Have a safe trip to everyone who are leaving to get puppies! I've met my little boy and he's just wonderful! His name is now Barney . I'll post pics soon, most likely in the new thread.

Leaving any minute now for the 12 hour drive to meet the breeder and pick up puppy!

I think I'm going to go crazy with the camera this weekend, so be prepared for a few, lol. Thanks everyone for the info! I'll definitely look into it .

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's the puppy and adolescent play group thing? I'm picking up my Samoyed puppy this weekend, so the puppy sounds interesting?

Us too - I have a feeling the week will pass very slowly... I have 6 sleeps! (sleeps are shorter than days!) This is torture.

Congrats to everyone who has their pup! I get to pick my boy up in exactly 3 weeks time!! I'm not sure who he is yet. I'm soo excited! Here's one of the two terrors (Tilly (poodle) and my parents dog) in the puppys big boy crate. I don't know if it's going to be big enough for when he's older. More shopping to do! Question on how everyones going about socialising- Are you going to walk your puppy around places (In arms) to help socialise? Does that pose a great risk? I've already planned to make play dates with known dogs but I've always wondered about the latter.

Hey guys, Can anyone point me in the direction of a good site for puppy pens? I'm looking for the sturdy ones with the gates. I've seen a couple in a few pet stores, but they never have the bigger sizes. Thankyou if anyone can help. My puppy (whichever one he is- He's a Samoyed) is now 5 weeks old. They're incredibly cute! Like little white bears!

So I guess I'm kind of offically waiting for a puppy! Lol. I'm not sure exactly how long I'll be waiting, as I'm hoping to get a show potential and they're around 3 weeks at the moment. I'm getting so excited but I'm nervous too. .

Hi Poppydog! What Persephone said! References and proof of training. That's what I did, I just added extras onto applications. I know there's this website that makes little dog resumes that you can add onto applications. Not sure how they would be received though.

So I've been playing around all night with the camera, and I took some I like but I thought I'd better start with a picture of Tilly. So I woke her up and made her pose. Poor girl, you can see it on her face. Week 1- I was trying to fiddle with the manual settings and it was too dark, so I lightened it a bit. I changed the size too because it was huge when I stuck it in here. It looks better smaller anyway

Hey guys, I'd be interested in coming to one sometime if that would be okay with you all? I've been thinking about borrowing my grandparents overweight cavie and taking him for walks but socialising might be good for him (and me, lol) too.
