It's not water repellent and it was only outside once with a light shower that went for 5 or so mins.. i had to bring it inside to dry it and wash it! it lives inside now! Yup we have two of them for our monsters. We ordered the medium size thinking it may be a little small for Knuckles and Dutch and they ended up being HUGE! Put together I can lay on them and it's almost a single mattress size. Our two <3 them sooo much, but the are LOUD! Really scratchy loud and when the dogs fuss and fluff up the bed to settle in for the night it's very noisy (the dogs sleep in our bedroom)

Lightroom / Macs / Storing Photos
KnucklesDutchnUs replied to Winterpaws's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
your Iphoto pix are in the 'Pictures' folder, the address should be: Computer > Hard drive > users > username > Pictures You should really be importing your photos from your camera using "image capture" found in your applications folder and use "preview" just to look at your images if you are not processing them When you are happy with your processing in Lightroom you should export them to a folder in your Documents folder, which means you don't have to open Lightroom every time you want to see an image - also you should have little to nothing on your desktop as Mac's are configured in a way that the RAM looks at everything on the desktop before allocating the RAM to your running programs, which can slow your computer significantly. At the moment your images in Lightroom are probably being stored in a temp folder created by the program for easy access. If you need an external hard drive you won't need it to view the images already in Lightroom, but it may help if you are running out of room on your laptop, to back up. -
She's such a cutie! Well done with the pix Bec!

Dogs You Know/own In Ads
KnucklesDutchnUs replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
My old dog Thorn was in the movie 'Candy' with Heath Ledger. My dad had to walk him back and forward as Heath did a drug deal in the park. And Ruthless's baby Chopper is the 'face' of a marketing book coming out later this year -
this photo made my heart swell - it's so beautiful! Love the love - Astred

it was cheeky of me to use it but used the opportunity to give Ruth a plug! Plus your doggie looks gorgeous in the photos! Good luck!

Stupid Owners With Ill-fitting Dogs
KnucklesDutchnUs replied to HeavyPaws's topic in General Dog Discussion
Thanks mate cheers Bob -
IMHO training = 80% training the owner + 20% training the dog. We have had people come to our house and train us and the dogs and have found it incredibly beneficial. - Astred

Stupid Owners With Ill-fitting Dogs
KnucklesDutchnUs replied to HeavyPaws's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hi The ignorance of some owners is increddible ! Good on you for trying to get through to them though. Any chance of changing the title of this thread to "Stupid owner rant". It's probably more appropriate to the content and lord knows the last thing we need is another thread that ends up being closed at 18 pages of people trading insults on the pro's and con's of bully breed's. Cheers Bob -
Check out the Snooza D1000. Tuff as nails and they do Giant size. Cheers Bob

Years ago I took my old dog Thorn into the design agency I used to work in, just for the day. And I could tell exactly where he was throughout the day by the "gah!"s emitted by my co-workers when he would come up out of nowhere and nudge his cold wet nose between their hand and mouse - insisting on them petting him. My dream is to have my dogs come to work with me every day. One day it will happen -sighs. - Astred

I Was Robbed This Afternoon - Dogs Were Home!

I would certainly have the locks changed ASAP. Having worked in some pretty seedy areas I can tell you that one tricks theives use is to make sure that the door they plan to use to exit the building is locked, (door is left open when they are in there but is locked) that way if they are disturbed in the middle of a job they go through the door, close it after them and whoever has disturbed them has to have keys to follow them out. It will buy enough time for them to jump a fence etc. Bob -
Aarggh!! Charch is a star! :) "woof!" So good ^_^ Congratulations Bec, this is a BIG deal you should be really proud ^_^ Us and our brood love it. - Astred

we have all the shows (from the list above) set to record on the IQ, so far we have just seen the one ad about a little boy blowing bubbles... can't wait to see Charch!

Interesting Things That Happen In Dog Parks
KnucklesDutchnUs replied to corvus's topic in General Dog Discussion
Knuckles was play wrestling with another dog in the park once, when the other dog got a little rough Knuckles's mate Max noticed and ran from the other side of the park and body-slammed the other dog off Knuckles. They all went back to playing then, but no more wrestling. -
Awesome!

Look at your gorgeous babies - so sweet! -
Yeah generally PC = windows machine. It has become part of the vernacular. Originally PC = personal computer because before that computers took up huge rooms and people (like my cobol programmer father) worked on terminals (and wore very wide brown ties ) BUT! Apple Mac computers use different processors and hardware (well they used to!) than windows machines so they are different types of computers not just different operating systems.
