  1. The only baking I do is for the dogs, I make all their treats and supply the local groomers with my cookies. If I'm baking for people it's usually done at a friends place while I'm teaching her how to bake.
  2. http://hooplaha.com/beebee-the-chihuahua/ I received this by email. So cute
  3. There's a little pet supply shop in Myrtleford called Under 1 Woof, that allows dogs inside. Sometimes you will see a dog being tied up outside and the owners come inside only to be told to got back and bring their dog inside.
  4. A man comes into the shop today asking questions about regiestered breeders and the cost of puppies. He told us that he had called the VCA regarding pricing of puppies and he was told that because the breeder is a registered breeder the cost of puppies is a minimum of $1000. He was told that it was VCA policy, WTF!! we asked him what was said to him and he repeated that he was told it was VCA policy for registered breeders to charge a minimum of $1000 for a puppy Surely this is wrong and the VCA is not telling prospective owners this information.
  5. my Huskies will be getting stuffed toys. Freyja will get a stuffed Lamb Chops (from the tv show). Suggen will be getting a 5ft snake filled with 6 squeekies and Tala the Shepherd pup will be getting a unstuffed toy with lots of squeeks in it. The only thing that kills the stuffed toys is the weather after they have been left outside.
  6. Hanging out in the "Kennel" which is more of a play gym than a place to sleep

I get home and turn the electric blanket on then go and have a shower only to get out of the shower and head off to bed to find two Siberian Huskies and one GSD puppy taking their positions on the bed but only where the elec blancket is. Do I move them NOOOOOOOO I sleep on the cold side of the bed. The things we do

  11. We are unable to hold a show this year for a few reasons, It's a bit messy, paper work got mixed up at VCA while I was on holidays and didn't get resolved until the end of the year. A lot of political stuff went on that I really dont want to get into on here. It's a shame as we already have BIS and RuBIS prizes alread donated from our wonderful local vet. We will have one for next year thought

  16. I was thinking of camping but I dont think so now. I dont enjoy sleeping while raining at the best of times.
  17. I had one once call me two days before the show begging to get in. When I said that I've already said no to many before her she came out with well just enter me and I wont tell anyone!!!!! I agree with Ceilidh the schedule goes out months before and if you cant enter before the closing date stiff. If the shows closing date is on a friday I will accept entries until the next Wednesday but only if the postal date is before/on the closing date as I live in a rural area.
  18. I wrote the cc's out and the names of the dogs arnt coming to me but I can remember the last names of the owners. Langford's for BIG and Wrights for RU.
  19. When we had about 10 Siberian Huskies, the local ambulance drivers (who were friends of my family) would turn the siren on at one fence post and would drive really slow past out place and turn the siren off at the other end of our block then they would stop and listen to the sounds they created. When we asked them why they did it they said because they liked the sound of the Husky chorus
  20. Very sad news indeed. Thoughts to his family
  21. A few years ago we had an Elkhound who jumped out of my nan's laundry window (thinking he had been forgotten) while we packed the car. He hurt his front right leg badly and took a few weeks to heal. Years later you could ask him how his leg was and you could see him thinking, "now which one was it?" and he would start limping. Sometimes he got the wrong leg and you would say that's not the sore leg and he would limp on the other leg. This went on for ages
