Such sad sad news, be assured Jed we all know you did everything you could to save your doggies. Healing hugs and thoughts being sent your way. I am in Brissie, if there is anything I can do to help, I will certainly donate but can also volunteer my time to help with sausage sizzle or any hands on help you may need. RIP darling dogs. -

Gilypoo - just loved your photo, I just had a play with it and took out the red eyes for you and blurred the background, hope you like it -
I have the Vanilla. Absolutely love it, I have a live indoors Dobermann girl who isn't really very smelly and it works a treat. Have sprayed it directly onto fabric couches (that she sleeps on) and it's fabulous. Sprayed it on my mattress and pillows Monday when I changed the sheets just for a freshen up - perfect. I don't like strong perfume smells which is why I steared towards the vanilla (love vanilla candles etc), it isn't listed under the pet section but works brilliantly for me. Can't wait to get into my 'smelly teenage sons rooms' and give everything a freshen up!

Thanks for your reply poodelfan, I shall add a chicken frame to my shopping list this week and shall certainly keep an eye on her with it ;)
-
I am interested in learning a bit more about chicken frames and how you feed them. I have a 6 year old dobe, would I be able to buy a whole frame and give it to her to chew on in the garden? Can they eat the whole thing safely or would it be better to get it minced up. She currently only has the big marrow bones once a week, I tried the smaller ones you get from the supermarket but it disapeared in minutes so she ate it rather than chewed it. So have been avoiding any small bones.

Has anyone tried the 'vanilla'? What's it like? I would be interested to try it, I don't have a too smelly dog so am wondering if it would do the trick as that scent is not listed under 'pet odours'.

So sorry to read your dreadful news. May he Rest in Peace.

Skin Off On Paw Pad - Will This Heal By Itself?
Dobeliscious replied to Dobeliscious's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi pugga wuggles, many thanks for replying Would you have any idea on what sort of antiseptic cream I should use, is there one specifically for dogs or can I just use something from the chemist/supermarket? I have some aloe growing in the garden which is what I would use on the children, can this be used on dogs? She spends a lot of time licking it, I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not? Thankfully it's not on the base so it doesn't seem to bother her getting around at all. -
Hi there, my dog has somehow lost the skin on one of her paw pads, it's not right across the base but down the whole of one side. She is walking around allright and is licking it clean. Is there any ointment that I can buy to help the healing process or should she be looked at by a vet? I have stopped taking her out for walks as I'm hoping this might help it heal? Any ideas please.
