  1. My boy was a chronic bed chewer. In the end I got some vet bed and stuck it in there, thinking that if he chews it up thats fine, its easy enough to replace. The bugger hasn't touched it and seems quite happy to just sleep on it rather than chew it up. Go figure!
  2. Oh, the daddy is very studly She looks the same as tashy in girth - just less hairy! Poor girls, they don't have anywhere near as good a time with this whole mating thing as the boys!
  3. Tooth aches suck big time hope u can get in & get it sorted today! And yes more pics please!!
  4. LOL ok! Hope she hurries up a bit for you and you have puppies by this evening
  5. There's always one that had to be different! Hope all goes well today!
  6. Has her temp dropped in the last 24hrs?
  7. LOL trust me, when you feel her its not all fur!! She's gone off her kibble this morning, wouldn't even have the sardines (which my other two scoffed down happily for her) but was quite happy with cheese and kangaroo tenderloins. She really just wants meat, and when I try to get her to eat stuff that's "good" for her she's telling me to get stuffed. I can kind of understand, really. All I wanted to eat when I was pregnant was steak too! LOL
  8. Good luck MissyMoo! SBT- For her that's Fat! LOL This is what she looks like normally and this is from Monday night
  9. Good luck missymoo Some pics of miss tashy. She's 6 weeks from first mating today. She's rather rotund!
  10. She looks like she's going to pop! Hope everything goes well for you from now on Lyndsey - fingers and paws crossed all round!
  11. tri a little kindness tri not to look so pretty tri to stop me tri to be me tri your luck
  12. Tashy reckons that the yogurt I tried to give her wasn't terribly appealing either. Mind you, my other girl thought it was very tasty!!
  13. thanks - the spectacles seem to add to her clownish behaviour!
  14. I have Lappies, so I get asked all the time what breed. However, my girl Sohvi (we call her Sausage, becuase she's rather silly) even has showies asking what breed! I even had a judge try to rub off her spectacle markings once, she thought I had chalked in her eyes!! LOL
  15. Are they FCI registered? Am assuming so, if they are ANC recognised. Lovely dogs, good luck with them.
  16. so sorry to hear Lyndsay :D at least mum is ok
  17. Lappies are a working breed :p but - in general - they are pretty laid back compared to most.
  18. LOL Tell me about it, not hand feeding yet but we are spending a bit on steak!LOL Getting the whelping room ready this week - not too long to wait now!!
  19. Lappies (in general) don't have the same energy requirements as a border collie They are happy with a half hour - hour walk each day, and its not the end of the world if you miss a day. Mind you, if you want to be a dedicated exercise freak, there will be a Lappie out there that will be more than happy to tag along! LOL
  20. hopeing all goes well for you Lyndsay!
  21. but will your heart be in it if you keep her on? Will you do everything - and be honest with yourself - in order to promote her to the full extent? Or will you see her fault everytime you look at her? If she is not a dog you believe in 100% I would place her in a loving home that will have her as their beloved pet. There are many, many show quality pets out there - and that is ok, there are other ways of promoting your breed that don't involve a ring - and the fact of the matter is that we usually don't have the resources to run on every wonderful example of the breed (as much as we would like to).
