Yep it is run by the Samoyed Club, it is their annual open show. I am sure Dakota will be more than welcome and no you don't have to be a member to come along. It is the 18th of April, I think it starts at about 11am but I will have to check the Snow Courier to make sure

Sorry to butt in Pip The National is only every three years so it isn't in Melbourne until 2013, I think. You should pop along to the Samoyed Open Parade at KCC Park next month. I will be there, pretty sure Kel and Bindii will be too

How very exciting Icemist, my fingers are crossed for you
  5. Ahhhh.....on that subject, I have just one word for you................ENELL!!! I will never wear another "undergarment" to show in now. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! Yep they are brilliant, I have a few for horseriding It just didn't occur to me that I would need an appropriate bra to run around a show ring a couple of times. The black lacy number I was wearing just didn't cut it
  6. Lance is my oh's absolute hero, so I get a full rundown on what has happened that day when I get home from work What a superstar he is, winning four in a row
  7. Bugger I can't see the pics In my four months of showing I have learnt that if you are *ahem* well endowed make sure you wear the appropriate bra

Thanks Icemist Little paws are exciting, we were considering having a litter from Coco which would meant we would have 4-5week old puppies at Nationals time, but it would mean mum or I would have had to stay home and I absolutely love the National and have been looking forward to it for over a year now so we decide to have a litter from Coco and Shimmer after the National. (I don't know whether two at once is more crazy). Queensland are going to put on a show, some of the things they are doing they are setting the bar extremely high. So you don't know if your girl is pregnant yet? For those that have no idea what the National is: It is a dog show held once every three years. Moving around different states, this time it is in Brisbane, Qld and the following will be held in Melbourne, Vic. It is judged by a specialist from overseas and Samoyeds from all around Australia attend. It is the biggest Samoyed show. I think I might have to go

  12. I hope it is this place and I hope it has too If it is, a few teens were charged last year with breaking in and stealing (rescueing / liberating) quite a few puppies

  15. Won't get into a debate, too late at night but how very sad for the family involved
  16. What the hell?? Was she just not paying attention to her dogs. Gawd I would die of embarrassment if my dogs did that and do anything to fix it
  17. We moved into our home two years ago, I promptly pulled up the horrible 30 year old carpet in all the living areas and called in someone to sand and polish the boards for me. Worst 2 grand I have spent and I have to wonder why they didn't advise me not to do it. Within a few weeks they were all badly scratched. Can you go for a wood look laminate over the boards, we had them in our last house and they were great
  18. Sending you and Fletch huge hugs Bindii :D
  19. What a sad thread MHO is she doesn't have a phobia of dogs but has a mental illness. I just can't see a sane person with a severe phobia of dogs walking the streets where she knows there are dogs, getting close enough to nearly touch them then at the last minute freaking out, as someone who has a phobia stated earlier in this thread the moment they spotted a dog they did everything in their powers to avoid a confrontation. If she has a mental illness, I really doubt anything you do is going to make much difference. I would contact the council and police and see what the have to say. On the other hand you have every right to walk your dog without being intimidated by people wielding metal poles, still I would avoid her at all costs.
  20. Victoria, Yarra Valley, it was during the same heat wave that brought us the Black Saturday bushfires, taken a few days before them I think. Iffykarma, Puck was laying out in 50C+ temps. I can't see the picture due my work blocker but it must be something in the water in the valley. I still shake my head at my Sibe that day. She spent most of it lying on her back on the lawn in the full sun on that day , while I spent the afternoon packing everything up, getting the horses organised just in case, filling up the gutters and downpipes with water and spraying the embers that we had landing everywhere. Every so often I would spray her with the hose and she would look at my with a why did you go and disturb me look on her face Crazy dog
