Is docking legal in WA for cosmetic purposes? If it's not then I find it a bit hard to believe that he found 132 dogs to dock for health reasons... depending on the timeframe. Also, since when is a possible broken tail a health reason? I might break my arm because I like waving it around occasionally but I wouldn't consider having it removed to prevent the risk.

Yep, Moosey does reverse sneezes occasionally, usually just before bed time. I do what Miranda suggests and cover his nostrils (I think it's supposed to "reset" their breathing, if that makes sense). He hates it but about 80% of the time it works.

Not sure what you mean... are you treating the other dog to keep quiet whilst training the other dog? If so, you are just giving them double the treats unneccesarily. Train them on their own and have the other dog in a different room. :D for Happy Paws Training Treats. They are excellent. If you can't find the advertisement up top the website is Happy Paws

Oh my gosh. :D When I'm feeling down, I just need to look at a picture of Rocco doing the slug and it cheers me up. Such a wonderful guy. So sorry.

Awww what a sweetie!!! Glad you kept him. :D

What Strange Tastes Do Your Dogs Have?
moosepup replied to mutt lover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Rainbow Paddlepops! If I get one out Moose sits on my lap and gives me the big staredown. Seriously, he doesn't blink! And he drools on my leg. I let him lick the stick. -
Yeah there won't be many students on campus at the moment. You could try putting a poster up in the cafe/guild/student office on campus with those little tear off things. I work at a uni and see them all the time.

Hmm that's a pretty good area, lots of restaurants, pubs, shopping etc. Where have you advertised and how long for? Sucks trying to find roomies sometimes.

What area do you live in bb?

Leaving More Than 1 Dog At Home Alone
moosepup replied to all that glitters's topic in General Dog Discussion
99% of the time my 2 are snuggled in bed when I leave the house. The other 1% of the time they get a pet on the head and a "be good kids" and off I go. -
Thank you... I know! Did they really have to make me go through the whole application process?? It's barely a dog.
-
What an excellent tribute. He sounds like he was much loved. RIP little fella.

I couldn't get it to open?? This is the Rockingham one... There are back neighbours Are they good neighbours? I have only communicated with her via email but she seems really nice.
-
I fall under the Rockingham council area Tiggy. The form asks you to specify breed/sex/sterilized etc. I just put Chihuahua/not sure/it will be. You also have to put in why you want a 3rd dog. I'm sure the main things they are interested in are what size dog it will be and if it will be sterilized. Seems silly to have to have the dog already... what if they say no?? What's her prefix?? The puppy will be from RoyaltyChi. They have gorgeous dogs. Moose's prefix is Trendee.
-
Hi guys I got my 3 dog approval letter from the council today! To celebrate I've put myself on the waiting list for a Chi puppy.

If you're feeling particularly sadistic, put baby socks on your dog just to watch them try and walk around. Hilarious. :p

May I ask who you are with? PetSecure. I've only had 1 issue with a claim and that was when Zoe punctured the lens in her eye. She has had other issues with her eyes before so they initially knocked it back. As it was an injury and nothing to do with issues she had before, after a letter from the specialist it was paid.

After spending $6000+ on chemo for our old dog (which didn't work anyway ) we immediately got pet insurance for the dog we still had and any new dogs. Definitely worth the expense IMO. I think we pay about $45-$50 per month for both of them with a $200 excess. Zoe has 80% cover (she's nearly 11) and Moose has 100% cover.

Awwww, very sweet!!

Moose likes to gather up a little bit of sheet/blanket/towel and suckle on that. I just thought he was a bit special. ETA - he destroys his toys. I think the amount of stuffing in his bed has now exceeded the amount of toys.
-
*ka-pow!* Hey, it's your dog, you can feed it whatever you like.
-
Yeah but I care more about what my dogs eat than what I eat. I just don't think it's necessary to feed that junk when there are plenty of other healthier (cheap!) alternatives that are just as yummy.
-
Do you know what's in those??? They are full of crap, I wouldn't feed those to my dogs. They were recommended to me by my dogs breeder....so I don't consider them crap. Check the ingredients. My dogs breeder fed them too. I choose not to.
