  1. After reading your kid's symptoms it reminded me of a cat we had, she was doing the same things and turns out she had a stroke. She was about 12 years old when it happened. Hope Jessie gets over her problem.
  2. At my club the instructors almost laughed out loud when I took my two Siberians to training, now two years of training they call on them to demonstrate to the new classes how the exercise is done. Then we tried tracking and the club organized for a lady from Melbourne to come and show us the ropes, she was wonderful full of encouragement. So yes Siberians can do tracking, my girl does.
  3. Thank Eliza Jane I called him today waiting for him to get back to me.
  4. Hi There I'm in the need for a chiropractor for dogs in North East Victoria area but if I have to I'll travel to Melbourne. If anyone knows of a good reliable one can you let me know Thanks
  5. My Sibs love Mango, cranberries, watermelon, peaches, carrots, baby corn, green beans, clix biscuits, chicken necks with cheese sprinkled over them.
  6. Mine too. The local vet has a cat and they just go crazy when I take them there and they see him. They almost caught one in our back yard the other night.
  7. My Siberians love dried Mango, cranberries any dried fruit they will do cart wheels for them
  8. Mum got a new fishtank for christmas and Kelly the Pug counts them everyday
  9. I've always said any dog can pull a sled. I have huskies and a gig and we run ours with a GSP, a rotty cross, and kelpie cross. I reckon Mum's pug would be able to do it too as he's not to shabby keepin up with the guys
  10. condy's crystals from the chemist stops the bleeding.
  11. cool pic paddles, once the school holidays are over and the bike trail is clear of bike riders we are hitting it to give them somewhere different to run.
  12. The breeder of you pup should be able to get you an entry form. Some people download entry forms but I'm not sure where they get them from as I like to use the cheque book style, If you are a member of the Armidale Kennel Club someone there might give you one.
  13. What I did to train them to start off, I took my kids down to the local tennis courts (as we dont have a local dog park) and when they started to run I would say "hike up" and did this everytime I saw them starting to run. So now when you say "hike up" they start running. Didn't take long for them to do it on command. Now I ride a bike near my kids to encourage them to go in a straight line it's working.
  14. I'm in Myrtleford, between Wangaratta and Bright.
  15. Paddles, there is room between where you put your feet to scoot along if needed but you dont have to scoot all the time. I'm sure once you get them going you might be suprised with what they can do. At the moment because they have just started with the gig I'm only going on the flat until they are more experienced I'm lucky where I live we have a trail that goes along the side of the road from one town to the next which is mostly flat with a few small inclines.
  16. I cook all my kids treats and their main meals most of them have come from the top of my head others from friends. My fav is a slice 500gms of meat what ever you want to try - chicken mince, chicken livers, lambs fry, liverwurst, turkey mince 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup corn meal 1/2 cup skim milk powder 1/2 cup wheat germ water extras you can add eggs, carrots, cooked rice, parsley, sesame seeds, poppy seeds Blend meat and some water in a food processor/blender until sloppy In a bowl place all dry, then the meat and eggs if you are putting them in, stir adding water if needed, not too runny more like a dough mix. place on a greased tray in the oven for 20 min or so at about 160 c (fan forced) when cooked place on wire tray and slice into the required size. Keep in the fridge for 7 days or freeze until needed
  17. Get some condies crystals (it's a purple crystal) from the chemist or use some corn flour when the quick is first cut to stop the bleeding.
  18. Here i a pic of my kids on their second try
  19. Hi Paddles I got a 3 wheel gig last week, I have two Siberians and they have no problem pulling it. It's not that heavy, I got it from Windchill it's great runs smoothly. I have also only run one dog with this gig and he had no problem pulling it.

  21. Just wanting to know if anyone is going to the Rally O weekend in Albury next weekend?
  22. I did the prey chase with my boy last night he went crazy with it and even had a tug although only for about 3 seconds but he enjoyed himself, until his wicked sister wanted to play, she wanted the toy we were using but she didn't want to share, so now she is kept amused while I'm playing with my boy. I'm sure he will get it sooner or later
  23. ...unless it is necessary for some sort of training, perhaps? Wish mine DIDN"T want to tug all the time It's one thing I dislike my dogs doing. I want to use it as a reward for training as sometimes he like to play than have food as a reward, The other dogs keep taking his toys off him when he throws them around so I thought if he learnt to tug that way he wont loose his toys to other dogs
  24. Hi how can I teach my Sibie to tug? He puts the rope toy in his mouth and throws it around but as soon as I try to get him to tug he gives me the toy or he holds his mouth open over the toy but wont tug. Any hints on this would be great thanks
