  1. Thanks tlc. Previous camera was a 400D that stopped working about a month after buying it 2nd hand. Ive just followed your advice and bought a 50mm 1.4 just now as well as that remote shutter you listed. Cheers! Now I just need to find a decent tripod that wont blow over. :) I'm so excited!!
  2. Hi there. I've just purchased a new camera after playing with my second hand one. I'm so looking forward to learning more then just pointing and shooting and aim to get away from the Automatic settings. It's a Canon 60D twin lens kit (EF-S 44-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens & EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens). Today I went and purchased a camera bag (Lowepro Adventura 170) and a pair of 32gb SD cards. Now for my noob questions: Can anyone tell me if there is a setup I can purchase that will allow me to take photos away from the camera to stack puppies? Like a tripod and a remote or something? Is there a particular MUST have lens I should be aiming towards purchasing? Thankyou
  3. Can I use showstopper on a bitch possibly pregnant? if so; at what point of the pregnancy should I stop using it?
  4. Both of those  plus no she is not a husky cross or a koolie. Exactly! :)
  5. No; my Australian Shepherds' bob tails are not docked, they are born that way. No; my Australian Shepherd with blue eyes is not blind. Yes she can see fine.
  6. I bought one, great price! Cheers!
  7. I'll look now thanks. Did you buy from here?
  8. Hi DOLers. Has anyone purchased a microchip scanner and able to give me their opinion on the success rate of them? I'm looking to purchase a reliable scanner that wont cost too much ($200-300?) Thanks :)
  9. Australian Shepherd litter due here September 13th. :) Sire is Keeper - Australian Grand Champion Rozate The Serpents Lair CD Dam is Alice - Australian Champion Mysql Winning Colours (IID USA) Black Tri and Blue Merle puppies expected, natural bob tails possible. Yay!!
  10. One of my aussies likes to cycle every three months do yes it is possible.
  11. What's to say there wasn't an inground fence containment system set up? The dog never left it property on either night. The owner was abiding all laws and you are the one with the reactive, barking dog who harassed her about her own dog on her own property.
  12. All straight out in this household.
  13. I suppose it depends on what you consider top bloodlines, if the breeders considers selling their puppies on the main register, and if they consider you suitable to have those top bloodlines.
  14. I've found that they all feel the same after a couple of washes with fabric softener and a spin through the dryer. The green back slides around on my Kenol whelp box heaps more than the rubber does. Next time I think I'll Velcro it down.
  15. I would not be giving anyone the impression a dog of mine is something to be aware of, especially of the council investigate a complaint against my dog. That's asking for trouble if you ask me.
  16. Who's doing the Adelaide Endurance test this Saturday? There are 16 entries including two of my Australian Shepherds.
  17. I've sent you a PM. Could I please get some too?
  18. My Cavaliers do that but I've never seen a GSD do it! My dogs ALL kick their back legs out behind them when laying down; they are all Australian Shepherds. Ranging from 8months to 4.5 years. Best scored hips in my house is 0:1. Edited as posted inside LizT's quote tags.
  19. Thanks guys! All of the dogs have fantastic recall apart from one who likes to test authority now and again, but has never gone far. None if the dogs know what jumping is either, thankfully. ;) when i get home tonight; I'll get on google satellite and street views and have a look at the two spots mentioned. Thanks!
  20. Is there anyone here interested in doing some photography work for me in October for a couple of hours? I have a litter of 7 Australian Shepherds and their mother (and all their owners) getting together in Adelaide to celebrate the litter's first birthday. I hope to have some nice digital photos to keep (and forward to each dogs' families) with all the dogs together (lined up etc) as well as lots of playful fun ones with tennis balls, kong toys and some doggie (an human) birthday cakes. I have a date planned but as of yet no venue (not an Adelaide resident) so need to find a pretty cool fenced in dog friendly area that's not got too much going on on a Saturday Morning and wouldn't mind being bombarded with eight fluffy Aussies and their human posse. Would also prefer picnic table and some seating as there will be some children present. Please email me at [email protected] for more information and to talk about prices. Thankyou so much lovely DOLers. Bonnie.
  21. Snow Wolf; you're banned from DOL...
