Two weeks ago our labrador had a dewclaw removed as it was infected etc. Last week our lab damaged its other dewclaw and it looks as though that now needs to be removed. This results in two general anaesthetics within a short period. Should my vet have suggested to me that all dew claws are removed in the first instance?
