Is his third eye lid scratched? Get some human grade eye cleanser droppers, the saline ones.. that should be fine for him as it's just saline in a dropper.

The Highway One Caravan Park allowed us to have our dogs in the car/trailer and in crates on the deck around our cabin. it was 85 a night and was really nice. Cabin 27 has the largest wrap around deck with metre high fencing around it tha tyou can block the entrace off easily enough.

Questionnaire To Help Suggest A Breed Or

How much excersice. How much grooming. What age will kids be? inside/outisde? Will it need to be guard dog? how much barking can one take? what about drooling? -
I thought so. Does that mean the breed standards are updated at the Aussie kennel club to reflect the law? How does that work? It means that we are no longer able to dock. atleast aussie shepherds have a natural bob tail gene, and it doesnt affect their conformation. full tailed aussies can still be shown, - but i couldn't really see them being exported with tails. Ok get ya. Understand about them perhaps not beng exported with tails. Docking is done very young isn't it - like 3 or 4 days old? Yep very young. also dewclaws are done then (if they have any)

Tail docking is now illegal in every state and territory of Australia.

No, all breeds meantioned are ones I like LOL. The purpose of the thread is I am interested in the "bettering" of a breed and the cosmetic aspect of standards. I only mentioned the pug again as I couldn't think of another example that might explain what I was meaning. Do we assume I am a troll because I am posting in the wee hours (I just cannot sleep and am having an all round horrid night)? No no no. I'm just trying to understand what you are trying to do? the only cosmetic thing in my breed would be the docked tail. Coat length helps with heat/cold/rain.. Coat colours are genetic Eye colours are not a requirement, blue, brown or hazel doesnt matter. Height restrictions aren't cosmetic.. it's not really even a restriction, just a preference.
-
Is the point of this thread to bash individual breeds? I cant see that going down well.
-
but how much of the standards are cosmetic only? - The Australian Shepherd Standard still calls for a docked tail. And what about breeds who appear to serve no function (not sure about this but maybe a pug - what are they meant to do?)? - I don't follow. Nonsporting breeds are designed to be companions to the best of my knowledge?

I actually really agree with you. There is a merle great dane here in town who is a purebred and she's thin and flimsy for a great dane.. She's build like a dobermann. Growing up; my boyfriend had a fawn great dane Horse; who was just like your friend's harley.

Are you all crazy!!??? Number 1!!! number 1 is beautiful but I know Ashanali would love a show home for her, and i love that sooky look in number 2. But number one is the nicest

Which one do you want? I'll take #2 noooo!!! thats my choice, i've been on your blog. I have been stalking the pointer thread but also the poodle thread. Alas reality has hit us and while we thought we were finally going to be out of the rentals and in out own home in early January, it looks like it'll now be over 18 months away. I'm bummed. puppies in rentals scare me. still dealing with my boy and the damage he does on occassion. so i'll add that i need my own home. Are you all crazy!!??? Number 1!!!

Any proof online anywhere? Any reading, photos, information etc?

I'm fairly certain that rotties have never carried a natural bob tail gene.
-
I didn't think the rottie has a natural bob tail gene?

the timtam packet on TV that really never ends. A blue merle aussie girl. A red merle aussie girl. An old school bus decked out like an awesome house. a blank cheque book that pays out of anyone elses account but mine

My Aussies are the only purebreds on my street. They're also the largest dogs on my street.

I think this has a lot to do with whether you should consider a newbie breeder. Note: Newbie, not Noob. -

Awww, thanks Wuffles! Ava was from our very first Aussie Shepherd litter, and we were lucky enough to have extremely good mentors in the breed who gave us the benefit of their knowledge and experience in breeding, assessing and placing our puppies. We do all have to start somewhere, but I think it is important to do the very best you can by your dogs and by your puppy buyers by having mentors in your chosen breeds, health testing the parents of your planned litters and generally being responsible, upfront and ethical in all aspects of breeding. +1 -
I really recommend a bell.. And you can set the bell up on a stand type thing rather then hanging form the roof or shelf. That way the stnad would only have to be small and the bell at her "handshake" height. You could take it with you then.

Hahhaha. Reminds me of Modern Family on TV. The little boy gets sprayed in the face for saying the girl can get changed in his room
