No mention of rain for Sunday now! Wonder if they may change their mind again! This Sunday will be interesting!

Wouldn't surprise me! It's been wet here on and off all week! Also it mentioned showers and chance of thunderstorms from Midday! Definitely would be a hard one to make a decision based on unpredictable weather this week! lol

You are so right BMP. :rofl: :rofl: We have had 2 BOB's the last two weeks. But after the previous Saturday's we were 5th out of 5 on the next day. :rofl: :rofl: x 2! I love the independence too, never thought I would be reversing a trailer or driving interstate by myself with the dogs to a show Last shows I went to my girl won BOB, intermediate in group and the in show judge told me how much he liked her, next show (same day) res cc and not even rubob seems kind of crazy. p.s whats chicken court mean? I know how you feel about it being crazy! It happens to me a lot as well with Clancy! I got placed 2nd out of 2 at one specialty and 3rd out of 4 at another specialty last month and 2 weeks ago went 8 Points Best of Breed and Intermediate in Group with over 200 Toys entered! Mind you he was not even shortlisted and there was another that was shortlisted which was in the same Class in Group as Clancy!!! Baffling to be honest! But I'll take it! One thing learned! There is no right or wrong answer!!!! Another great thing about showing! The unpredictability!! :D

Definitely a couple of things for me! Before showing, I would be online from say 6 or 7 am to 1 or 2 am! :D I was studying IT at TAFE so I spent a lot of time on my computer chatting with other classmates about the classes, help each other with assignments/homework etc etc! But now thanks to showing, it's now something to do most weekends/twilights! It's a nice shift of lifestyle and more time outdoors and traveling on the road going to shows! Secondly, it's something to do other than work!! It's also another type of "work" so to speak, but it's more something I want to do and a chance to work with my dogs and spend time with them It's basically a perfect time waster activity! :D Love it for the travels, relaxation, and showing the dogs for fun! Any wins attached is a bonus and would make the day sweeter! It's a real nice learning experience! I initially started with handling someone's Pug during child handlers while my mum showed her Dobermann and was enjoying it before they eventually finished showing and recently came back into it! So probably a 10+ years! I had the bug long before my Min Pin!

I can only think of one thing at the moment that irks me! I hate the sight of something in Gazette or even posted on here that goes along the line of: "Group 1 and Group ... indoors, all other groups outside"! I am sure plenty of Toy dogs would love to be outside as well showing rather be indoor! Especially on a warm or even hot day! I remember last year that it was like 35 that day and nearly every exhibitors in Group 1 spread themselves out to the nearest door waiting for Group Specials as it was bloody hot in the Pavillion!

I heard showers, nothing bad down here. Fingers crossed it doesn't turn feral :D Last year they predicted overcast and rain and it ended up being the opposite! But CC recent post maybe just enough to put me off going to this show! Probably will wait till the morning of the shows to decide about whether I will go or not! ;) I'm disappointed that this week is hot and then the weekend is the complete opposite!

I was going to buy one last year for my gazebo as the price wasn't too bad (There is someone at the KCC shows that sells them). But had second thoughts cause the grass at KCC is nicer and cooler as well in the summer and I thought bugger it! If you show at KCC it's worthwhile speaking to the people at that stall, they have a whippet and sometimes bring a Dobie as well :D

Not yet but pretty sure it will be soon. I was in touch with the secretary last Friday night as I was worried one of my cheque (for this show) was not cashed as I sent it in early September. They were all sent to the people who is doing the catalogues so the secretary was not able to tell me if they received my entries. I went to the bank on Saturday to check and the cheque was recently cleared, so I know I am in both shows.

The Min Pin Club of Victoria also refund if Best in Show and Runner Up in Show winner are entered in Property Class, I have seen it on the schedule previously

I'm wondering and hopefully someone may know! I had a look for Min Pins Result for Perth Royal, but it was not mentioned when Sway posted or on the website. Does this mean there was no Min Pins entered? Or was there more to it like Non-Awarded or something? Thanks!

I've voted no to both! I am new to showing and it's been a year since I showed my Min Pin and I have yet to get him titled! It's great hearing those who is new to showing getting their first dog titled, I hope my day will soon come! *fingers crossed* I am still proud of the fact he has done so well in the short time, he won me a box full of Rosettes, Sashes and Ribbons! He is only on 55 Points and his best is a 9 Point Challenge (Went RUBOB that day)! His biggest win is Reserve Challenge at a Specialty to a Grand Champion he is yet to defeat! But some points he had no competitions on the day and there has been others where he had to beat to get the points. I get told this time and time again which is true! The judge do have the right to not award Challenges/BOB! So no I wouldn't ask anybody to pull their dogs out so I can get points and I wouldn't even pull any of mine out for someone to get their dogs title! I've paid for the entry for the Judges opinion of my dog on the day and for a day of relaxation after working during the week and that is what I will continue to do!

Also to add to the others, it's called skybus, It's the red bus and stops outside Virgin and Quantas terminal and runs every 15 mins and gets to southern within 15 to 20 mins. Return fares is $26 according to website here: http://www.skybus.com.au/ I would recommend it as I have used it 3 times in the past 2 years! Hope that helps!

Group 1/min pins results please

Probably some frisbees for the dogs! (Joking!) We got frisbees at one show a couple months ago... well unfortunately both Min Pins destroyed it within a few hours of obtaining it! I hope it'll be a good one! I am looking forward to this show!
