  1. Haven't got mine either, but cheque has been cashed
  2. Yes it was warm just when the Crested went in! I needed my hat then and it was in the car, and ended up wearing it for the day! It was a great show, relaxing and a couple of great wins as well!
  3. I don't have the catalogue, but it was only myself, Lisa and Jamie entered. Jamie's male Aust Ch Yiyanda Torenv Turk was BOB and Lisa's Aust Ch Leoricia Prime Mover was RUBOB, Lisa took both Bitch and Reserve Bitch challenge :) Forgot to add, Turk was Runner Up In Group Both Days.
  4. I've recently just became involved in the Chinese Crested Breed, and still learning! My Crested is a Hairy Hairless, but I am personally not worried as we only have him along with the Min Pins which requires absolutely no grooming, but I have wanted to own a breed where grooming is involved and something that I can spend time doing and preparing, something to look forward to do! I love the Powderpuff and would love to show them, but having prior knowledge of their struggles in the ring but we preferred the Hairless, and normally it takes me about an hour to groom my crested for one show at home and about 1/2 hour to get him ready for ringside and only having one just makes it so much easier, no need to rush trying to get multiple dogs ready! With my Crested, I shave all the hair off his face as we love his head and his crest but we however left the fringe on his ears as his ears a bit bigger, and having seen some dogs bred by the same breeder that they do grow nice fringe, but he is young, so I believe they won't fully grow until 12-18 month from what I understand.
  5. Awesome! Might see if I can get a chance to look and maybe get one, this would be handy for me to leave my Crestie grooming things in rather than scatter them all over my trolley!!
  6. 7. It was one thing I was hoping for when we were discussing about how to find out the results and talking about how everyone will help share, but now we don't need to.... sorta!! It's fantastic to see that page has happened, so know we can know who won and where providing those who add the results! Saves me now going through all Min Pins to find out who won Best of Breed or Runner Up or Class in Group! lol
  8. My car said it was 49oC 2 hours ago!! I have taken a photo to prove it!!!! Lol
  9. yes the gazette does mention it ... in the schedule it states; "If extreme weather is forecast on the day of the show, please go to www.dogsvictoria.org.au to check on the status of the show on the Friday prior to the running of the show. No refunds will be issued in the event of a cancellation." Yup, sorry should be clear, With some shows in the gazette, some says will be cancelled if it's more than 38 degrees, or starts at 7:30 or very specific, something clear and straight forward, the information provided for the New Years Eve show, it doesn't give any other information other than point to Dogs Victoria website. I hope that makes sense :-)
  10. The gazette doesn't specifically mention anything about cancellation situation for these shows, it could easily start at 7 or 7:30, i guess we will find out on Saturday I've shown last year in similar weather, there was plenty of scratchings but we only lived 10 minutes away from KCC, and last year, 2 shows I entered was cancelled due to flooding. Unless we hear something from the source, we can just assume its still on lol
  11. All I know is that Marie's Min Pin Aust Ch Happyecho Lika A Dancer was RUBIG for the AM show!! Whoohoo!
  12. LIKE!! Was there any other results please? for both AM and PM!
  13. Yup, but be mindful that during December to March, dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9:30am to 7:30pm. If the council sees any, on or off lead they will hand you a fine.
  14. A couple months ago, I did the same thing, I've created a separate debit card account and linked a cheque book to this account, and at work, I got them to put $50 per week into this account. It so much easier manage the account now as I have saved up quite a bit now and now use this account for show entries . Before, I used to pay out of my spending account and it was a real struggle to keep the balance up so the cheque doesn't bounce lol!
  15. Will be coming to see and handling one of the dogs, but my dogs are not entered Our entries was accidentally put in the New Years Eve show pile and it was too late after the entries was sent off for the catalogue to be done. Not meant to be! Now gonna have to wait 3 week for the next show, thankfully 3 makes up for it!
  16. I think on our side we don't have overally many Agi shows, the only ones I know of is Lang Lang, Bunyip, Pakenham and Berwick. I enter them anyway, as I love any country shows, as they are relaxing, but I personally think from experience at Lang Lang and Bunyip, that the dogs section seem to be away from the public and carnival area but I am not sure about the rest. But the main ones I show at, from doing the previous shows, that the grounds are lovely and fresh, and usually a very enjoyable day and sometimes if we have some who could keep an eye on our dogs, we just have a quick look around to see if there is anything good to buy, but a lot of times, not often! But they are worthwhile doing and small shows tend to be enjoyable and a relaxing affair!
