I'm pretty sure they charge now to leave dogs/cats, etc there. Might just email her and say i won't come and let the others get her. See what she says then. So silly. I just feel bad for the dog and if another moron answers the ad that believes what the nut tells them, that poor pup will have a shit life.

She was chained in the garage, that's what he said. Don't think she was outside, but who knows. He felt bad about it all.

9wks ago my boy was used at stud by a guy who has had litters before, he also bred the girl. It was her first litter. He emailed me pics of her last wk, didn't look very big, and i thought she'd go early. She did, only by 2 days. He left her that day on a chain and when he came home he found 4 pups and very cold. Poor girl and poor pups. So he got them all settled and she was doing her job i guess. Now 3 days later he emails again saying they're all gone. I guess he didn't spend much time helping and keeping an eye on them. He doesn't know what happened, but i'm sure they'd be ok if they were given a hand. So my question now is, would you give him another mating for free? Would you give a mating at all again? If you would, would you charge same as last time? I feel bad, they were such nice pups too. Such a shame.

Lynda, i called her earlier today and she crapped on and said her vet said to just leave the vaccs till when they were ready and could do it with desexing. I've arranged to go there tomorrow to see the pup. They want $100 for her too. and just getting on net now i got these emails from her.... just informing you that the interest for Lillie has been a lot. We are telling all people who want her that it will be a case of 'the highest' offer for her. All of you have experience with large breed dogs and or boxers so no one person is better than the other. Thanks, I have had over 200 people looking at lillie and emails all over the place. We will give her to you for 100 still as i beleive you interest in her is not for breeding purposes. If you would like her kennel also you can have that for an extra $80. Its a clip together kennel and can be hosed out easily. Its made of that hard durable plastic. I have a dr appointment as i told you on the phone but im happy for you to come at 9pm if you like. my husbands mobile is ......., please send him a text to confirm anything. We only need the $100 to cover vet bills and as you can imagine having a dog is expensive. Also she eats twice a day She means 200 ppl looking at the ad. I was actually going to ask if i could get her for free, so i guess that will be no after that email. i'm not doing any bidding for her. I'm going to take a day off work tomorrow, so i could meet someone half way. But i can't pay for her, too streched at the moment. Nekhbet, if i had the time i'd take her and teach her a few rules. But i think it's best she go into a home where she won't be moved again.

This dog will be a piece of cake, she just needs a sane person with knowledge. She'd learn so quick and be a great pet.

Here's a part of her email to me... Lillie will have to have obediance training not puppy school. Puppy school is pointless for her, she will have these behaviours for a few years so puppy school wont help her a lot. She has to be harnessed and muzzled when she is walked, harness for control of her or you will land on your face or into a tree and a muzzle because boxers are renound to mouth people who can interpret it as biting. She weighs well over 20kg now but is like a bear and loves to sit on your lap.. not realising she is rather big!! Toilet training is her biggest issue..!! we have had trouble with this, she thinks its a game like everything else

I came across an ad and felt sorry for the dog. The woman sounds nuts. She babled on for ages in the ad about the dog, who is about 5mths old, a rotty x boxer, saying she's not bored, but destroys things, CAN"T be with kids as she's too bouncy. They can't keep her for what ever stupid reason. Saying she HAS to be walked on a harness and muzzled!!! I want this dog out of that house asap, i'd take her but i have too many here so no room. She also said if not rehomed soon they'd take her to the pound, and if they do that and tell them all this crap i'm sure this pup won't have much of a chance of getting another home. This woman is nuts!!! If anyone can take her, even just to foster, please let me know ASAP!! Thanks.

My neighbour came over telling me his dogs were 'stuck' and he was worried there was no way to seperate them and wanted to know what now!!! I explained it to him, etc. Now the prob is, his female is a 9yr old malt, she apparently already has 'leakage' problems and she is chubby too. I told him it's best he get her injected to abort but he doesn't want to do that, or desex, or anything else. I told him things could go wrong, etc. He also said it probably won't work cos she mated last season and wasnt pregnant from it, but then the male was still a young pup and had mated their other girl (she no longer alive, long story) So i was thinking that last time maybe it didn't work cos either 1, he was too young, or 2. he was used up from the other mating. Anyway, what do others think? Is she going to fall pregnant? I have seen older dogs have a litter and be fine, but this girl i don't think is totally healthy enough, and apart from incontinence, dont' know what other problems she might have. I will try and talk him into aborting it in a wk or so again, but want some other thoughts on it.

pass the word everyone. Need lots of support to try and change things. luvsablue - the site is off the facebook. It's www.schutzhundaustralia.com

Probably this has been posted before, but in case not, on face book there's a group called 'global friends of schutzhund' join up and support. Need lots of numbers and need lots of help to stop this sport from becoming extinct like most dogs things slowly are.

