Hi Kadbury- no, just restless and a bit of nesting last night, and generally be rather uncomfortable. She wasn't happy about not being able to nest outside under the clam shell pool (I'm sooo mean)and just now wanted to get into my bedroom to set up camp next to my side of the bed, but there is a perfectly good whelping box in the other room and thats where she is going to be (we've been in all night but I've taken a bit of a break to get some housework done and check messages.) ;) She's currently getting restless again so am watching her closely. Her temp is heading back up (it went down yesterday during the day) so I'm hoping we get some action tonight. Kicked the OH and Miss 12 out for the day - I need the peace and quiet as much as Sohvi does!

Love the puppy pics guys! Congrats BMP! It's 2.30am and on whelp watch - oh what fun ;) Hoping for either puppies or sleep tonight but I may not get either! LOL

You are entitled to those papers. Its like have the pink slip (ownership) papers for your car, or a birth certificate. He should supply them to you as it is required by DogsNSW. If you don't get them within the next 4 weeks or so, you will need to contact DogsNSW and report that he hasn't forwarded them to you. Breeders can get into a lot of trouble for withholding papers.

so sorry to hear that

I think the litter passed away

Aww, thats just sooo cute Oakey ;) We're hoping to have some whelping action this weekend, but Sohvi could go sooner than that - its now down to the waiting game & keeping a close eye on her. But loving all the puppy pics in the meantime!

congrats!!! Sorry to hear that Risyntira - hopefully next time I was woken up at 4am by Sohvi the goodyear blimp nesting in the hallway - trying to scratch up the wood floors She's settled down today but its probably a good guess that she will go towards the end of the week, or on the weekend - will see! Can feel a fair bit of movement, so no wonder she is feeling rather uncomfortable, poor girl!

Australia Post has been less than fantastic - perhaps instead of thinking its DogsVic, it may be Australia Post's own delays, on anything that isn't a simple letter, really. Hope you do get the magazine - it has a lovely Lappie on the front - the first issue with our breed in it, so we are all rather pleased!

Aw - sweetie ;). Good luck- hope to hear puppy news soon!
-
Hi Pip- probably not us - expecting puppy breath shortly so we'll be keeping the excursions to a minimum ;)
-
Shame they weren't after a Finnish Lapphund ;)

good luck!

sohvi at just over 7 weeks - looking rather uncomfortable (can't get both legs under now!)and one of her just looking pretty LOL
-
congrats Gumnut! And love the little puglets Puglvr ;) Sohvi looks like the side of a house right now LOL. Another couple of weeks to go ;)

Yes - it does take two to tango ;) But I know that if the post thaw isnt too crash hot it's not good news. Ideally both the girl & semen are all good & ready to go when the time is right.

5 puppies, it was done by Stewart Mason at Monash. Not bad considering 12 months earlier we thought she would have to be de-sexed due to her "special needs" uterus! Thanks SwaY - ;) Stewart is very good. We're looking at doing a TCI down the track with frozen, so interested in what you had. I'm assuming though that it was with fresh semen, and ofcourse much depends on post thaw quality. But from what I have read, it would appear that the success rates for TCI vrs surgical AI are pretty much the same - the the TCI having the advantage of not involving the stress of the proceedure and post-op care. The downside is that you may use more semen than the surgical but again, it depends a lot on quality.

Congratulations!!

Thats interesting SwaY. Can I ask how many did you get out of the TCI's?

Dog is from the UK, she means the UK Kennel Club Thanks, I didn't like to say that if it was registered in the American one only, the chances may be ziltch as to registering it here, as we are told the organisation is a non recognised body. thats correct. only dogs registered with the AKC may be registered here, as there is only one official registery recognised in each country.

Congrats!!!!

We used Gillman for our open show - they were high quality & the price was reasonable - will be going with them again for our inaugural champ show.

Hi Lappiemum, I don't suppose you or anyone else kept a copy of that facebook exchange? One of the worst comments and I quote: "For the safety of my 'mutts' I won't be attending the Big Day Out. God knows what those 'Genetically Modified Dogs', the so called Purebred Dogs, might have that could contaminate them. ...." Actually came from the secretary of the local obedience dog club! ( an affiliate of Dogs Vic!) As an Ex 10 yr member (of that club) I have already registered my concern, but without any proof nothing can be done. I know one thing , while she still holds that position I wont be entering any trials there. God knows what I would say if I bumped into her! No, sorry, didn't keep any copies of the thread, and the DogsVic page has removed it (for obvious reasons I would think!).
