Congratulations to all the other qualies over the weekend

Havent been on the computer all weekend as been to Whyalla competing didnt do too bad having 30 runs over 2 days with 2 dogs got 16 qualies with some lovely runs with both dogs and boy some horriable runs as well. Gabby was in her first snooker master game and qualied and got a first and Inka was in the same game and came second. Inka got 3 1st 5 2nd and 1 3rd and young Gabby got 7 1st places. Huge congratulations Ptolomy and Bedazzledx2 on your udx passes Wow how's the head. Glad you have got things sorted. Gabby will be in this weekend and we still cant do the seekback and now the towels are broked hopefully only with one person scent

At least he tells you where it is lol not like Gabby who goes yep here it is but I think I shall take the decoy how's this mum do you like huh huh arghhhhh

Yep I know all about that blasted position in motion. You fix up one and than something else breaks just unbelievable. I do find that the wood does hold the scent better plus the leather would hold it as well but at least its a bit different from the normal seekback. Gabby is really good now on the multiretrieve I just keep my hand down and say fetch and that does the trick cause my dogs are too keen and any movement and ther're gone also find that I cant keep them sitting there long at all and wait for focus or anything like that cause that is when they stuff up. I usually turn once the dog has sat judge says send I just send her and she normally gets the right one (its also a prayer when I send her as well)When is your next udx trial

That's a bugger Kallistar. Always just one thing in that class Today we did everything but now cant do towels. Now this is interesting last Sunday she was just naughty all weekend that also included the agility trial. I had used Graham and that is Gabby's love of her life she absolutely adores him and will even leave the ring for him. Wouldnt go anywhere near his towel (I used him as my scented towel) Friday went out and trained with a couple of friends no problem today at club I used Graham again same thing wouldnt go near it (might add wont be using him again but he was the only one available at the moment everyone else was busy)so shall try again another day Yep had problems with it and umm its fixed again dont know how or why.Xena I had used leather when I first started as it holds alot of scent and didnt have a problem till a couple of years later and than we went through the I'm not touching yours I'm going to get the decoy I had experimented with the wood and the metal and found the metal worked with her. So I thought with Gabby I will do metal. well that only lasted for awhile and she did the same thing (I did write it in here if anybody else had that problem that the dog wont touch yours but determined to bring decoy it's like yours is poison)No one could answer that one so I went to wood and that seemed to fix it but than we have just been through it again and I decided that nope I am not going to change I'm just going to ride it through and she is back doing it again for how long I dont know. I even went back to putting the food on mind which worked before I went to the trial and after the trial thought ok put food on mind and she said yep thanks for the tidbit and than went onto the decoy. So frustrating. Following training she just did it again.

Congratulations to DSO and Jess on your win and title (kept that quiet) I was very busy in that trial had 6 runs with each dog. At least Gabby's brain was here today only did a jump off see saw and didnt do her entry to the weavers but apart from that she won JDM twice and won ADO twice with some terrific runs. Inka was a good girl too appart from a couple of wrong jumps and a naughty jump off the see saw Inka got a second in JDM a first in ADM and a first in JDO very good girls. Next weekend we are off to Whyalla for a weekend of agility trialling

arghhhh this udx is so frustrating. Went out and trained and as you know her seekback is absolutely hopeless like we have never done it before and she only wants to pick up decoy which has been happening for awhile and we put the food on the correct one and she said thanks very much for the food but I am going off for the decoy well today she was doing like she has been doing it all her and wouldnt even look at the decoy and picked up the correct one each time. Inka has finally made progress and has worked out the differance and can pick up the correct one without picking the decoy and using it as her dummy till she found the correct one but now the sendaway has no idea what that is and that is one exercise she can do. PIM I do silent signals and verbals for the position and the towels I dont give alot of scent as soon as she turns her head that is it

Unfortunately hate red wine so I might just have to go onto the vodka a nice cold cruiser mmmmm. Well the funny thing about her towels today Friend Duncan put the towels down and his son Graham that Gabby just loves and things he's brilliant and nearly stuffed her multi retrieve on the sunday at the trial cause he was walking away. Knicking off for cuddles etc well it was his scent and she wouldnt go anywhere near it but when we finished was in his lap

Well this UDX thing is so frustrating!!!! Well I have been having trouble with this seekback with decoy on and off had it with my other coolie but the kelpie never had a problem. They would be doing it absolutely brilliant and than all of a sudden its nope dont want anything to do with yours I'll have the decoy and there is nothing that you can do to change their mind but ride it out. I had been on wood went to metal and now I'm back to wood well we have had problems and last week we thought we had it licked ha well we put food on my article (bit of a reward getting the right one) well we thought we had it fixed did it all last week got a pass in the trial with the seekback and today we did the training and she said thank you very much ate the food and went off and got the decoy back to the drawing boad Did the border which she is still learning so we thought we would put the food on my article(she not bright lol she picks the incorrect one knows its not the right one but walks around till she finds the other one spits it out and picks up the correct one) so that was why we thought we would put food on the correct one so she wouldnt pick up the decoy well she was very upset that food was on her article you dont have food on articles at all that she picked it up and shock her article so the food went off and bought me the article Back to the drawing board and too top it off Gabby couldnt even do her towel which is the only exercise not to have problems well we couldnt even find it wouldnt go even near it knew I should have stayed home in bed

Hehehe you obviously didnt see her runs and it was very embarrassing after I got that trophy for her Agility Champion and I couldnt even get her around a course hopefully she will be better on Saturday. Are you going to the trial on saturday?

