  1. You obviously have never had a bad infestation. These products alone do not always work. Speaking from experience, i did all animals every two weeks and the situation remained unchanged. I dont even think frontline works......for me anyway....... Although, i would be great if it was as simple as what you said.
  2. Food refusal - word you could use is leave it. Very hard to get reliable results (for the average dog owner) and harder when the owner isn't around
  3. capstar is great too. kills all fleas within 10mins and lasts for 24hrs. helps give that boost. Get ur house and around the house sprayed and wash all bedding and vaccumming just before they spray. should help. i did all this and havent had to use flea treatment for 6 months. any visiting dogs, such as my sisters, get a capstar tablet before arriving so not to bring any home
  4. u should edit your post to labrador x poodle before you get flamed ETA: do a search on Raw and you will find everything your after
  5. Instead of light coming down on top, i had it coming behind (is this ok/right for our topic?) I couldn't decided which of these three i like the best. Straight off the camera, (dont know how to edit photos anyway)
  6. thats an excellent idea, drop stay while i open the door and reward to chase birds :D
  7. arghh i have them same problem, no focus. The crows try and eat her breakfast so i encouraged her to chase them. Now everytime i walk outside she tries to beat them and gets all excited and rushes out the door incase there are some birds to chase.
  8. i was thinking though, if the dog is eager and wants to please, and you take it away from that opportunity for reward, then, sin binning might work?
  9. i use these for horse riding when practising mounted games. I didn't give them to my dog but she thought she would help herself to them. they are all over the paddock ripped to pieces, the ones that arent now look like a seive
  10. I just watched one of Casers Millans DVD and he made a comment that sin binning does not work. However, one of the trainers from the NDTF said that you can use sin binning as a form of punishment.
  11. push him out and close the door
  12. i dunno, run him up a hill - alot. i do that a bit with horses to get them working off thier hindquraters
  13. u poor thing lol my dog as a pup and one year used to pull me off my feet no matter what i did. it was an ADHD bouncy rubber ball that weighed 50kg attached on the other end of my leash. Now i can walk her anywhere and she doesn't pull. This was obtained by using a check chain correctly after being showed how to. It only took a few corrections to 'get' the idea.
  14. do you take her out much to where other dogs are or haven been? Do you board her? If not then i (personally) wouldn't worry about it. My dog has had all her puppy ones and first yearly booster but none since then. Same with my cat
  15. i like this one. :D i'm not entering, everyone elese are too good
  16. this might not be helpful but...no matter how much i gave my dog she would hardly ever eat. so now i feed her next to the cat, and she gulps it down, i guess she doesnt want to share even though she doesn't want it. i then reward her for eating and now (after a few weeks) she eats all her food at once without the need for the cat
  17. so in other words positive punishment. is that the same thing?
  18. if he is cyring and yelping so you continue back to him and touch him/release him? if you are that would be reinforcing what he was doing. try ignoring it till he stops then pat him or whatever you do. Mine was the same
