  6. No, they've fenced it now, with post and rail, a great dane could get through them
  7. OMG! Same thing just happened to me this afternoon while i was out riding my horses with my dog. Her recall isn't great but her sit-stays are super. A hare jumped out right infront of us and headed for the highway and i yelled out sit. And she listened, every muscles twitching in her body just waiting for the release word, bum just off the ground and paw lifted while her eyes followed the hare. Hare eventually veered away from the road and back into someone's property. I know her sit-stays are great cause i go down the back paddocks with her where the roos are sometimes and use them as a training distraction. I'm glad nothing happened to your fletcher.
  8. Same My dog spreads her meal out over the day herself. I give it to her partly frozen/defrosted, she eats the mince and then leaves the rest (carcass, wings, offal) till late in the afternoon after its been 'sun-dried'. Even when she's hungry and i feed her she'll not touch it until usually 1/2hr later.
  9. I've always owned mutt horses, i really like the stock horse cross quarter horses crosses, i like how the balance out.
  10. I would prolly take her off the anti flams so you can see excatly how she's improving. that's just me, she doesn't sound like she's in extreme pain and really needs them, i owuld be worried about her 'feeling good' and making it worse. Hope its just a strain. Kaylah was sore in her back leg last week, OH couldn't tell but i could and with rest she has gotten better.
  11. Like when they do the whole 'i'm just walking past you doing nothing' and then when they aren't looking pounce on them surprising the dog.
  12. This is for sticky your big, slobbery noise behind my tail all the time This is for eating MY biscuits, MINE! Mummy said Drop so DROP! Dog: Ha ha! Got you now! No you don't
  13. For those that can't view off topic yet. Dog: For some reason I think I'm going to be in biiiiiiig trouble for something... This is for making my mother push me off her lap to suss out the racket you were making in the bin This is for chasing away 'my' birds I was stalking through the window This is for stamping your big, smelly paws on my claws This is for getting entering my litter tray and taking my "Tootsies"

  21. Yes, that was what i was also thinking. I know both of them would give up easily otherwise.
  22. Cosmolo, no the pups don't have any problems, other then what two young dog sibliings get up to. They are farm dogs - minus the cows and sheep lol. Thanks for the age tip, that was the word i was trying to find when i first posted 'retention' lol
