Have a look at what I sent to my Poodle "Nephew" in London. My sister is so rapt in it, she says it's the best invention ever!

I had a similar situation two years ago with one of my girls. Scan showed no puppies but she went into a nesting frenzy on her due date, although she had no nipple development as such. However there was no puppy. Scans can be tricky things. Hilaryo had both a vet and a repo specialist scan her bitch and both announced that there were two puppies, at the c-section they had four! However recently I was told only one puppy on a scan and one puppy is definitely was. Always a good idea to keep an eye on her when her due date comes round JIC.

The liquid one has done the job for my Cavs. At 7 1/2yo and 61/2yo their teeth are still in excellent shape. They've never had a dental done. The Proden Plaque Off received such good reviews from the folk on here that I've decided to switch over and give it a try. Both dogs are getting a tiny spoonful with their dinner each night. I'll keep a keen watch on their teeth. If I see any sign of plaque I'll put them back on the liquid product. It's interesting that the product you have used states "results within 48 hours wheres the dry powder additive say 5-8 weeks????

Them too huh? It even drive my GSD nuts, he just sit on his bed waiting patiently with a pained look on his face while they carry on. Even when told to hush they sit there trembling and whining softly. Then when realeased from their "sit/stay" they do a comical running on the spot and almost slide into the dishes routine ala an old Hanna Babera cartoon effort.

They are gorgeous! I'm convinced Charles M. Shultz was looking at infant beagles when he came up with his drawings of "Snoopy"

No worries Saffioraire. I have a very amusing image now of a tiny Cav playing with 11 Shepherds! As long as your sure she wont scare or intimidate them, Cavs can be a bit OTT. ;) I too am very please how Crissy milk supply is stablised with just one pup. I check her teats daily and they are full but soft so she has a good balance going on there.

Slightly incorrect benshiva. The female body is designed to carry a pregnancy, give birth and feed the offspring. In humans the hair grows luxuriously and falls out when the baby is around 4 months old, with some women they can be almost bald. They also lose weight around 6 months of age. Given that dogs have a 9 week pregnancy and an 8 week feeding cycle, 5 weeks could equate to the hair loss age and weight loss of the pregnancy stored fat. Both recover quickly with sound nutrition. Yes I remember being in shock when my own beautiful long tresses began to come out in large numbers when my first born was a few months old. I had long think hair back in those days. I believe it seems so much worse in dogs because it is all "fast forwarded" in comparisson

Well I've decided to try the one Cavnrott uses for my Cav girls. They aren't too bad but they are all under 4 years old still. The eldest really isn't a keen chewer and I have been anticipating a "dental" for her before her 5th Birthday so I'll see how she goes with this stuff. I've tried brushing her regularly but the soft baby brush even makes her gums bleed on the gumline despite having no gum problems as such. I've already got enough "additives" to put in at mealtimes. Don't need another.

Once a day for "formal meals" but they may well get a pigs ear one day, a chicken wing or some chicken necks the next day, or a meaty bone in addition to the daily meal. Meals are just to vocal with Cavaliers to have to put up with all the carolling TWICE a day. I also only feed my cats once a day in the evening, in ensures they are around then to be penned because they are looking forward to it.

If all the boxes tick...heart, eyes, bite....she's overcome so much just to be here so I think she could be special. Tell you what though if she goes to a pet home I'm going to make sure the people are extra special too.

I remember going to visit friends of my parents whose bitch had a litter of 7 week old GSD puppies when I was a child and meeting the mum. I thought she was neglected .... I feel bad about my "Child Judgment" when I think back to my hostility and wish it had been explained to me as I remember feeling sorry for mum and being sad about it. She had no coat and was a waif compared to any GSD I'd seen before. She'd had 15 pups so you can imagine.

I'm sure it will all go well. -
Last year my Cavalier bitch moulted to the point of having no featherings left on her tail, legs, cullottes or ruffle. I was amazed she actualy kept her ear feathering which is quite poor compared to her lush tail which lost all the long hairs to the point of looking like a pointers tail! My other bitch whom I show has a fantastic coat so I did a bit of research and since the birth of her puppy three days ago I have been supplementing her diet with Royal Jelly which I hear helps the new coat come through quicker and can also slow down the moulting to a certain degree. I have also purchased Royal Jelly shampoo which is also meant to assist in these things. We shall see. I don't think you are going to have any bald patches (least you shouldn't)as such but the coat will be very thin, expecially on a short haired dog. On my girl last year you could see spots on her skin that normally are not visible. She had a very easy low maintenence summer!

Whilst Prog testing will give you an indication of when the bitch is ready to mate, being there a bit early and having some settling in time can be of great assistance in the mind set of the bitch too. It also depends on the distance the bitch has to travel, if she is being flown from interstate or such, some extra settling in time is warranted. Also some breeds cope better in a strange environment than others.

I can't help myself.... what about Magnum PI ? HAHA! I can't remember what he was called on the show show but Tom or Selleck make nice names too. He waw "Thomas Magnum". I just LURVED 'Zeus' and 'Apollo' AKA 'The Lads' though their ears made me sad.

It's amazing how many people think on the same wavelength! I keep a book and write my ideas down and "Keeper of Secrets" is in there. Funnily enough I haven't used ANYTHING from the book yet!

Good on you Krystal. All the best to you and Coco. Keep us updated too.

Last year we had a litter of five girls and as Bonnies name is "Prefix Golden Daisy" we gave all the girls Flower names.
-
LOL We were talking about having a boy with "Prefix Big Bang Theory" and naming him "Sheldon".

Gee I wonder what breed of dogs they are? Maybe they are "Blue Heelers" or 'Blue' from (the kids show) "Blues Clues". ;) Somehow I think I already know.

Congratulations!! 11 a big litter. Congratulations!! She looks so sweet! Are you going to call her Solitaire? Hmmm...maybe? Use it somehow! Long road before she gets a name though. But she's here and that was a major concern and a huge first obstacle. Ive been giving it some thought but I am not very good at thinking of good names but (your prefix) "My Solitaire" or "On her Own", for her call name as her mum is Crystal I was trying to think of some precious stone as it sort of all fits together. My daughter wants to call her Emma-lee, I like Em or Emmy. My husband gave me an Emerald Solitaire when we got engaged, so....."Wandalier Emerald Solitaire" ?? Maybe. Plenty of time yet. Naming is hard isn't it. I like that    It's growing on me.
