  3. I'm sure he will be fine Nadz. I can't help it it's my wicked sense of humour.........but............Go-Nadz
  4. Mars, I have a Dobe. Girl who is 12 and still going strong and we expect ours to live to 14 on past experience. My 1st dog,a collie cross lived to 18 years. He saw me through my childhood and the birth of my children.Very sadly missed to this day. Kaisie (in my avatar) turned 11 early this year. Not bad for a Dobe. She has a bit of arthritis - will probably go back for more injections soon - some spey incontinance, and a few fatty lumpy things, but otherwise quite healthy. Our Weimaraner was about 16 when we made the decision to let her go. Thank you both for replying, that's great news!
  5. I have a dobe girl who is only 6 and I am so hoping she lives a very long life, would love to know from any other dobe owners if they have had or have a dobe live well into double figures. (fingers crossed).
  6. Have'nt been able to pop in for a while, Jed you are still in my thoughts though. Keep on healing
  7. Yes I would be interested in any info on this too please.
  8. Are you going to drag up all the Insurance threads or just as many as you can find?
  9. Doing the happy dance! That's great news, one small step at a time, keep healing Jed
  10. Morning all This waiting room is so very cosy, I see a few still cuddled up with their dogs, but not for long I've made another batch of muffins to share and they smell soooooo good. Thinking of you Jed, keep resting and build up your strength. .........drops a basket of muffins off at the nurses station because I'm sure they are doing a very good job..........
  11. My Dobe girl loves these, I give her the 4 x 2's. She gets 2 a day, one in the morning and one around lunchtime, I feed her main meal at night. I am on my first ever box and got the 10kg one and like you I worried that I was buying too many and they would go stale. I transferred the biscuits into smaller usable plastic sealed containers. Oh and before I bought the large box I bought a handful sold individually for her to try first.
  12. Great to hear of some improvement! Stay strong Jed, you can do it! .......leaves a basket of freshly baked muffins on the coffee table..........
  13. Thanks for asking that question Erny as I too am interested in the technique. Do you place your finger over the whole body and rotate it? The mouth is obviously attached so do you move the body like the hands of a clock? I fortunately have never had to deal with ticks yet but I 'm sure this technique would be good to know. Thanks
  14. Oh I think you should be very happy with it, I think it's brilliant! Hahahaha! just noticed my accidental pun there.
  15. I too missed this thread the first time around, it's a fabulous read. Thank you Jed, you really are a very special person and thank you Steve.
  16. Lovely to see all the photos, thanks. Thinking of you Jed and hope you are healing well, stay strong!
  17. What a lovely looking boy. I am so sorry to hear that he will lose his leg, poor boy What wonderful caring and loving owners he has.
  18. Glad I could provide some amusement It does have zipped up side flaps, maybe I will try your suggestion next for extra "give" "Zipped up side flaps" - I am quite confident if you unzip them that will fix the problem. (fingers crossed)
  19. This is the funniest read I have had in ages! I have never seen one of those shade thingies before but I really like the idea of them. You remind me of times going camping without the instructions on how to put up the tent!!!! Just wondering do the side flaps have any zips in them or are there any zips or velcroed sections? If there is undo or loosen them all and try putting it up. Best of luck.
  20. Thinking of 'Tyson' and wishing him a full recovery poor darling
