  1. everyone's photos are great! I have a couple from New Zealand a couple weeks ago, one photo isnt landscape but had to put it just to show how fricking close we where flying to the moutains! (Dad hired a six seater plane and he flew it with us as passengers all through the mountains - it was beautiful). Photobuckets being a pain and i cant rotate this too even though they were uploaded the correct way... This is a mountain lake
  2. poor dog.... what was the cause? Or is that unknown and Focus just dropped dead?
  3. yay for good news! Staples, lol, things you see dogs do
  4. Its healed up nicely, somehow... She has been at my grandparents house for the last week and a half while i was over in NZ and she was only on soft green grass the whole time there so it probably helped in healing it without it being subject to granite and gravel. She's completely sound now. Her paw is still rough but so are all the other ones and because she has been on soft grass I'm starting to think that maybe its a zinc definancy so i have been increasing that since i have been back.
  5. My pup had the same, he had a tear duct infection which when it started looked like that, I would see an opthamologist to be sure. If i had left it she said it would have been a disaster, as it is my pup was on antibiotics for 20 days... her problem is in both eyes but the left being the worst. Could this still possibly be a tear duct infection if it is affecting both eyes? becks, what could of antihistimine can i use and how much for 30kg?
  6. thanks elfin, i saw the other thread and your post for the conjunctivitis thread and have just brought some Calendula tea today  Just wanted some second opinions incase it was serious.
  7. I asked my vet about this about two and a half weeks ago (while i was there about her spilt paw) when her eyes had just been weeping for two days. The vet just glanced at her eyes and said its nothing. There are still weeping/watering. They are never red, or sore looking or seem to bother her, but what is causing it? I just wipe away her eyes with a cotton ball every morning and night. see photo for better explaination.
  8. these arent excatly recent but they qualify (i think) Tangalooma wrecks on morton island.
  9. Hugs, what a beautiful dog she is. You must have been doing something right to get her this far.
  10. OH just rang to say he found a tick on one of my horse's chin. He said it was very small and white. I asked him to keep for when i get home to see what it was. Too late he had already squished it. Do paralysis ticks go for horses? Does it sound like paralysis tick? If so I’m worried. We are in an area that is cattle tick free (well supposed to be) and also paralysis tick free also. For the last eight months I haven’t needed to use any flea or tick treatment. I’m in SE QLD south of Toowoomba.
  11. Q1: Do I need a mix of different organs to obtain the optimum level of nutrients/vitamins required? Q2: I just got some minced lamb’s fry, heart, ox liver from my butcher (which they did at my request ) How much of that should I mix into the mince for a daily dose? I would be mixing it with mince, along with a chicken carcass and some chicken legs to make up about 800 – 900gm worth.
  12. Be careful when dosing the cat as some breeders lost kittens with this product as they didn't follow the instructions. I think from memory the dose needs to be given with food over two meals on the same day but please check. thanks lemappelle, poor kittens, will check again but haven't had any issues thankfully,
  13. they are ambex 5 so one tablet per 5kg 100 tablets in a bottle, i dont mind giving Kaylah six tablets in one go, i just got that size so i could use it on the cat as well. so you would need 58 tablets for both doses. You would prolly be better off getting the larger dosed ones.
  14. cosmolo, what sort of problems do you experience. I want to check mine before it runs out of warranty, i dont have much to do with it other than whacking it on my dog everymorning and hope that it still beeps
  15. thanks star, i saw it after i posted this. I'm going to increase RC just incase and make a few other changes.
  16. I've got the contain and train one, i thinks its iuc-4100 or something. Its great but the only downfall is the remote trainer doesnt have enough stim levels so i cant use it. I dont have a problem with the terminals digging into her neck because she only has the collar on very loose, she doesn't need to get shocked, the tone is enough for her. she's not silly, she always stops just short before the tone at the fence. The collar is very light and waterproof, as well as the remote Transmitter beeps if there is a break in the wire (which is handy for 30 acres) I love it, just that little bit more added security of keeping your dog in (there is a fence as well) And the battery seems to last for months without having to recharge (not using the trainer)
  17. i got those ambex something or rathers eariler this year. i doubt i am ever going to use them all, is that what your thinking about?
  18. i didnt ask in my original question because i thought it would be very expensive. what else do you use, did you find that lightroom was better?
  19. I got some prices at work today and the student edition of CS4 extended was within my budget and can in at a cheap price of $160 so I got that  I figured I will learn to use it eventually and it was cheap enough.
  20. she eats horse feed (speedi beet, chaff, pellets etc). I guess that would count lol. I'll look into that booster powder just incase, i cant get her to eat more RC, she just wont.
  21. how's is he today? back to his normal self?
  22. aww, thats not fair, that would be soo much cheaper if thats all i had to give her. I made a topic couple weeks back about her weight because i thought she might have been a bit underweight but all said she was fine. The discussion for 'Help me get weight on my dog'
  23. .Thanks nek, she needs that much lol. I like the idea of mincing the offal, why didn’t I think of that? Anyway, will get minced offal and ask for a ‘scraps’ mince. Interesting about the human grade mince…
