  1. What an amazing person this man is......... Giving this unique breed the oppurtunity it so deserves, Thank you for sharing.
  2. Decided to re-arranged the furniture in our house which also included the furkids sleeping arrangements, well they are totally disgusted and both are very unsettled.....looks like I need to re-arrange again! LOL,more intune with these guys than people I think!
  3. We have rehomed a precious girl and her previous owner also came to visit, mainly to see if she had settled in. The owner was concerned about her girl, and had rehomed her as her own circumstances had changed, but was clearly missing her. We allowed visits but on nuetral grounds, so the dog wasn't in a familiar environment. Worked very well..........we still have contact, updating experiences, photos through FB, the prior owner has moved on and has a new fluff ball in the family but still appreciates the contact of her princess. I agree, nuetral ground.
  4. We have been hiking through our local forest for the last six weeks, averaging 5-10 km,3 times a week, without any incidents................until today! Set off with two excited sibes and we were enjoying this lovely bush track when a wallaby jumped onto the track which sent the kids running with me attatched.............OMG did not realise I could run 100m in seconds So OK recover, with fully alert, hypo Huskies, we continue. Finn and Karmas are finally settling into a even gait when Yes another wallaby presents itself!!!!! Enough of our wonderful wildlife, time to find a less stimulating environment, so we head back to the car only to be confronted by a Goanna Beach ended up being a great option
  5. He is just gorgeous! I'm sure you will have him smiling again
  6. was thinking the same, we have our boy booked in to the vet tomorrow, as he does carry excess weight and through limiting his food and an increase of exercise, I feel there is an underlying medical problem
  7. Nelson RIP How sad at such a young age,you are now running free............when you should be still with us :p
  8. I would like to thank everyone for enlightening me on this subject..........it has been interesting reading for someone that had no idea. Definately food for thought.
  9. Please, can people enlighten me on de-barking..........................as I truely do not understand why this happens!
  10. Stunning pic!! I love sibes too. He's pretty cute - that photo shows everything about him. He's calm but cheeky, very trainable when you know how to work with him (he was off leash and in a down stay in that photo) and conpletely gorgeous. Much better than those evil beagles huh Bec?
  11. Definately Sibes..............a challenge every day .Love there pure independance and enjoyment of life every time they wake up it is a new adventure for them. Sheer pleasure for myself to own this breed!
  12. As persephone said, stop feeding table scrapes as they can upset a stomach in any dog. And yes, Huskies do self regulate there food and do enjoy variety...mine do love their raw diet with tins of sardines and tuna in natural water thrown in on occassions. My boys also turn their noses up at commercial canned food. Have a vet check to ensure there are no underlying problems though. Hope everything works out, as I know how stressfull it can be for the owner when your dog isn't eating the amount that you feel they should be eating.
  13. WHAT A GREAT MUM!!! Can see your smile never leaving your face!! Enjoy your new puppy, who is absolutely gorgeous! Keep us all posted as you both grow together. One lucky girl!
  14. Hey there all the enthuasists out there, just thought I would share a photo of my new scooter that arrived last week, it is so exciting! ;)
  15. I`m in Metung. East Gippsland. Already know the interest it generates! I tend to take Zultan to tracks where he can run rather than the constant stopping, to which he gets very frustrated with And this is his reply to people who dare to stop us. Thanks for all the encouragement, Please share the good and not so good times.
  16. Thanks for the advice, went to the other thread, answered some questions, but was just wondering what others use.
  17. Hi there everyone, Just wondering the best dry food on the market that others are using, and I know the supermarket blends aren`t the best, so advice on what others use and why would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bonnie
  18. Hey there, Already have his harness and gangline ordered through Windchill just waiting with anticipation for them arrive. I have been on all the sites suggested and more LOL and they have helped me in the basic training.
