I'll have two complete marked cat's by the end of today so then you can ask for any results you like and I'll share the info...... that is if the grounds have not been blown away hopfully the gale force winds wont happen
-
At our show we share grounds with the local footy club and they allowed us to use their toilets/showers last year as extra toilets to the ones close to the rings. Due to exhibitors ignoring the signs we placed around the footy grounds asking people to keep the dogs off the ground (as they were playing footy on the sunday) and not picking up the poop we do not have the use of the loos this year. Again we will be putting more signs around the grounds but I bet some exhibitors cant read and will use it for thier dogs toilet.

I have done "Delta training" for the last two years. Due to my work roster it was the only class I could attend often enough for my dogs to do some sort of training. What a waste of my time it has been. The food reward is not dropped off after the beginner class and check chains were a dirty word, slip collars only or harnesses. I have the two Sib's angelsun mentioned previously and in the 3 - 4 weeks we have been training with the check chain my kids walk beside me instead of pulling when they have had the slip collar on. I have been the dog/handler on the outer of the group not because my boy was a distraction but because one of the other dogs in the class had an issue with bigger dogs and having a couple of dogs between us was still distracting for the little shih/maltese cross, so instead of trying to correct the behavior in the little shih x my boy was removed from the group. The fully qualified delta trainer alway had some remark about trying to train Sib's and was even overheard saying "arnt you glad your not training this dog". There is a border collie that is lead aggressive and their cure for that is to ignore the problem and give the dog plenty of room so you don't upset him. I no longer take my dogs to that class as they are responding better in our new class and are getting weaned off the treats, not as many being used and they are not getting them for everything they do, unlike before when if they looked at you they got a treat. If they sat without you asking they got a treat. I would not recommend CGC Delta course to anyone

My back yard is not safe to walk in at night as my Sibs have booby trapped it. So I put in a sand pit and they have not dug another hole in the grass only in the sandpit

Whats The Worst Your Dog Has Done To Hurt You
kezzzza replied to Primedogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Myself -3 degree rope burn on my ankle from my sibs, a week off work as I was unable to put my work boot on or stand up for a long time, took about a month and a half to heal My Brother - concussion while hiding under the doona while the dogs played on top of him my boy did the ice breaker move and Derryn was down and out -
It use to take me 4 hours to do 2 Siberians now 1 1/2 to 2 hours using the dryer
-
My Siberian girl had the same symptom I took her to my vet and she xrayed her and found spurs in her shoulder. She has been put on Sashes Blend and I have taken to a chiropractor and he crunched her which has helped her alot. Other treatments we have been told about is swimming, having gold beads injected or if none of these work surgery which doesn't guarantee the spurs wont grow back
-
I got a dryer for my Siberians and wouldn't be without it, I wish I had gotten it sooner. I got mine from Pet Network I paid around $500, worth every cent.

I loved it Alvin was having a ball, it gives me hope with mine. -
I love showing babies you can get away with so much, the odd bounce on lead, giving the judge a kiss. Just remember to have fun and if he jumps around at his first shows laugh it off and then go home and practice more. Ask anyone who wants a pat to go over him - checking teeth, running the hands down each leg and back and the all important checking the testicles. I was lucky I grew up in a showing family so I guess you could say it was bred into me. Don't be embarrassed to ask questions at the shows as most people will help you.

Hi All I've had quite a few phone calls regarding Myrtleford's closing date for our April 10 and 11 show. The closing date is the 19th March not the 6th that some people have been told, don't know where they got that from. Thanks Kerry
-
I'm going to help out but no dogs coming along. So if I'm free to hold a dog I'll be around.
-
Well at least he had fun, lucky it want a micro bead cushion. I had one exploded in my lounge room, all the way to my bed room up the hall in the bathroom, in my brothers room as well as outside - hours of vacuuming not fun for me but my sibs enjoyed themselves
