Well we have our training class today and my two Siberians both had their brains with them and they did awesome. They are learning agility and today we had two sets of weaves a tunnel and a low - high walk (as they are just learning). Their sits/stays were spot on didn't move, they even did their recall and sat infront of me with out being asked. Then to top it off when doing our agility obstacles, I dropped the lead and let it trail behind them (so I could grab it) and they did their weaves then the tunnel and the low walk and another set of weaves with me only grabbing the lead once and that was to guide them and then when they finished the last weave sat when asked. I know this is basic stuff but for my two fur kids to both behave just blew my mind..........and no camera to prove it but I do have two witnesses I'm enjoying this while I can, hopefully this is the turing point in the obedience training.

Dog Shows On Pay Tv, What Ones Do You Like To Watch ?
kezzzza replied to jase293's topic in General Dog Discussion
There was a show on pay tv last year called cell dogs where dogs are rescued and trained by the inmates at various prisons then rehomed once they reached a level of training. Dog Whisperer, when the show cruffs or westminster. -
I reported a "dog trainer" for abuse to them and nothing was done. My bitch was learning sit, stay and wouldnt stay so he stood on her tail with all his body weight to make her stay, she yelped in pain and the when she wouldn't come when called (which happened just after he stood on her tail) he hit her on the head with his thick A4 diary. Another time I had contact with them there was a Siberian Husky in the local RSPCA and I tried to rescue her before it was too late so i called them no answer, I called them again every day for a week and at different times and spoke to no one but the answering machine. I even went to them and it was closed with no one attending to the animals

I'm A Bit Cheesed Of With The Person Driving The Car
kezzzza replied to Gamby's topic in General Dog Discussion
While setting up for a class down at the showgrounds this 4wd stopped a dog jumped out and the car drove around the road that lead into the show grounds with the dog running behind it, when he came close to me he opened the door and let the dog in. this was pretty close to me so I mentioned that he should get out of the car and walk his dog as he had no control over the dog and I was told to F***** off and mind my own business. Next time I see him I'll take down his rego number do you report it to the police or to rspca? -

Tallangatta this Friday hope the weather is better than last years down pour. Who else is going?
-
Yes they are, they are at southern river WA on the 9th April, one is for All breeds dog club of WA and the other is Hills kennel club. Do i have to pay membership fees to be able to enter? im thinking not and that i just pay non members fee, is this right? Some clubs with give their members a discount on entry fees, so if your not a member of the club(s) then you pay the non member price

My Maisie Is A Licking Machine
kezzzza replied to frenzied1's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We had a pug that did this to the other pugs, it was like she was in a trance so when ever she started doing it we got her attention and she stopped licking, took a few months to get her out of it but eventually she stopped. -
My Siberians can take days to eat their pigs ears. You can get vegie ears from D4Dogs online http://www.d4dogz.com.au/

Like To Share Your Recipes For Treats?
kezzzza replied to sheena's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I have many recipes for doggie treats this is my kids current fav, No-Bake Peanut Butter Carob Bites taken from Dogs in Canada mag 3 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats 1/4 cup ground flaxseed or sesame seeds (optional) I use flaxseed 1/4 cup carob powder 1/2 cup all natural peanut butter 1/2 cup milk (I use powder milk made up) 2-4 tbsp honey or maple syrup - I have tried both and found honey held it together better In a large bowl, stir together the oats, seeds and carob powder. Combine th epeanut butterm, milk and honey in a small saucepan set over medium-high heat and cook, stirring until melted and combined - dont worry about it being smooth Combine wet with dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Place in the fridge until it's cool enought to handle. shape into walnut sized balls or make larer or smaller to suit the size of your dog Keep in the fridge for about a week if they last that long -
On December 4th there will be a mock rally trial with a bbq after. At Myrtleford Showgrounds from 3pm, prizes to winners. Cost is $5 this includes bbq dinner. Anyone interested in coming please contact me so we know how much meat and salads we will need Kerry
