  1. AWWWW!! LOL I should have some more pics to share soon. A friend came over today and took pics while I held them up - its hard to get profile shots when only using one hand to hold the camera!!LOL
  2. the blood in the urnine is NOT a good sign. Please take her to a vet now.
  3. Get her to a vet right now. Don't muck around - it could be a range of things. Insist that she stays and that they run bloods and urnine tests.
  4. We have little personalities starting here. The little red girl, loves attention, and when she knows I am there, she will come straight over for a cuddle, 'Tank'(the boy) is so much like his daddy whinges at bloody everything, collar girl is a little worm and wont sit still, spot girl is also likes attention but will let you know when she has enough, and little mohogony girl is the laid back one, takes everying in her stide, well crawl. They have all got this little whine/bark thing happening too now, and it is so cute except when they do it early hours of the morning LOL I'm looking forward to that all happening At the moment I still have little guinea pigs who's major objective in life is to beat their siblings to the milk bar Although there are definately one or two that are far more vocal than the others!!!
  5. Tasha shot hers out very quickly, but she had the calcium right after and has been on it since. Nutragel only if she was off her food and to stimulate her appetite, no meat only high quality puppy kibble (and lots of it!).
  6. this is one http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...asons,+breeding eta - this one too http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...breeding,+bitch
  7. Oh dear!! LOL At least we don't have to worry about that for a while.....!
  8. LOL I took those pics 2 days ago, and they look incredibly skinny compared to now....love fatty bomba puppies Sounds like your in for fun now Missymoo! I haven't told Tasha that they will be mobile shortly, she has just gotten used to having them around LOL
  9. Some more pics Tasha and bub boy 1 boy 2 girl 1
  10. This is in a sense the issue - when you start charging additional for 'special' colours, then there is the temptation for breeders to attempt to breed for that colour, rather than overall conformation. I've seen many pretty coloured dogs with awful conformation, and the owners have been charged a great deal.
  11. he's got the beached whale look going there!! LOL One of my girls has been nicknamed big bertha - boy is she a porker - she just comes barreling through at feed time! Will be interesting to see what happens when she hits solids! Am trying to put together some pics at the moment, but there is just soo much to do!
  12. We have a variety of possible colours and markings in our breed - having just had a litter, I've had a number of requests for particular colours. Its very difficult to predict 100% what colour you will get with a Lappie mating, even if both parent are the 'traditional' black tan and white, depending on what is behind the lines (and genetic lottery) you can end up with a litter of mixed or even mostly different colours. While its a bit of fun seeing what you get, the reality is that I've been very upfront to say that colour is a secondary consideration to other things (like health, type and temperament). So with this litter, I am looking for a particular type that I want to build on, colour is largely irrelevant. Personally, though, I wouldn't charge differently for 'rare' or 'unusual' colours (although of know of instances where a higher price has been charged by others). The reason I don't do this myself is that I believe it places a 'value' on something that doesn't actually have an actual value, but is really just a reflection of fashion - and personally, I don't think selecting for colour helps with improving the breed in the long run. To each their own, however.
  13. Love the little ones jackofhearts! How cute are they?? Some pics today of Mumma Tasha and some of the babies - sorry about the pics, the room is dark and I don't want to use a flash! mumma and bubs little boy 2 - can't see him very well but its my arty shot! LOL Girl 3 - she is one where her markings have come out very strongly from the start Girl 4 - the biggest My fav pic - mumma tasha and girl 4 having a cuddle
  14. loving all the pics  SBT - I have some noisey ones here too - all is good sleeping/eating, but when Mum gives them a clean you should hear the hollering! Its seems all kids never want to have their bath!LOL Have to weigh them yet today, but they all look like they are putting it on nicely. As of yesterday (2 days old) I had between 275 and 360... the big one is a girl who was last born - but I think there are another couple who will be close to her now.
  15. congrats Jackofhearts - look forward to those pics!
  16. At least that's something SBT :D FTM love the puppy pile Lyndsay!
  17. it sounds like a pain in the butt, but 'hand feed' water to her - Tasha is the same, if I hold the waterbowl up to her and scoop up a bit of water to her she is happy to drink it, do it a few dozen times and eventually she just drinks from the bowl. She's happy to eat, but again if I feed it to her - at the moment its baby puppy kibble mixed up with a bit of chicken mince that she likes. Here's some pics - 1 day old
  18. Well, its been a busy night! Just after dinner last night, Tasha decided it was time to have her babies. We now have 6 gorgeous finnish lapphund bubbas, 4 female and 2 male. The biggest was the last female, also the last to be born at some ungodly hour this morning (have to check my notes, I'm just a little sleep deprived atm) All were whelped without any problems, slid out (a couple shot out!) nicely and started kicking right away. All happy to suck (a couple were even wagging their little tails!) LOL All are tri colour markings, some are quite strongly marked so it should be interesting to see how they develop ;) We are very happy - Tasha being a fab mum, attentive but not over the top and happy to have us with her. All babies are getting fat and sleek already, and doing really well. Couldn't ask for a better whelping Will upload some pics later today.
  19. poor babies! Hope they get better soon!!
  20. How are your babies going Lyndsay? Any more pics?
  21. Well you might steal one, and they are HERS! LOL Hope her appetite improves soon (am sure it will ;) ) Big congrats Dunnwarren -must have been bit a surprise to find the extra boy, but obviously a good one! We've had a fun night with Tash - she's decided again that she doesn't want to whelp in her box and wants to nest under our bed. She's not happy being shut our of our room, but there is no way I'm going to go looking for her and puppies amongst the suitcases we store under there! Temp this morning was hovering on 37.1 so we may - or may not - have action sometime soon(ish).
  22. I would assume clear, as no-one in their right mind would put a carrier to an untested dog/bitch.
