. I may be there it depends. Technically I can go because I would have been on Tamiflu the full time required, will see how I feel. If I am I will be the one looking for the extra leads for the kids lol. If I am there and you recognise the superbrat make sure you say hi Jess. Its very casual, just let em know your new ask where the sign in sheet is and sign in and pay then you jump on the end of the line. You table or stack while nicky is finishing of the one before. When she looks at your dog let her know your new ect. BTW it was SOOOOOO good to hear all went well and well done on the results!! We're not at morriset but will we see you at hillsborough after that?? Bec
  18. Hi, I have 4 and 6 year olds here too. Our puppy just turned 6 months old and came to us at just over 9 weeks of age. We have set boundaries and most of the time they are followed. Having said that my ratbag son and ratbag puppy are two peas in pod and at time require sinbinning in opposite ends of the house We have a puppy pen (our pup is indoors) and he also has a huge soft crate in my room. If the puppy is in the crate or pen he is out of bounds. no ifs or buts - its simply a no go and they no this. If they get too hyped pup is put in pen kids are sent away from the pen. Me and OH are the only ones allowed o open the pen and carry the dog. we have a toy breed and the kids would like to "huggle" him and carry him but its no go. Dog isnt allowed to play with their faces on the floor either. They cant touch him while he eats either. To counter all the cants the kids are very involved with his training which they love. I find this the best way to get both parties under control lol. There is a jar of treats they can access for the dog (the happy paws ones are great) that they offer toby for sit down going to the door. I have found the more involved they are the better they have been with the dog. Goodluck Bec
  19. Sammy I think we are destined not to meet lol. I tried to enter the morriset but was a little late with entries - long story my bad. I wish we were though it would have been our first in minor too We will be in the cessnock shows though Our trainer/judge is back so we hit show training again last week - Toby repeated his horrible show walk - and decided to muck up on the table - well Nicky soon fixed that Got the brat walking and tableing ok in the end. It appears I will be reverse handling him which should be hillarious - I only just learnt which way to go normally I think it works more on confusing him just enough he forgets to play up - he walked a beautifully straight up and back. He does however have the title of "the naughty one" in his show class. Yet in obedience class he does well????? Not sure if we can make training this week as my daughter and i are both on tamiflu for suspected swine flu so will see what happens. Toby though is very attentive and is refusing to go play or walk with the boys which is kinda cute. Deb we should get the gazebos side by side for the kids! they'd enjoy that and we could watch over them for each other while in the ring. the cessnock shows will see us all in minor by the sounds - scary
  20. Becks - I am very concious of that. He thinks the judge is the lastest diog toy and pulls like anything to get to them. I am happy for him to love the table and judge and so far the judges have made nice coments re his temperament and joy. I would love him to walk better though, When out on his daily walk he walks like a dream and in obedience too :D so I know he can do it The best he has ever done was when tabled first before his triangle. Once kisses were done he was happy to walk Now we hit minor can I coax him alomg with a toy to walk instead of pull? I need a sqeeky rat too lol he liked the look of other peoples just need to find them. Bec
  21. okay.....am off to see what a snake chain is........lol thankyou miss b
  22. So it appears all our work came undone today in Toby's effort to get to the judging table to play with the judge The judge suggested we may like to try reverse handling and made us have a go at it and another lady suggested maybe a fine check show chain as he is hitting six months this week and just getting a huge pull on him too. Ultimately I know I have to work with him very reg to get him to settle in the ring. I have been a bit reluctant to coreect him tooo much as he just loves it and I want him to be happy. I have been told by a judge not to correct him yet as he was sooo happy on the table. Unfortunately though our run is up in baby puppy though and we are now playing with the big boys, my baby is growing up yet showing no signs of maturity So can I use a check chain in the ring on a coated dog without hurting his coat?? He is a six month old Havanese. And what kind? Thankyou Bec
  23. I know of 2 non awards this weekend in the toy ring at hillsborough. I guess as a newbie its interesting to see that they do happen. Interesting and scary that is
