  1. I'm having this same issue but with ants. They are EVERYWHERE. Any tips for killing them without spray??
  2. Awesome!! Is his show name Sianjo Silva Cloud?? Or was that one of his parents? New pics too please!
  3. Hmmm this kinda sounds like a scam and I do not like to be fooled. Do they come with papers??
  4. This reminds me of the time my friend bought what she thought was a Guiness blow up pool off eBay and when it arrived it was actually a blow up stubby holder.
  5. Toooo funny! I was thinking the same thing!
  6. Time to try another breed perhaps??
  7. I feed mostly chicken necks and wings. Brisket bones don't sit right with me either and my dogs don't enjoy them as much. As for BARF flavours, I normally get chicken and lamb but sometimes get rabbit or beef. I defrost 2 patties together (1 of each flavour) and feed a bit of both to each dog. I mix in a little sprinkle of VAN Health Booster and they get sardines in oil a few times a week too. And the occasional dollop of yoghurt. I also recommend Happy Paws Training Treats. They are completely natural (no colours, flavours, preservatives) and perfectly treat sized. I'd go with Perfect Puppy for a little guy like yours. It seems a little expensive but they last for AGES. And the customer service is top notch.
  8. Aaawwwweeesssoooommmeee! I got one but in the canvas bag not t-shirt. Guess which one???
  9. I found this out the hard way... very sick dog and he only ate 1 or 2.
  10. I changed my Chihuahua puppy over to BARF patties about a week after I got him home. His breeder fed Advanced puppy biscuits and dog roll. He's 1 now and still on BARF, he loves it. I just put my BARF patties in the fridge (unwrapped and in a container) the night before I need them to defrost. They don't usually fully defrost overnight so I sometimes I feed them partially frozen too.
  11. :D And I thought the Dogs West website was ugly.
  12. It would be good if you could clip cats wings like you do a bird, then they'd be just like dogs and I might actually like them. :D
  13. I know Moose is a bit of a midget but MAN can that guy shed some hair. One cuddle and you get caked in the stuff. I brush him regularly but still see hairs everywhere. I gave up caring about it.
  14. Sounds like a match made in heaven, I love when the oldies find new homes. I'm going to be of no help with a recipe but I feed my dogs the BARF patties and they love them. Very cost effective for small dogs, I spend ~$60 a month for 2 of them. I also mix in some sardines in oil a few times a week and they get VAN Health Booster too. ;)
  15. Zoe has a lump on her head similar to this that's been there for years. The vet told us it's either a wart or nothing and it's never bothered her. I would so as Kirty suggested and take him to the vet if it gets bigger or inflamed.
  16. Thanks for the update dyzney, I will be keeping my eye on this thread. C'mon lil Esmay, get better for your mum.
  17. Well should I? I'm tempted to whisper "treats" but that would be mean.
  18. You could also try contacting the Chihuahua Club in your state, they might be able to help. Listings here... Chihuahua Clubs Good luck! Let us know how you go.
  19. I too am a victim of glazing eyes... they just don't get it!
  20. My council doesn't require that you have the 3rd dog before applying. That seems completely ridiculous to me... what if it gets rejected?? You do need to specify breed, etc in your application and that is what you get permission for. I applied to have another Chihuahua but if they found I had actually gotten a Great Dane they might have an issue with that.
  21. I thought I knew everything, turns out I knew nothing.
  22. We have always had family dogs but Moose is the first dog that is my very own. When I was thinking about getting him I signed up on here to get some information because I hadn't had a puppy in a long time (nearly 11 years ago when I was 15). Well it BLEW MY MIND! 1. SOURCE - we have always got our dogs from pet shops. I didn't really know about buying from a breeder/adopting from rescue until this site. I was able to source a great breeder and now have a super little dog because of it. 2. FOOD - we have always fed our dogs supermarket food (PAL, My Dog, dog roll etc). Since getting Moose, they now eat BARF and RMB's. Also, their treats are all natural. 3. COLLARS - our dogs have always worn collars 24/7. I didn't know they could be a choke hazzard, so now because they are unsupervised during the day, they only wear collars when we go out. I much prefer them this one anyway, easier to do a full body stroke :p and no collar marks. 4. CRATE TRAINING - okay so I failed at this but I like the concept. There's lots of other things but these are the main ones. Have you read about/discussed something on DOL that has changed the way you raise/look after your dog?
  23. I encountered this too. When Moose was burnt I changed vets (confidence was shaken somewhat) for both him and Zoe but it was a bit of an ordeal getting the original vet to fax the papers over. The new vet had to request them several times. Original vet said they aren't allowed to release records to owners, new vet said that was bs.
