  1. I'm happy to make some signatures if people need more hands. My own is an example. Please PM me though, as I am not confident in my ability to remember check this thread.
  2. Excuse my ignorance, please, but what do you mean exactly by they should have culled? I'm not stirring, genuinely interested if it means what I think it does Destroyed. There are lots of mixed bred dogs in shelters and pounds already.
  3. +1. This is pretty much my thought.
  4. I just checked her profile. It says she is a breeder. That's a darn shame.
  5. so ethical breeders sell their oops litters at that price at 6 weeks do they? And advertise them as working dogs? You didn't answer my question. As I said already; it is unfortunate that the litter is on the ground and is now being sold underage. Perhaps she intended for it to be a purebred mating, but the sable dog got in there instead/aswell? I also have no idea if Kristina is a registered breeder or not, atleast she has been upfront and honest about the litter. If she is a registered breeder, she should know better then selling them at six weeks, also the "prices start" comment. If she's not a registered breeder, she's done nothing legally wrong.

  7. name sound familiar? And selling them off to go at 6 weeks .. care to explain Kristina or you branching out into quick dollars now? Wonder what the dutchies breeder thinks of his bitch used as a bybers dog. That's unfortunate. Perhaps you should tell the breeder of the dutch if you know what's happened and know facts You might want to read the rules of the forum and freshen up on it. If you are hoping Kristina will read this, she's not active often. Although I don't think it's her attention you're looking for.
  8. Really?? That is bizaar... Do you know the breeders reasoning for taking that sort of risk? I don't know the reason sorry. I know that I can't think of any good reason. The most recent one I can think of was last year. I think if it's justified and a carefully planned, purposely bred litter in good hands then it might be fine. It's just that there are risks, double merle etc.
  9. That's all and fine until you have a dog that sits in the "beep" zone to flatten the battery then still gets out. Don't laugh, I had it. I had the retailers of the k9 collar come out and see for themselves they did not believe me. My girl has done that.. it took her a long time.. like.. weeks?
  10. Breeders of Australian Shepherds are breeding Merle to Merle litters. please learn all you can before deciding. Pop over and ask a hundred questions in the aussie thread if you like. You'll get all the information you could ever want.
  11. I can hear barking dogs too. But that's not uncommon for 11.30 on a friday night
  12. Can I ask, is she a blue or red merle? I can usually tell the difference but in some instances like yours, I admit I can't tell and in one photo I think I can tell, then the next photo contradicts what I thought Her nose pigment is red So that means red merle? Sorry Bonnie, I don't go reading up on the genetics of Aussies, I merely peek into the Aussie thread to perve on the pictures posted, so I am still only in the interested and learning phase. you are spot on. I didn't intend for that to be rude, I just wanted you to see a hint on how to tell. Red noses should mean red tri or red merle, whereas black noses will mean black tri or blue merle. When I was unsure of colours (due to some blues looking burnt or reds being very diluted to look almost grey) the noses really helped me.

  14. An ANKC registered pure bred dog. Australian Shepherds are all of those things.. And ANKC registered as an actual breed, not one in the works that isn't recognised.
  15. Hi sway. Your ANKC Rulings link doesnt work on the home page. Just a heads up.
  16. What was he shot with?
  17. Only one of mine wears a collar. That's her radio fence one, which contains her. In the yard = no collars. out of yard = collars and watchful eye.
  18. My aussie shepherds LOVE to be allowed to sleep outside at night. But i lock them in the house and convince them to sleep with me <3
  19. I have a radio collar electric fence. my bitch can't get within 1.5metres of the wire or her collar will beep it's warning. 50cms closer and she'll be shocked. Which means she can't jump our 6 foot fences anymore She's the one in my signature. :p
  20. This thread has been around now for quite a long time, has the OP come to a decison yet? I have three Australian Shepherds. I adore them, but i know they are not for everyone. Please go and meet a handful of dogs from each breed before deciding.
  21. This is something I would love to do if i have a wedding, but knowing my family, there would be grubby ink marks and finger smudges all over it. Sigh. What a beautiful keep sake.
