Hey Ness Congratulations on being 2010 Runner Up Novice State Champion. Was a lovely run. Well done on all your hard work

What a weekend I had. We had our State agility Championship over the weekend. It was cold and raining and windy not perfect conditions for a competition. We had 2 trials on the saturday and 1 on sunday. They were the qualifying rounds. All you had to do was qualify in open and master agility and jumping to get in. I had Gabby and Inka doing the 4 classes so over the 3 trials had 12 runs each and my nearly 12 year old doing open jumping. Gabby qualified in all 4 classes Inka in 3 classes and Xena in her one class. Gabby was so good on the saturday afternoon she won all of her classes and on the sunday morning she won all of her classes again except one that I stuffed up oops. Xena passed all her three and Inka was naughty on the saturday but managed to qualify. Inka got third in JDO got disqualified in JDM and knocked a bar in ADM. Xena knocked two bars first time in like a year lol but the best news is ............ At a tender age of 35 months young Gabby (Gabrielle ADM JDM ADO JDO GDX SD) is the 2010 Agility Master State Champion. 2010 Jumping Master State Champion. 2010 Open Agility State Champion. 2010 Runner Up Open Jumping Champion I am so proud of her.We are working our way through our Agility Champion title. Thanks Renae for breeding this brilliant dog

Hi guys We done a mock trial on the sunday and I put my little Gabby in UDX. Its the second time putting everything together and I havent been doing lots as I have been still concentrating on the ud. Only need one more leg for her OC. Anyway I was so proud of her she only did a couple of mistakes one in her heelwork in motion missed the drop I dont think she heard me as the second time I was louder and only stuffed up no 2 in the multi retrieve as she went straight to it that fast that it flicked out of her mouth and there was no way she was going to pick it up but she did 1 and 3 beautiful and in a straight line. I had this as a problem for at least 12 months or more so I was so rapped. The judge also said to put her in the ring as she knew all her exercises but I think I might still wait though lol. I'm so proud of her

Well done Kallistar. They say once you get the first one the rest comes easy lol. Good luck for the next 2.

Believe me - Sit stays become and even bigger problem when you combine them with UD stays at the same trial and it always works out that you do UD stays first I actually think it is easier for a dog to do sit stays when there are things going on around them - it keeps them occupied - I find my kids are more inclined to drop when nothing is happening. Not sure what other think. If my kids drop during a sit stay at a trial - I will ask to be excused from the down stay. I used to take them out of the ring and ask them for another sit stay - BUT of course they would sit there and not move and then I would reward them. But what message was this giving them - hmm that it was OK to fail the first one because I will give you another go. So now if they fail they get put back in the car with no reward and I go and beat my head against the nearest brick wall :D At training we tend to mix up the stays - sometimes doing a down first and then a sit, or doing a stand stay inbetween the sit and the down. Have to be honest and say we very rarely time any of our training stays. As you can see from the brags thread - sit stays have been an issue for me - so please disregard all of the above LOL Ptolomy might have to disagree on that lol Saturday Inka had turned herself around to lay down and make herself comfy to watch the soccer game arghhhhh yes darn those sit stays I think they shouldnt have them in. Both of my girls Gabby and Inka lay down in sit stay on both days and the only one that can do it and never practice is good old Xena

lol At least you had only 10 sec to go I had both of my dogs go down 1min and 30 sec and one couldnt even be bothered waiting for me to get out of the ring before laying down arghhhhhhh. Have to rely on my 11.5 year old she can still stay sitting lol Ps wont even bother mentioning the ud (losing only 3 points up to signals and than not leaving the start peg)

Congratulation on everyone's passes. I am so proud of young Gabby she got a 2nd in open agility. Lovely prizes. It was great meeting everyone. The trial was run great even though Iam buggered. The judges, stewards and all of the workers who organized everything to make sure everything ran smoothly did a brilliant job. Now for the long trip home

Good luck to everyone tomorrow

Congratulations Amypie and Kyzer and everybody else who has passed. Well we managed a few nice passes in open jumping and open agility and Gabby passed master jumping. Forget master agility though. I got into another couple of finals Gabby in master jumping and Inka open jumping so I am lucky to be in 5 classes. I am so happy with young Gabby for only having trialled in agility since June long weekend last year she has done so well. I am very proud of her. Inka also got best overall border collie and best veteran (that's a bit sad lol)

Yep Inka I think she deserves to be in the "one bar fredie club"

Thanks I was so worried about the teams event the way they were working I was so nervous (very unusual for me lol) I thought I might stuff them up I was so proud of them hopefully tomorrow we will do well again lol -
Yipee I got a brag. After my yucky runs and some good runs Gabby got into JDO and ADO finals and Inka got into ADO finals as well. She was suppose to be in the ADM finals with her fifth place but was booted to sixth when they made a booboo. They both worked brilliantly in the team event as well. Gabby clear and Inka one fault. Congratulations to who passed today and Rivsky. River definitely loves WA lol and Ptolomy's crew

Amypie are you talking about a young guy. He's SA just started doing agility with him I think it's his second trial. Dippy is the dogs name. I missed the Saint though. Got told he was brilliant though -

after having not much sleep like 3 hours i am surprised i could remember the courses. Gabby passed both jumping courses but scratched her from agility cause of her paw and Inka managed 1 in JDO. Very surprised as none of us got any sleep. Resting up now for a big week