Dont have any good pics, i'll try to get one tomorrow. As for crossing mals, her dad is a mal. Since there's not many dutchies in oz they need to still mix them to keep the outcrossing going otherwise you'd end up with tons of problems just working from a few dogs. Need to get a bigger gene pool. I love my girl, she's great, so clever and so willing to please and so obedient. At home she's a ratbag at times, but once out she's very good much to my amazement. lol.

I have one a girl, still a pup, will be 1 in may. Sweet dog, calm girl. Tried her at schtz couple mths ago and she went from sweet sooky girl to a beast. Never did any prey work with her, nothing, she just turned on like she'd been trained. It was amazing. I think i was luck to have found her. Most of that litter went into working homes. Just looking at the sites posted here, the working dutchies site has her grandad -Boy and her grandma -Kim on it. My girl has been pretty protective from the time she came here, even as a pup. I'm told her litter mates were worse, having aggression towards most things at 3mths. Are you looking for one?

I haven't read all the posts, don't have time right now. I just want to add that for a dog to be protective it needs good breeding. Sadly i wouldn't recommend any show lines, they might as well be cavaliers that also can't walk properly. Working lines are better all round, but again it depends on where they come from. Any person can start breeding working lines, but it doesn't mean they'll stay true to form. So you need to pick a good breeder and they're hard to find these days. As for teaching the dog to bark on command isn't enough. If you dog was doing barking happily, how would that intimidate anyone? Most people are getting smarter with dog behaviour or maybe they're just too dumb and ignore the dog. The dog needs to back up his bark, no bluffing will do it. I know of a dog, my boys dad actually, he is a working boy, he's now working as a security dog. He was working in a busy place in frankston and had many many idiots come up to him, no matter what the dog was doing or what they were told, they approached. This dog is not one you want to approach, so the idiots that did ended up getting their skin ripped. The actual bite finally made those back off, some needed just to see the dog was serious. Basically if you're going to be in a situation where you might be in danger, then you want a dog that will stand his ground and not back down no matter what. My boy is a funny dog, he's just over 2yrs old and when you turn him on he's very playful looking, he'll bite etc, but when you start to fight him and hit, etc, he doesn't run away, he becames very mean and stands his ground all the more. There's not many dogs out there that will take a beating and still attack. I've seen heaps in training that put on a good show, but you use too much defence, they back off. I personally wouldn't want a dog like that, and that's not what a shepherd should do. They were bred to stand their ground not run at first site of danger. Any dog will bark at noise in their yard, my pug used to, but you approach and she'd lick you to death. Barking just isn't enough most times.

Thanks hopenfox. I'll let them know. That's crazy. Hope it works for them too.

Thanks. Not sure exactly why he's got it. Just know it's a urinary thing, the vet said his diet has been too high in ph and that his food needs certain levels and so he's on urinary food. I'm guessing it's the ID food.

Need some info for a friend, she has a pointer, he's a few years old, entire. Recently started to drip blood, so after tests, etc, the vet told her that they can only feed him special food which will cost them around $50 a wk as they have to buy from vets. It's something about ph levels having to be a certain level, etc. Just wondering if there's an alternative, i'd think there would be. Surely there's a diet that they can make themselves. If anyone has any ideas or experience, would be great. Have to say, i feel like saying to her, told ya so. They bought him from a pet shop as he was last one, going very cheap as he was getting old and was close to being put down. Who knows where he's from. Ah well. Now just have to work on getting him sorted and keeping their bill down.

Neo mastiff x Dogue De Bordeaux x American Bulldog Yummy

I had a look at different brands and their percentages. All were for large breeds and yet a huge difference. If you really didn't know what you were looking for or that there was a difference, you could cause some serious damage. Thanks for info.
-
Thanks. I said about the barf diet, it's what i use here. I know about growing them slow just not sure as to what the percentages are. Looked on the net for info and most say that anything over 25kg as adult is LARGE. I would never thought that. This pup is 20kg at 4mths. Did find that eagle pack is meant to be good too, so might recommend that too. Thanks.
-
My Friend got a large breed pup and i'm just wondering what others recommend for them. I know their diet needs to be different as they grow quick and are heavy, etc. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I would like to do agility but not sure where there's clubs that do it and which are good. Anyone know of any good ones near Frankston?