  17. Toy Group: BIG As mentioned Tejada Bichon RUBIG was Beaucliff Pom Baby As mentioned Clovelly Italian Minor, Puppy and Junior Can't remember but I do know one of Ackland's Chi got one Intermediate Was RUBIG Aus Bred was also Beaucliff Pom Open was BIG
  18. Did you have it anywhere near the Group 7 ring? While I was watching the Group 7 judging, I noticed a comb left on the ring post at the Group 7 ring, it was pretty big and I noticed it had a wooden handle and I'd assume someone put it there or left it there. Was that it? I left it there, but I don't know if it's still there but it might be worthwhile ringing the Secretary of the Bass Valley club and seeing if anyone handed it in? Or go to KCC and see if it's still on the ring post. Thought I let you know!
  19. Any other Group 1 Results please?
  20. I am at the moment showing two pups in 2 different breeds, and both of these pups parents are not titled, and my Min Pin pup is already at Specialty a Multi Class in Show, and at All-Breeds a Multi Class in Group winner. My Crestie is also at Specialty a Multi Class in Show and a Class in Group at All Breeds winner. It's interesting how parents that may not have been titled, and still go on to produce pups that do very well in the ring, and in my spare time I look at profile online and look at many dogs and pedigree, and I notice some Grand Champion dogs do come from either one, or in some cases none titled dogs! Anyway, it's a shame about the Extra 25 Points after a year old rule been removed, I too like many others like that rule, I think it's great that there is a Supreme Champion, and the Grand Champion reverted back, but I will not be one that will take my dogs everywhere in an attempt to get 1000 Points! If my dogs earn it, then fantastic! But I'd rather see them achieve it where they do compete in their vicinity! I also think it's interesting about some talk of rare breed and how they can't achieve such titles. At the last champ show I just did, there was only 6 Min Pins entered, yet at our last specialty, 39 was entered! A big difference between specialty and all breeds. I have done shows 10 minutes away and my dog was the only entrance! One recently, he was awarded 6 Points Best of Breed, but at least he backed it up with a Minor Puppy in Group win! But there is talks of making the "Champion" title harder? But it has to be achievable, however for example putting a 25 Point rule to get champion, that's like most dogs have to win a Specialty Best of Breed or Best in Show to attain it, and on one front cover of Dogs News Australia, there are very few breeds now that can obtain 25 Points! One I know of is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, if you were to show say at KCC. But one could say in order to attain their title, the said dog could have to either achieve a Class in Group at All Breeds, or a Class in Show at Specialty (At Championship show only for both). Afterall, you would have a certificate obtained stating your dog has obtained a higher award than a Challenge Certificate. That could weed out dogs getting titles if they can't win at Group or Show level. Just a thought here. I enjoy reading this topic, it's very thought provoking!
  21. BIG Was Cavelier (Aus Bred), RUBIG Was Italian Greyhound (Minor). Baby Puppy in Group was Havanese Puppy in Group was Rondaglen Lowchen Junior in Group was Pug That's all I can remember, didn't pay attention as we were trying to pack up in the windy weather! Error fixed! Thanks Bilbo Baggins!
  22. I think some have tried to ring the Sec for no avail, but no news is hopefully good news! I can't see why they should cancel this show if they did Kyneton in pouring wet-non-stop weather! I think it's time us KCC-Park-er should try showing in the wet! I've yet to do it! lol On the BOM website, it said to be clearing overnight, so I'd say it should be ok, but I think I'll be wearing my boots tomorrow!
  23. That probably depends on the strength and numbers show at speciality shows. We regularly get 200+ at specialities, making the cut in the class is more of an achievement than some group wins I've seen Yes that definitely makes sense as well! Down in Victoria I found with classes in group at most shows, nearly every breed is in the group! At two specialties I have recently done, The Min Pin show had 39 entered, and the Crestie show had 56. At a recent all Breed show I just did, Saturday had 114 Toys and Sunday had 140. Two of my dogs won Classes in Group, One on Saturday and One on Sunday! So when you think about it, only 7 dogs in each group can win a Class in Group, so the odds is pretty slim, when you have numbers for a group of over 200, you'd have to be lucky and your dog is good enough to get it! Happened to me last year in November, and my dog and I still cherish it! So yes, it depends on the sizes of the show and number of dogs in each group, thats only purely why I think both is just equal, and at both levels, my dogs have done well in both of them.
