Is This Anything I Should Be Worried About?
Parkeyre replied to Michelleva's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Could the dog have startled her? -
Oh my goodness!! Bless their cotton socks! Fourteen gorgeous Maremma puppies, you must be beside yourself. Congratulations from everyone here at Parkeyre.

If you're going to post something breed specific, be accurate... From the standard: My apologies.

Australian Shepherds are genereally born with pink noses; the pigment fills in and the stardard requires it to be 90% fill I think. that's a blanket rule for all four colours, a foster pup I had here was born with an entirely black nose at birth.

How Did You Find/choose Your Dogs Breeder?
Parkeyre replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
There is only one size. Clover's Breeder now breeds Mini Australian Shepherds. Not AKC ANKC or ASCA registerable, but yet she wants to breed them. -
I actually just cackled!!!

If that is your budget; you are more realistically only able to afford mature rehomes, or older pet puppies..

God they are SO cute!

just a heads up; all dogs advertised on DOL must be desexed. ETA: On the dol forums.. -
KepieHoundMum. Completly offtopic; but when your turf is laid and you have the dogs back on it; would you mind PMing me what the total cost was; what work you needed done, if they did it, how many metres you got done, how long it took, how happy you are with it etc? You're not far from me, and I'm considering getting fake turf instead or real turf; so would love to hear how you went. If you dont mind.

Can do, I know a dog here with three chips.. All current and correct details though. Just want to add: I'm almost certain that SA is now the only state that does not require microchipping before disposal of a dog, whether that is selling or giving away. WA has recently become a state requiring microchipping following others.. To the best of my knowledge; only SA is left. As far as I know that has not come into effect as yet. I know it is in the pipeline, but not legislation at this stage. WA is still in the pipelines, or SA is now in the pipelines? WA is in the pipeline as far as I am aware Thanks for that. I wonder if anyone knows exactly what states require microchiping + 1st vaccination Currently.. Hm.. might go see what I can google.

Pets Paradise Advertising For Puppies
Parkeyre replied to jacqui835's topic in General Dog Discussion
I take down any signage I see for petshops and farmers. If i can't take it down; I'm tempted to enlighten others on just where the pups come from, or what type of health issue awaits them. -
Chips can move at anytime on any breed. They can also fall back out of their insert hole if that area is patted too much immediatley.

I would make a new poster saying something along the lines of "PETSHOP PUPPIES = Quantity before quality" or something and slap it over top of it. -
My Aussie Millie did what you described about 1 minute ago. I said; go to bed and wait, and she grumbled and jumped on her bed. She wants to go out for a wee but I need to find my dressing gown first. :D Generally she will whine at the door or ring her bell at the door. All our dogs know the bell = outside. Haha! One of my dogs is actually asleep ON my dressing gown which is on my bed... there's no blankets to keep her warm because I have them all wrapped around me. It's so cold tonight. Maybe I should go to bed... I don't know why I'm up this late lurking around the forums. tell me about it. I have a 10 apointment with the motorbike shop and the bf has to get up for work at 5am... here I am at 3 am bored out of my mind pllaying facebook games and lurking DOL.

+1. I would be very basic in a reply, and give them your contact number to call you.

Did you end up recieving a reply that made it more legit or more likely to be a scam? Just interested as I would have taken it as a scam and replied with only teh very basic and a contact phone number.
