Had to put in my brag. Today we had our agility trial and it was wet and cold. Fortunately every time I had to run it didnt rain so was lucky I didnt drown. Gabby had 8 runs and got 7 qualies. 4 first places and three seconds. What a good girlie considering that mums handling was pretty crap though so was very surprised that we had got 7 quallies lol

Just had a tad problem with the computer so couldnt put my brag in but anyway we had our rally trial and after finally pulling my finger out since the last trial was in October Gabby got her RN title with a first with a score of 100 and I put in Inka who was so happy to be working with a score of 98 so hopefully it wont be as long between drinks lol

Risks Of Leaving Dog Coat On All Day?
xena98 replied to MadWoofter's topic in General Dog Discussion
I saw these ones being sold at the Agility Nationals, they looked great! Didn't get one though because my dog is skinny for her length coats like this are usually usually too baggy, but I wonder if they will make me a skinnier version... I bought one of those when I was at the Nationals with Gabby. Poor Gabby absolutely froze there and she absolutely loves her coat lol -
Obedience Proofing Games And Fun Exercises
xena98 replied to leopuppy04's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
that means the dog will never be returned -
the worst thing I find that you go through all the hard work get to the last exercise and you did the muti and you think yep got it and the dog goes into the complete opposite direction for the last one. but when you fail yep dog can do it. No wonder why my hair is going grey

Bloody UDX Scent work is all sorted out well for the moment now we cant do heelwork in motion at all. Doesnt matter that we have been doing that brilliantly for the last 2 years with scores around 37 up now its like never done it before. Doh. We had three trials a couple of weeks ago. First one couldnt do a sit second trial oh we did remember but that couldnt find the cones (they obviously didnt stand out very much at all ) third trial nope couldnt do the sit again. We had two trials this week and yep couldnt do the Hip again but this time we couldnt do the stand at all. It;s not like they even sound the same as sit=exit stand=stand This is sooooo frustrating but we did pass in ud with 192 first and 193 open in second place.

Another Joint Supplement: Rose-hip Vital Canine
xena98 replied to ness's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
get your dog to walk to the shop to buy it & she may lose some weight, then you wont have to give so much :) Losing some weight would have to be better for her joints too, I would imagine. In the summer, someone commended my dog and said she was the thinnest Labrador they have ever seen. I was happy with the praise, and then I decided to add an inch more to her food and whamm! it was out of control again. She gets fat quickily & easily! You're right. The thinner it's the less problem they get on her legs. She's on a diet now (again). Just because she is the thinnest lab that person has ever seen doesn't mean very much. People seem to think that they should be fat, because that is what the breed is FWIW, this is how I believe a Lab should look. Lean, muscular, athletic, and minimal stress on joints. I dont think I have ever seen a lab that skinny before. The lab looks great -

Hey at least you only have 1 to go so the end is near. I have another 4 to go. She let me get my hopes up the other week by passing but than she decided to add a few subs so ended up in the 170's and now she decided that she cant sit arghhhhhhh
-
congratulations Ptolomy and the little champ and also Ian on his Grand Champion. I can only dream about getting it We just had a three trial this weekend the only good news was that we done three seekbacks yipee  and in one of the trials we even done the towels lol but we have now decided what the heck is a sit command for the heelwork in motion. The one where we did the towels we couldnt find the cones arghhhh so more grey hair

Thought I would put in my little brag lol. Today at the dancing with dog competition Young Gabby managed another pass in freestyle starters and won the class. This gave her title. What a good girlie but I think she might need a new dancing partner though -
that was good RS shows lots of enthusiasm. Loved the visit to the man though lol. Awesome weavers as well

Might be the first time I have missed a nationals. Been to everyone so far
-
I know of a friend and she had left her collar on and it got caught broke its neck
-
Hi Tassie Yep well we were competing at an "obedience trial" lol and open and ud were still going so Gabby thought we were in another obedience class. The look on her face was so funny the second trial though nothing was on except rally and do you think I could get her focussed on me nope so I was too busy trying to get her focussed. I'm not good at reading signs and working dog and talking dog all at the same time
-
I threw Gabby in a Rally trial at the end of last year to sort out Gabby in the ring cause she started this sometimes I will stand for the retrieve on the flat and sometimes I will sit cause you cant say nothing so I just put her in rally with no training at all. I just had to look at the signs and had someone to tell what was what lol First one she got `100 she was very surprised that I could speak in the ring lol. The next one she decided it wasnt a trial and wasnt as focused but mom stuffed it up couldnt read a sign properly and we got an 86 lol Havent got back to another one since lol
-
well we had done obedience trail yesterday Gabby won both ud and open but unfortunately she failed the sit in the change of position in udx arghhh. Today we had an agility trial and Gabby won in the morning ado jdo adm jdm and the afternoon won ado and second in jdm. So that was two hard weeends what a good girlie Gabby is
