  1. They look really interesting. What didn't you like about them WA?
  2. Is it the only site that will have BOB etc photos?
  3. I prefer the Petstock near me, good service and they have people who know what they're talking about. I've been into best friends a couple of times and walked out shaking my head at the service. It also sells birds, mice, rats and fish.
  4. I use a harness. I have a small car so I can't fit a crate in. Would if I could. And since last week I've been locking the windows as Barney accidentally opened it right down, while we were doing 100km on the highway.
  5. I've always had a thing for poodles. The ones I've met have adored their owners/family and that's the kind of dog I wanted. So I got my little Tilly and she is the most loving sweet girl. She loves everyone in the family and is just a cuddle-bug. I'd originally looked into the Finnish Lapphund for my second dog, but I met some Samoyeds at the Royal and fell in love. Researched them for like a year and found a fantastic breeder. They are such characters! And although Barney can be an absolute terror he also has a sooky loving side which comes out. He's also very friendly and loves everyone. He's SO different from Tilly in regards to training. It takes a lot more to get him to do something than it does with her. It's fun and challenging.
  6. Here's one "If a dog follows you and looks at you it means they're hungry, if you don't feed them they will attack you and eat you" Of course their dog follows them, he knows he's going to get some yummy fatty scraps!
  7. No problem! Yeah I was going to sign up for the next set of classes but forgot to lol. I've also been looking for other places for obedience. Haha! Don't we wish that were true... Lol. It really sucks, I wish there were more options. The caboolture kennel club have a Facebook page I think it's set up as like a persons account so search Caboolture Kennel-Club and it should come up.
  8. There might be people offering private lessons though?
  9. I don't think there is show training on the Sunshine Coast... I never found any. I've just been going to Caboolture for show training. If you find anything let me know! 45 minutes is a long way when you're tired lol. But there's the sunshine coast dog obedience club.
  10. I think if you know you can't keep up with the grooming then have her clipped to a length you can maintain, otherwise it's just stress on you and her. I'd find a good groomer and get them to show you how to properly maintain her coat with the proper tools if you want it longer. Or just have her booked in regularly at the groomer to keep it up.
  11. So glad it's all worked out . My Tillys absolute FAVOURITE thing to do is "help" my mum make the beds... She gets right up there and rolls around digging, snorting. And then hides in the doona :D. good luck... Poodles are crazy :p
  12. Haha I did this just this morning to see what Barney would do... He just barked and ran and jumped over and on me. Didnt really care lol. He probably thought it was a game.
  13. I can't get over how cute she is!! I've never really been one to "squee" over puppy pictures, but she's done it! Glad to hear she's feeling better after her desexing
  14. Narrrgh I have a show on the 5th . Barney needs some nice friends so if any others are organized, we're in!
  15. Oh my god she's adorable!!! Love her name!
  16. I'm interested in what this iggy scream sounds like as well! lol. Beautiful puppies everyone my Barney is a grub at the moment. Spent the afternoon chasing his "big sister" Tilly and barking at my parents dog. He's now fast asleep with his head in his water bowl .
  17. You know Bjelkier, Dante is just so elegant and composed (and cute at the same time). I think Barney would have to be the big dopey cousin. Yay for Dantes toilet training!
  18. It's so awesome to watch all the puppies grow Here's a few pics of Barney. He is such a ratbag. He's just fallen asleep, thank god. He thinks everything on the ground needs to be in his belly, so I have to watch him like a hawk! His show training is going really well, he gets a little too excited at dinnertime but it's getting better . And he's really good at 'come' and throws a lot of enthusiasam into it... that is, he actually THROWS himself at me. He throws himself around a lot. He's very clumsy, he'll be following me so closely and watching me so closely he doesn't realise there's a kitchen bench in front of him and walks right into it. OH he also just looooovesss dragging his water bowls everywhere, into his bed, into my feet, outside, just anywhere really. He likes to water the tiles too, he's so helpful. I'd say he's getting used to my constant "confused- disbelief- shaking head" look I give him. The Sook And here's a few of his first 'zoomie' The kid's insane.
  19. I found a link to it! . Theres a picture too. http://www.ourbrisbane.com/photos/2117020....e-lead-dog-park
  20. So the bf tells me the area was called Nudgee Green. Anyone know anything about this park? Or has it been discussed already... Sorry if it has!
  21. There was a nice park (correct me if im wrong lol) I saw when I was in Brissy a while ago. Northside. It had agility equipment in there and there was another enclosure too. It seemed kind of busy when I went passed it. I'll have to try and figure out where I was. It was in a kind of estate area.
  22. I'm in for the next meet! As long as it's Bris somewhere not the Gold Coast. My little Barney will have had his last shots etc so he'll be ready to make some nice friends
