  1. Where do you live Wildatheart? I was kind of thinking about arranging some kind of carpool as I dread the drive on my own too - although with the logan and pacific motorways and the new tweed by pass I think it's only an hour from the western suburbs where I am. I'm coming from Toowoomba. Oh I dread drivin in Brissy too, all the road works and limited signage. you can always drive down the night before and stay at Camp Tailwaggers I dont finish work till 8pm on Thursday. I got a huge reving yesterday for confirming my three days off next week for state championships. No way am i asking for thursday off, i might even have to be 'sick' on the friday. WTF they give us annual leave for if we cant have it??? Anyway, so i'll be going down friday morning. Car pool sounds like a great idea, except, where would the dogs fit? ohhh Toowoomba will be nasty. If you can get to the Logan motorway before 7am you should be ok with the traffic. Ipwich motorway the the warego highway in the last few km's before it becomes the ipswich motorway are the worst for traffic but I've found (from past experience) that you can get through that before 7am you don't encounter as much traffic. Once you hit the logan motorway (and don't think about avoiding the tolls as it will take you over an hour to get through Brisbane any other way) it's really cruisey as you are going the opposite way to most others! do i need an etag? or do they still do cash?

  3. oh man, I looked in whereis last night to see excatly where Camp Tailwaggers is at the Gold Coast. Its a fricken 3hr drive!!! I guess i'll have to get up extra early and battle my way through horrible brisbane traffic on my way through...sigh.....hope its worth it. I'm sure it will, Im quite excited. (So if I'm really dumb on the day its because I had to get up early )
  4. so what things should i bring. Pen, paper, dog, dog crate, and what's this lunch someone mentioned?
  5. K9: If you could get her to stay with you, you could keep her, but she wouldnt lol.. She looks at me like that all the time. mmm what on earth could be more rewarding then Steve? *racks brain trying to come up with something*
  6. do you think Steve will notice if i swap my GSD for his? That way i'll come home with a well trained one.....
  7. mmm i only have a big wire collapsiable crate, would that matter? Daisy cant be that naughty. look at the face on her - so innocent lol
  8. So, are you allowed to bring naughty dogs? Like ones that dont listen when there are distractions and all they want to do is drag you all over the place to play with other dogs? Everyone else's dogs sound very well behaved. Does everyone that's going already know each other?
  9. Nevermind, its for instructors only, I didn’t know that. Just received an email back….
  10. Aww, how did I miss the weekend workshop?????? I really want to go…..

  12. ok, terra and spring dog are the lucky last. All pvc is now gone. Thanks eta: although, after i finish this lot i might consider making more for those that really want some. But I would have to charge postage.
  13. The first jumps has one bar on cups. And has a bar just off the ground for support (fixed). The second jump has two bars on cups and a bar on the ground for support (fixed).
  14. like a 'U' shaped peg that can go over the ends of all four corners? Or you dont want the bar to fall off and that to be solid? And possibly some more bars to make the jump look more 'full'. I can add extra bars for $8 ETA: Or did you want them higher as well?
  15. Bonnie, I'm posting everything for free. As long as fastways (courier) can get to you it will be free.

For one set - $55 For two full sets, plus a connector to make them 12 or just two by six lots - $120 Dog Jumps Will have bars that knock off, so cups holding the bars up - 1060 mm wide & 950 mm tall $35 or - 1060 mm wide & 950 mm tall $45
  17. I have some poles/pegs for sporting events (horse riding) i cut up today. I got one size too big and i cant fit them into my pegs bases....sigh.... I've listed it in members market. (Listed here for those that don't have access to that) They would make great agility jumps if you just buy some connectors. 36 x pvc lengths 2.5cm wide x 1.4m high. These would cost $150 to buy from plumbing store and I've already cut them to lenghts. $3.50 each (or pm if getting a few) or $100 for the lot. Can post.
  18. thanks for the replies. The dog is now fine, but i was shocked when she told me what the vet did, which was nothing another then stick it in a cage for teh day.
  19. Ah... it's actually been posted on another forum I'm on. I'm stumped already and I don't even have the box yet. please tell whats in the box
  20. If its a disc problem, how is that diagnoised? The vet sort of just fobbed it off as nothing in the end.
  21. My friend’s German shepherd, I think he’s around 2 or 3 years old was rushed to the vet yesterday. My friend found him yesterday morning standing up but all hunched over, unable to move his back legs and hardly able to move his front. She and her partner rushed him to the vet where he started moving uncontrollably, like a seizure. The vet administered Valium and the dog calmed down. The dog was kept there for observation and let out the afternoon as he was ‘all better’. Dog is now fine. Vets first thought was snake bit but by the afternoon he suggested maybe neurological and just sent the dog home. No tests were done, nor x rays. They only administered the Valium. Does anyone have any suggestions what it may have been. The owner, including the vet, were very puzzled.
  22. Your hair and snott's ears match Great photo!
