As above, I'm wondering what the likeliness of sucess would be for a maiden bitch to become pregnant via Artificial Insemination? Is it worth sending a maiden bitch interstate and back for an actual mating or can AI be just as possible in reproduction? Which semen would have the most success also, or would it not matter(ie: fresh, chilled or frozen)? Thankyou.

Could the child have mistaken or recognised your dog for a dangerous one. You mentioned he was a rescue..

Now, see I love the tri-colour collies, and the merles. Sable would be my last pick although a darker sable with sparkling white trim is a sight to behold. We are contemplating another pup when we move (if we ever sell this place) so we could be looking at around the same time. Dusty has a bunny tail, Benson has a longer, but still natural bobtail. Next dog will have no tail, cos trying to brush Benson's britches drives me crazy. He has the fuzziest pants ever, they are like velcro cos they attract everything, and he hates me touching his tail so trying to get under it to use the brush can be a real problem. Whereas Dusty is easy, cos there's nothing to move out of the way. All three tailed aussies I know (own 2, look after 1) all hate their tail being touched. I'm going NBT from now on, Jack's is so easy care. :D

For more colours and types.. Video of Cooper's breeder's dogs. Every accepted colour is shown here. the red tri colour has a half tail, the young blue merle without copper has a tull tail and the others have natural bob tails. And this is Millie: She's very lazy when she's inside, totally different in the yard.

Cool, now you have to decide on a colour and a breeder! I can highly recommend black tri's, they are extremely pretty, but then the merles are nice too, and the red tri's are divine. Dusty's breeder has some black tri's right now, they are almost the same mating as Dusters.....same sire (Gr Ch) and the dam is a generation from Dusty's dam. Impresslive looking litter and I can highly recommend the lines, they are LOVELY dogs, sweet temperaments, highly intelligent and very cruisy to live with. Still a while away, so I will take my time, hehe. Colour is hard, is easier with a Collie as I only like Sables and Merles Red Tri would definitely be my first pick, then black tri, then red merle. Definitely not a blue merle as I don't want two dogs of the same colour. It's hard deciding when ready too....there's a lot to consider and it's not like as soon as you're ready you can go get one! I would estimate at least minimum 6 months before I'd begin really looking. Red tris and red merles are harder to come up in litter then the blues and the blacks, but not too hard. Black Tri's are elegant looking, really shiny and glossy. beautiful eye catching dogs.. I have two black tri colours, a red merle and a blue merle who stays here a fair bit. I've just found my best mate an adult blue boy too. Would you like to see some photos of aussies? :D

May we see more photos of mum and her singleton pup? Is it a boy or a girl? If you dont know you can post a belly pic.

The pup looks pure from what i can tell, that will help you home the pup. May i ask a question: When your 12 year old was walking her, was she offleash or not watched for anytime? She could have "gone for a poo" and had pups?

I'm going to suggest Australian Shepherds and Belgian Shepherds to you.

Will he be charged like a normal person? I hope so.

I really like this photo. Like the way things line up too, well spaced. Did you edit out the foreground? Love the effect.

Very! In all their other photos of him, he is relaxed and doesn't look anything near as msucly as there.. Tough looking dog. You'd certainly get attention walking him.. I wonder if it's natural mucle build.
