  1. Some pics of Miss Tasha Taken this morning. Sorry but I can't get any back shots, she just rolls to the side! LOL And getting standing shots isn't easy - she would much rather sit or lie down :D
  2. Great to hear MissyMoo! I think Kimmy and Tasha if they got together would probably be able to compare pregnancy notes.... LOL I managed to get Tasha to eat a bit of cheese and ham this morning, along with several doses of nutrigel Her appetite returned a bit this afternoon thankfully, so she's eaten a bit of mince and puppy kibble tonight and seems happy enough to now just lie on the mat and groan occassionally to herself. I think the kids are kicking tonight! Will take some pics tomorrow to post up - I can tell you now she has the same expression as Kimmy though!
  3. have a great time today SA Lappie people (and fans!) LOL Would like some pics too please!!!
  4. We have an x-ray appointment tomorrow - time is getting close here too. Tasha is off her food, its a bit of a battle to get to to eat anything. All I can say is I love nutrigel! But she has stolen as many bones/pigs ears as she can find and has buried them (badly) in the backyard
  5. I think the first one, with the thought ballon.... BAA HUMUG! :)
  6. Whats her temp now? Is she nesting? eta - just saw the time you posted SBT - hoping all is going well for you.....!
  7. My show trolley was made in Geelong and I love it I can do cross country in the mud and all is good!
  8. Legally, unless its in joint partnership the dog is the property of the person who bought it. If the owner has decided that they no longer want their property, its up to them to deal with it. They have no legal come back on the person they purchased the property from, any more than they would if they had bought a car, driven it around for 2 years and then decided they didn't like it anymore. Now, if they want to replace the dog its up to them (I wouldn't do it personally, but I'm a softie :D ) - I would hope they would do this ethically with the interests of the dog in mind. However, iof you again replace 'dog' with car, you don't go back to the person you bought the first car from and demand a second replacement. Sorry, but in the words of a famous Aussie movie, tell em they're dreamin! :D
  9. What day is she up to? Is it 54? It will be day 56. That was taken from day 12 of her season and she mated on day 10 also. poor lil poss will explode soon Poor girls. I haven't the heart to tell tasha that it doesn't get any better from here on in! LOL Hope its all smooth sailing for you SBT - not long now
  10. omg how funny..... well when you gotta go you just cant wait Holly did that at the Royal 2009 on Sunday Specials day, she had taken 3rd place in puppy bitch from a huge class and we were in for SA Bred bitch, she was 1/2 way through her triangle and smack bang in the middle of the ring with a huge crowd when she pooped, went for AGES too. Judge didn't care too much and gave her another 3rd in a big class! I could have died. LOL it didn't worry me too much, I knew we weren't going to get anything under this judge anyway - Sohvi wasn't his 'type'
  11. A thick skin and a sense of humor are both very important if you plan on showing!! LOL
  12. Ruger- If you are asking becuase she is a show prospect, you need to understand that a lot can happen between now and when your girl has matured. So comments now may or may not have any future bearing. Secondly, and this is most important, is that the breed standard is very much open to interpretation. In short - beauty - and correctness - are in the eye of the beholder. Unless its a screaming fault, you are likely to have a variation of opinions as to what is right and wrong. Remember, the perfect dog has NEVER been bred, and all dogs - even international champions - will have some minor faults. They are judged on how severe these faults are, and its all about one person - the judge - having an opinion on which dog is the best one - on the day. My advice would be to a) study your standard and learn what it means b) go to dog shows and see what is awarded, by who, and find out why c) talk to other breeders and showies, but bear in mind there is always dog politics! d) talk to your breeder - if you have bought a show dog they should support you as you learn all about showing. And good luck! She's a lovely baby!
  13. I love the pic with Racer and Sheep
  14. Thanks Lyndsay. Yes she did - was very happy with her But she didn't do very well at the Melbourne (she pooped in the ring - biggest one I've ever seen her do too!!) LOL
  15. some pics taken last night of Miss Tash edited to add a pic of Miss Sohvi (aka the sausage). She seems to think that whenever there is a camera, she needs to be in front of it! LOL So it just wouldn't be right if I didn't stick at least one pic of her in this thread! (one day she will be hopefully be a mum too!)
  16. sorry about your girl Whippets But your boys look just so adorable! What sweet petals! Hope mum is doing well and babies get big and strong quickly!
  17. Hey SBT - My girl sends your girl sympathy and says she knows how it feels!! LOL There's a few bubbas in there by the looks of it!! We're keeping Tasha inside now - if she gets out back she keeps trying to find nesting spots that are totally inappropriate for her size and condition!! Squeezing behind the bbq and up against the house is NOT a good spot, nor is under the bogenvilla bush or any other spot that is small and difficult to get in and out of! - Especially when there is a perfectly comfy whelping box in a nice quiet whelping room in the house. I took some pics of Tashy last night so will post them up today when I get home - but she's not far behind Kimba I would say, even with all the coat hiding things a bit! LOL eta - good news Missymoo!
  18. Groupfive - have Pmed you. For all the Kepala regulars, its important that if there are issues that need to be addressed that its done so openly and in a friendly manner. We know that our dogs all have different temperaments and energy levels, and its really a testament to the good ownership practices of DOLer that we can have maltese running with rotties. However, sometimes (for various reasons) our dogs can be a little too full on, so its important that the following ground rules are remembered: 1. We are going to have fun and let the dogs have fun (this is a big one!) 2. If your dog is not so good with others, it is ok because there are other runs you can use 3. We want ALL the dogs to have fun, so no humping, fighting etc allowed. And as above there are other runs we can use. What this means is that we all just need to keep an eye on our pooches. Now, if you have a few (like me) then sometimes you may miss what one of your little angels is up to - so we ask that everyone keeps an eye out and if one dog (or more) are getting a little too excited or boisterous, then let the owner know - or one of the Kepala regulars - and we can do something about it. Please don't ignore it, or get angry with others over it - it doesn't need to have to be like that, and whats more its how accidents can happen (which we DON'T want). So a bit of a heads up, if you have something you need to discuss with another DOLer please PM them, or if you want ask one of the Kepala organisers to help out. Remember rule 1 - that counts for the two legged Kepalaites as much as the four legged ones!
  19. Sorry for the little ones that have gone over the bridge Lyndsay & China. :D Hope all your other babies are going strong now!
  20. LOL Tasha had her steak tongiht too - except hers is done very rare!! We're at 7 weeks tomorrow & Tuesday - here are a couple of pics from today.
