I am only specifically asking about belly bands for shows. Toby is toilet trained. He is also very good at peeing on command at shows although if he really needs to go he will go on the way to the clearing against a pole or poop bin. We are always outdoors. My issue was specifically coat on show day and was off topic anyways

i have to agree here. I have played with banding tobys sides and its the front and inner of his legs from willy to toes he gets - when distracted we might be lucky and he'll wee on his front feet too. He's very specially talented in this regard. people dont believe me until I show them his legs and belly after he wees. Incidently I also have a toy breed, a Havanese like BMP I am not sure how much diiference that makes. He's my first boy,

The wee on command is solid with him which is great as I need to get him to go on the grass in enough time to powder him dry as he is MESSY. its the whole leg lifting terrible aim I'd like to fix! I wish I could teach a girly squat

I have a male white coated dog (toy breed) he pees on command anywhere so no issues like those being debated - he has had one mistake on someones mat when younger that i washed off with water and our towels and still feel bad about - BUT I am curious as to how you get a boy to squat as he has terrible aim and does pee on his coat when he lifts his leg. I am thinking belly band might be the option but was interested in teaching a squat when I saw your post. Thankyou Bec

On the subject of training - Ash you really need to come to newcastle the superbrat was an honest to goodness angel last night! responded to a correction when given and we had a fill in trainer who hadnt seen him for a few months and was shocked at how good he was LOL Even behind and in front of other dogs!!
