Hey Ptolomy what do you do when your dog refuses to do hand touches when you do SD but does it every where else
-
forgot to add that Gabby is my third dog to have an OC and AG Ch title. One proud mama
-
Congratulations on everyone's passes and especially Ptolomy and Soggy Bear on there 200 Why 2 200 Well I have a big brag. I have just got back from Mount Gambier after a weekend of agility and trialling. My girls were so good Gabby got 8 qualies out of 12 runs over the weekend all with first places and Inka got 7 qualies out of 12 over the weekend with 5 seconds (couldnt beat her sister) and 2 first places but the best news was at a tender age of 3.5 years of age Gabby got her Agiltiy Champion title on Saturday morning with a first place in master agiltiy. I am so proud of my little girl.

Normally fine gets 28-30 for heelwork and jumps around as a loony bin before the heeling and after the heeling. Her tail is wagging and she is prancing along. Thats the funny bit I just cant get her doing hand touches jumping around nothing its just like she is serious but in training she is a lunatic and she flys out there isnt a thing wrong runs quickly back. Saturday night she wasnt happy in the heelwork but that was the first time she had done that. I dont have an obedience trial for awhile now its all agility at the moment.

keep them coming I appreciate some of the comments
-
Nope dont do the mat for a few reason when I start training I do and that is cause its my own and than transfer to the grass. First reason I dont like the mat the metal keeps on rolling everywhere and goes together and some of the trialing mats I have seen used had been moldy and smelly so I havent used them for years
-
Maybe dont know she doesnt worry on her SB though
-
we have the sendaways she loves those and she jumps around for joy. So the seekback she jumps around like a mad thing sendaways and silent signals just the articles. In training she goes absolutely crazy. Just in a trial we worry dont know why though
-
well done RubyStar. Gotta be proud of your girls

I have a question for all of you gurus out there. Gabby does her articles brilliantly in training will fly out for her articles but is worried in a trial situation. She doesnt seem to do it very quick at all and I do find I cant get her engaging to me usually she does hand touches and jumps all over me and does playful noises but soon we are in the trial she just loses it. For example saturday night she flew out and got the correct one came towards me and than put it down checked out the others came back to the correct one and than walked in. Second one still like that picked up the correct one put it down and than picked it up and the third one happy. Other times quite happy. I know it's a confident thing in the ring and is unsure but it sure is a hard one to fix when its only in the ring. Has anybody got any ideas.

Congratulations to everyone on there passes over the weekend. Congratulations also to DSO on your title and first place. Had a sort of successful day. Morning wasnt too good got a first place in ADM with Gabby and 1st place with Inka in ADO. Afternoon was a bit better Gabby got a 1st in ADO and JDO couldnt pass master courses today though ;) Inka had a better arvo with a 1st in ADM and 2nd in both ADO and JDO

Well done on everyones qualies in both obedience and agility :D We had our obedience trial tonight. Young Gabby has totally forgotten about ud she didnt even know how to do a drop in the signals she actually missed it twice :D but she did make it up in the open winning the class with 194 she even got 30 out of 30 for the heelwork But the biggest brag Inka got a first place in open she actually done both the sit and drop stay she got a first place as well with 193 I was just amazed that she did all of her stays cause now that she can do sits she has been blowing the drop
-
Yah about time you got on here. Congratulations and first place to boot
-
HI LUv Lottie wrote in the Aussie Thread lol but anyway congratulations again. Yes well everytime I went in with Gabby and poured so this morning was not much fun at all and than this evening (dint finish till 6.30) was absolutely freezing. Last 2 classes I think I had brain freeze with being tired and so were the girls. Hopefully next weekend we'll have sunny weather at least warm
-
Well I had to put in this brag. We had a double agility trial and Inka managed 4 first places this morning. Poor little Gabby had problems passing in anything except for 1 class that was because it wasnt raining. We failed 3 classes cause of the rain. It obviously melts Gabby's little brain cells when she gets wet Afternoon we did fair better and Gabby got 3 first places and Inka got a 2nd and a 3rd. They just worked like a treat havent had that kind of results for awhile
-
ok than shall I book a flight for 2010
-
Congratulations to you RubyStar on your CDX pass with Milli bad luck with Ruby and her stays yep know all about that one one annoying black and white has worked out sit stays and now cant do a drop stay ;). ) TSD well done on your 2nd place in ADX darn weavers Well done Leopuppy on your ADM pass. Now that you got it they will come thick and fast. Usually bring cakes for titles. Cost me an arm and a leg when you are at 4 clubs though ;)
-
Congratulations Ptolomy Hey you got to tell me how you did it cause my black and white has no clue where the middle is she thinks all you have to do is mark the cone and than sit next to it
-
Well at least the midget showed you what she can achieve in the ring even with the sore shoulder. Once she has rested she will be firing on all cylinders. Go the little Midget. Ness enjoy you retirement
-
Well we are back from our 2nd day of obedience competition and after yesterday 100% success I knew today would be terrible as I can only have 50% Inka worked well with 194 points. We did the sit stays but when it came to the drop we went to follow stood there for awhile than sat down than she lay down arghhh so that went her chances of being state champion than it got worse in the ud we couldnt find a box and got half way and sat down :D . Gabby couldnt do ud when your so busy looking for your friend and knowing you cant knick off to her so only half a brain in that department dropped an article and didnt pick it up.(might add the rest of the work was ummmm lets say not great) In open she worked brilliantly except got a sub in the retrieve as she went and found a smell next to the dumbell. at least she remembered to pick it up so lost 6 points. Came out with 191 and first place. Overall Gabby is the 2011 State Obedience Champion in open and also won the Highest Club Team Trophy. Well done Rivsky and Zuma commiseration Ness and Kenzie
-
Thanks TSD I'm just so pleased with Inka cause she has stuffed up so many sit stays she was even on a 200 and yep lay down on that one as well. (dont think that will happen again though)
-
Ness whats happening with the shoulder. more rest or what. Sure would be frustrating for her not having her normal exercise and training. Hard to keep an active dog quiet
-
You did pretty good Ness considering that you never thought you would get her into the ring without freaking. Pity about the shoulder thing doesnt help with the stays though. Might have to pick me of the ground tomorrow if I can get another 2 more passes in open with those sit stays
-
Well today is the first of 2 days of our State Obedience Championship and interclub challenge. What a day got 4 out of 4 and my black and white managed to do her sit stay and a drop stay :p Gabby was in open and was so proud of her considering there was a soft ball game happening and kids were screaming that half a brain was with me and she came out the ring with a 195 and first place and she managed to do a sit stay in the hot weather after coming out of the ud ring and straight into sit stays Well she did pass her ud with a 2nd place but we got a score of 177 and the brain was definitely not with me. We knicked of to say hello twice couldnt keep the articles in the mouth twice she even managed to fling one of her articles away from her and a missed drop ohhh forgot to add in the run around in the next ring doing a seek back cant believe she did that (naughty girl ;) ) Black and white Inka well dont know what happened in ud but the brain wasnt quite all there I think she forgot to bring fast pace into the ring considering I havent done any training with Inka since October last year we got 183 and a third. Would have got a 2nd but lost in a countback. Got into open and boy I think she run home to get the fast pace. She was brilliant came out with 195 and we did our sit stay in the hot sun and we also did out 5 min drop stay ( not like another trial where we did a 5 min sit stay ) That's 2 out of 2 Tomorrow is round 2 so will be interesting if I have dogs on fire or I have dogs that are too tired to work
