  1. Yes I'm going with the whole "your new dashchund puppy (which came from reputable breeder) will get the same thing as these two and you needy find out what it is". Pers, they won't be getting any more dogs to replace them. That I know for a fact
  2. I totally agree with you but Wild might be able to convince them. She obviously doesnt agree with what they did either. If I had known last week about the dog I'm sure I would have been able to convince them to take it to the vet but I wasnt told until too late. Golden, I know this sounds tuff but most farm dogs will never ever see a vet. This is not an excuse for these people as the dogs were in town but the mentality stays the same for them. Before they took the dogs away (they were kept were I'm living for most of the year, I would slip wormers and flea treatment into them myself
  3. The dog nearly got the bullet but got better before it came out Eta: I don't support or agree with this btw
  4. First dog didnt go to the vet, second dog died before they had a chance to take it
  5. I will see if I can find out about the vomit and stools
  6. These aren’t my dogs but someone I know and I’m trying to get some ideas as to what may have affected them. The two dogs were about a year old Border Collie x Kelpie or similar cross and were just recently (a month or so) moved into a suburban backyard at a rental house. Last week one of them got sick, severe vomiting with no eating or drinking and this dog was sick for about a week and over the weekend got better. On Sunday the other dog got sick with the same symptoms as the first. It died yesterday. First thought was maybe bait, but I was told the dogs don’t bark and are locked up in a shed at night. However their neighbors have dogs that never stop barking. Then the thought of parvo crossed my mind….. There is also a third dog at the residence but this dog is a papered daschund and has all its vaccinations up to date, the other two dogs have never been vaccinated (were farm dogs) Eta: update about symptoms. Dog was drinking excessively, vomit was watery and they weren't too sure about the stools but think it was normal looking but runny, just little squirts. Dog was slightly shaking.
  7. Yes, spell checker auto changed it. I have edited post
  8. Ok so this morning my grandmother went to give an elderly horse some bute that was on bread with molasses and her cattle came up behind her and took it out of her hands. I got it off the dog and she then said that my dog, (a 30kg GSD) did that to her five months ago and age the lot. I'm spewing. She never even thought to ring and tell me. Now really concerned about what damage it may have done. It was 1g when if it was to be given to a dog, on guessing the dosage rate would be around 66mg! I know it can cause kidney damage in horses if incorrectly dosed and that it's a small margin too. Is there some point of contact like poisons line that would know?
  9. Is there some new law in now, or soon to be in where-by dogs that are travelling on the back's of utes now have to be enclosed in a cage/crate as opposed to just being tethered?
  10. I'm not sure how to get the link off the iPhone. Search everything animal on pages, it was the first one that came up for me.
  11. Ok so I've just seen a sign on the town's biggest fueler for puppy farmers saying add them on facebook. only just resisting the urge to post something...
  12. Happen to drive past and find a nice place to let the dog out for a run and swim, even lucky enough to have the camera in the car.
  13. Is this the same Proctor and Gamble that own some types of electrical items (can't remember excatly what but i'm thinking toothbrushes and other cheap items)
  14. Most of the file names on the memory card have been renamed to things like: DWC_017= DWC_017< DWC_0066.JTG (whatever that is...) And have been shuffled around ie, not in same order as i took them. I took some photos on sat and copied them to computer, took some more and copied those to computer and deleted some and then took more and now this problem. DWC_0016 Ones like this are fine and show in the window when connected up but cannot open them and if i do i get: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error! Program: ...hop Album Starter Edition\3.0\Apps\ComponentLauncher.exe THis application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

  19. I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me put these two photo's on a nice background. My neighbour (elderly disabled lady) had to PTS her dog yesterday. These are the only photos I have and she doesn't have any. I want to put two photos in one photo frame (i have pink doggy pawprint paper background) I will pay for this. Thanks
