Good point, the flyer has the photo so that helps but doesn't have Finnish Lapphund on it as we knew people would not know what that was. Thankyou everyone....every little bit helps :)

If people with Facebook accounts would please take the time to share the poster at this link below it would be greatly appreciated, his family desperately want him found. The Lappie community and friends have just been amazing so far. https://www.facebook...98863460286678/

Question, Ankc Rule Puppy Not Eligible For Group
Finnesse replied to BDJ's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think it would have been nicer to have had Best In Group first. It was a shame that some breeds weren't represented in their group because they were beaten dogs in Puppy in Group. Maybe they could have gone in so spectators could have seen them in a full line-up then been excused. -

Where do I find the dog shop at SACA? Is it at their showgrounds? I was there this weekend but I didn't see any shops there. Thanks :) Yes Arees23 it is at the showgrounds, there is a big building to the right ff the rings with a big carpark in front of it. There is a canteen, club rooms, toilets, Dog Shop etc over there :)

One of mine would be when my brother was in the Forces he had to live overseas for a year (it turned into 3), we looked after their family dog Bunji. I will never forget when they arrived at our place when they got back, they were dying to see him and the way Bunji greeted them brought tears to everyones eyes. The love they all had for each other was beautiful, it was hard to give him back but I also knew the bond they had.

Murray Valley Kennel Club Cancelled?
Finnesse replied to Are You Serious Jo's topic in General Dog Discussion
It was on today at Monarto :) -
I'm a fan of twiggy sticks too, Ella loves them, and they aren't messy. I have seriously thought about just taking in a chip packet, she can hear you opening a packet of them from a mile away and will come running and stand nicely in hope.
-
That is so cute, you may be poorly colour co-ordinatated for a while yet  Ella is a sock girl, luckliy for us she always takes both socks at the same time and seems to bring them back. Different story with the washing machine, it takes 2 and most the time gives one back.

Awww he is such a good boy, still able to look happy :) Glad he seems to be progressing well. Wishing you and Bailey all the best in his recovery.

Oh the times when we don't know whether to cuddle them or lecture them...it usually ends up with you cuddling them while giving them that lecture.
-
Hope they both come barrelling out of the Vets in 3 days time LMS, in the meantime stay positive. Must be so worrying

Started going to my regular vet about 27 years ago just because they were local, and got very lucky. I have always found them wonderful with very caring staff. They listen to my views and choices and takes them on board...they may have been a little slow on the uptake of 3 year vaccs but were happy to get it in for me. I feel we work together.Their main surgeon has done an excellent job handling very difficult surgeries. All the staff seem to comunicate with each other about their patients, as they all seem to know what is going on with your pet at any given time. They have endlessly worked with me in helping with all my little dog's issues he has had over the years, saved his life, given us their mobile numbers when needed, been there for us when we have had to give our beloved pets their wings and even shed a tear too. We get a Christmas card every year and get told to pop in any time even if it's just for a coffee and a chat....yep love my Vet :D

My post was more in response to Smisch's comments about a Finnish Lapphund rather than recommending a Lappie to the OP Quote <<Geeze lucky you they're a double coated breed who normally shed by the bucket load and once again they're a working dog.. Just my 2 cents they are lovely dogs though>>

Geeze lucky you they're a double coated breed who normally shed by the bucket load and once again they're a working dog.. Just my 2 cents they are lovely dogs though i have a double coater and she doesn't shed much at all i get it all in the brush every few days. i would suggest a double coated breed for people who want low shedding :) I would suggest a Finnish Lapphund as a dog that doesn't really shed too :) My bitch dumps coat twice a year (over and done with in a couple of weeks) then i hardly find hair from her. As for being a working dog, it doesn't make her high energy, she gets daily walks most the time but couldn't care a less if she doesn't, she is very laid back and so easy to live with.

I had an order not turn up from here and I managed to contact them by phone as not once did they reply to my numerous emails and every time he said he would get straight onto it then did nothing. On my last phone call after I told him I frequent this forum and we provide feedback on how we found companies he finally gave me a refund and managed to do it in 2 minutes after 2 months of getting nowhere, they still lost me as a customer .

After trying a number of things, a few drops of peppermint essence applied to the nape of the neck has worked the best for Ella. Added bonus is the dog and car have a nice peppermint smell :D I have never drugged her, I would much rather use natural products.

Perforated Intestine - Update: Peritonitis
Finnesse replied to Lisey's topic in General Dog Discussion
My little guy was nearly 10 and ended up with pancreatitis, peritonitis and was that underweight after 2 surgeries and being on just a drip for so long the vet didn't know how he had any reserves left to even fight to live. It was very draining and we were even told to say our goodbyes but he came home after a 2 week vet stay so have faith :)
