I see alot of people listing Australian Shepherds. <3 Stuff stuff, they are my heart breed. x

Actually; If she's already paid for the pup as a main register, and THEN was told about the breeding and papers being held back, the breeder is in the wrong. The buyer can go to fair trading, as it is not what she paid for.
-
And if the breeder's decide o legally co-own; get in writing and signed exactly what age the dog will be bred at (or by), how many litters, what constitutes a litter (one or more live pups at birth, at eight weeks) etc. Will the dog need to be desexed after this or will the buyer have full rights to the dog outright on the main register, including all health testing paperwork? If she's going to go down the breeding rights track, make sure she thinks of every single question she can, and gets all the answers in writing, and fair. Also, should the contract become void or breached, who will have legal right to the dog and papers?

I know that my Aussies are dog snobs, unless the dogs are working breed. But they LOVE other aussies.

If something terrible and very serious were to happen to me; Millie would go back to her breeder as she is co-owned. Jack would go to one of my best mates, who steals Jack away for camping trips etc. Alice would go back to her breeder if she wanted her, otherwise maybe Milile's breeder would like her. The cat is passed her date anyway, so would be pts. ETA: Any pups I breed; should their owners become disabled, ill or pass away, I would hope to be offered the dog back.

Offtopic; what was nose printing?

Hmm. Who paid for it's health testing?
-
It depends on the agreement. many pups are sold on teh condition that they return for a litter. Who is paying for the dog? was the dog reduced in price, what about paying for health checks? If it's the breeder forking out for the health tests, and they gave you the pup, then I don't think they should have to pay the buyer. But if the health testing was by the buyer, and the buyer paid full price, the breeder should Lease the dog and pay for it.

Agree with Stormie +1. Anything else is cruel, unethical and inhumane.

x2 x3 x 5 (coz MM is x 4) thank you Danielle for caring about this dog X6 and I can bet we're not the only ones thinking about how good a person you are to do your best and try, even if your friend turned around and did that behind your back. -
Millie's microchip sits high up on her leg, so maybe it was just well hidden.

There's a flyer frequently added to the community board at Woolworths here, "MOJO wants some MOJO" - labradoore retreiver wants to mate with labs, goldies or shepards." - God it's putrid.

Members; please ADD your names to the list, otherwise little tiny posts like these get lost. You simply hit reply to the last post, take away the quote tags and add in your name wherever it fits alphabetically. It isn't annoying or time consuming.. Picking out little posts like however is both.

Our stove caught fire once, the boyfriend put the bin ontop of the stove as he left the dogs inside and went out to training. I came home from work 30mins later and the bin's bottom had melted, and the rubbish had started to catch fire. Talk about lucky

If this pup is really as terrified, agressive and bad as it is sounding out to be, I think it should be put down. An agressive pup is one thing, an agressive pup quickly grows into an agressive dog if not properly managed. 5months old and not been socialised, biting people and growling like that; doesn't look good. -
Sorry, it was a heat pad. I was going off memory. eta:

In the breeder's community; in one the litters thread, one of the breeder's heated beds caught fire in the middle of the night. I'm not sure I'd trust a heated bed now. Scary!

In my breed; dogs desexed early just look leggier then the dogs left entire while growing. That's the ONLY difference I see. I just wanted to Edit to Add that most pet owners don't even notice it.

I am yet to breed my own litter, but the books i have read all say the same kinds of things. Stomach tightness, growing breasts, loosing fur around that area, bitchiness and hormones. Four weeks is when you should start seeing the difference and the weight gain, that's also when you should be able to succesfully ultrasound. Bonnie.

I am yet to breed a litter, and I don't know if I'm going to charge a different price for Main or Limit, but if i do it wont be much difference as there will be a desex rebate always and all pups will come with papers. They have to - it's against ANKC rules.

There's a breeder here in SA in my breed who sells her pups for $1100 without papers and $1500 with papers. She has never titled or worked her dogs in any avenue yet charges such a huge amount. Crazy. ETA: Limit OR Main Register.

Live rabbits get rounded up here, then cuaght and skinned and fed to the dogs.