Hi my friends Dallie had that on his ear and she had been to the vet did the diet thing spent an arm and leg and she sort of found out by accident. Her dogs are fed raw but she ended up in hospital (quite awhile) and hubby didnt have time to do raw feed so he just got the cheap dog biscuits I think it was pedigree bikkies it had fixed it up they didnt notice it at the time but when it happened again they had been talking about it and realized that he didnt get it (apparantly once a year around the same time)so around august september he get his hungry jacks (cheap food) I did give her some advance and they dont work just the cheapy food dont know if that helped or not but this is what happened with her dog and they have kept it under control for 6 years and he hasnt had an attack cause the first sign it would be HJ for awhile

Congratulations DSO. Little Gabby was definitely having an off day couldnt tell between scrambles tunnels entries but Inka done well getting a first in jdm,jdo,ado and a second in adm Gabby only managed one pass but hey it was a first

What do you do when she takes out the bar in competition and what happens when you finish running a course with a bar down and what do you do when you get a clean run?

Are you talking about the towels. Got a towel and cut it up and rolled up with coloured rubber bands one lot is thicker than the other. How do you clean your towels?

I went with wood and than she went off and wouldnt touch mine so changed to metal which was fine for awhile and than she went off than went back to wood and was fine for awhile and than we had problems with that and I refuse to change over so we are working through with it which was why I was so excited when she did it wait till the next trial arghhh

I'm here I'm here! Today Jess got her second open pass with a score of 191!! And 1st place!! Very very pleased with her :D Yeah about time I was going to let it out of the bag but I tried to hold it all in Congratulations on your score considering the weather conditions as lots of dogs didnt like the wind

lol yep I know exactly how Bedazzledx2 feels except I did find the end of the tunnel with one dog and than was stupid enough to do it again I had just forgotten how frustrating it is

yes I am waiting for DSO. The weather was absolutely horriable at least it didnt rain until the end of the presentation. I thought she had done really well for her second attempt considering that yesterday we were still not getting my seekback and we were still not sitting when told to sit. Dont know when our next trial will be as some agility trials will be on. I am waiting to see what can get stuffed up. I also thought she was very good on her last multi retriev went to do no 3 told her to back which she alway does nope to busy looking at uncle Graham that she didnt even turn so I didnt think she would do it buy yep from that angle went off and got it no worries lol

Hi Guys Had to put in my brag well it was a fail but too me and other udx triallers would understand lol. Gabby nearly passed but for a towel. It was that windy I am suprised that she could even smell anything but she did her seekback considering that she doesnt like my article but ud its fine (must be a coolie thing Xena had done the same thing) did her sit and stand in the heelwork in motion which was what I had problems with. But we are still stuck in ud cause of that first article she thinks is going to kill her so her new trick is too jump the jump on the second sendaway arghhhhhh. Never ending with them and open she passed with 192 and second if though we were competing with those swallows that were flying low to the ground and stirring her up lol. Inka was so enthusiastic in open that we gallopped around everywhere and the brains dropped out and she anticipated the retrieve over the hurdle but managed a pass in ud with 182 and a sub cause we forgot to sit in a halt but I am so proud of Gabby as this was her second attempt cheers Danni

Hi Guys Congratulations on everyone's passes sounds like a successful weekend for quite a few people. Today we had our games trial and little Gabby was a star she got her snooker excellent title with a first place and master gamble with a first place. Poor little Inka stuffed up in both snooker master (mummy got lost and did things that she hadnt walked so we ran out of time ) master gamble didnt do the colour in the gamble :p In Strategic pairs master Inka and her partner Amy got 2 qualies with 2 first places and Gabby and her brother Ash got 2 qualies in excellent with 2 first places not bad considering noone thought we would do well as her brother is one crazy coolie but we have done well with only one more pass to go

I normally do pull out after a stuff up and not continue on but I thought today shall continue on I think when there is the rain I shall have to go out there and do some work and reward

Well done RubyStar and Ruby They should come thick and fast now Congratulations Brookie and well done Cider pity about the blasted stays. I agree they should be abolished Ptolomy well we had our obedience trial today and ud was even worse. Forgot to ask you what do you do when its raining in ud we did lovely seek back first sendaway she stood next to me to look at a friend that was stewarding (she might help her to get out of the rain)the next sendaway she jumped the jump and than stopped to look at the friend the articles she got them all correct but the first one stood and spat it at me the second one she sat and spat it at me and the third had a good scratch and than decided to sit and hold it and did the lovely silent signals and than took her out Open well she done funny things there as well like missing a drop in heelwork nearly forgetting to sit in front on the retrieve so much for having a working dog she hates the rain but little ms Inka she got a first in open with 192 she didnt mind getting wet unlike her sister

It was in the scent discrimination shall try that cause in every other exercise she is a nut case but soon we get to that exercise she shuts down hehehe I have three days to get it sorted lol
