5.1/2 Week Old Female Staffy Pups Stolen From Pet Shop
LizT replied to Marion 01's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sorry, but my 5 1/2 week old pups might not be with their mother at night either. She would be well and truly "over" them and only spend limited time with them during the day with the odd drying off breast feed. They would be in a puppy pen all safe, warm and cosy though. -
I think mine threw a "Puppy Shower" for Crissy, with her new babies due in two weeks. They were all sitting about "nattering" and washing her face, over and over again. But the cat got me a decapitated rabbit! But...best gift ever my son went grocery shopping for me when it was raining, hailing and miserable and my daughter actually went out and fed the horses! Wooohoooo!!!!

5.1/2 Week Old Female Staffy Pups Stolen From Pet Shop

That's the first thing my son (22) said! But I doubt they would also steal goods. Unless that is to throw police off their trail? Either way a dumb move. Breaking and entering and theft is a BIGGIE. Poor baby puppies. -
5.1/2 Week Old Female Staffy Pups Stolen From Pet Shop

I've often seen young pups in Pet Shops with a "Ready to go at such and such a date" signs. -
Misinformation is indeed a concern. And who are these Dog Blog writers? My sister who lives in London sang the prasies of a "dog Person" who is an "expert" and has a Blog. She was sending her "naughty dog" there for a "time out". She posted me the link. Sorry, but the woman lost me when she advised that owners with dogs with vomiting and diarrhoea due to eating rubbish from overflowing bins in Parks "Take up the water so as not to have watery vomit on their carpets etc.". A dog with vomiting and diarrhoea can dehydrate so quickly. Water is of the utmost importance in this situation! What kind of stupid advice is this?

The girl pictured below is my second Boston. Shes only 5 months old and is typical of what I've learnt and experienced with the breed. VERY VERY energetic, VERY VERY funny and full of personality. Extremely agile, VERY clever and a bloody handful. She does 'bully runs' - goes nuts when she does. You can't help but laugh your heart out at her. I dont think the cats think much of it though . Coincidentally, we also have a Chihuahua. The Boston is too much for the Chi. Shes just so full on when shes awake and just wants to play and play and play with the Chi. The Chi is playful enough and would love to get into it....but the Bossie is just a bit too much for her. Got to say that I know this is just because shes so young and full of beans and as she matures her and the Chi will get a lot closer and play...but she needs to grow up a bit and get the 'zing' out of her system. I've had a few different breeds over the years...I love my Bullies..but I got to say I've never seen a more funnier dog than a Boston. They're just chock full of personality. Bossies don't shed much at all. And yep..they are just SO funny..! You dont have to wait years but you will have to pay a fair bit. What you need to do if you want one is ring around, ring around some more, establish relationships with breeders and do some homework. This little girl above, from the time we started calling around to the time we brought her home...probably about 6 weeks. The antics you have described perfectly fit the description of our 5 months old Cavalier. She was the only pup in the litter and I swear she has the personality and energy of six pups!! :) She exhausts me and the other dogs. Christ..Im going to sound like Ive got every breed known to man (but we've only got three..lol)..YES, out third is a Cavalier..and absolutely no comparison, even though the Cavvy is slightly mad too... Yes, my other Cavvies are "slightly" mad...this little girl is completely nutso. We all fell in love with "Georgia" in "Hotel for Dogs".

A very sad situation, however if it were the dog of one of my kids I would pay the outstanding fees and spring it.

Is it true Frenchies are really ...um...shall I say...flatulent? A Breeder told me this.

My Other Bititch Got In With Puppies Not Belonging To Her
LizT replied to mini girl's topic in Breeders Community
If you truly know your dogs, and the breed is of a temperament to enable this then why not? A calculated risk but with both bitches being mums I doubt there would be a take over or jealousy involved. Wonderful socialisation happening there. I remember seeing the same situation occur in a pack of Cape Hunting Dogs in a documentary I watched once. -
Reminds me of our Dingo and has some Shiba Inu going on too I think. Lovely animal.

How cute are they! Biewer Terrier Ohhhh! Incredibly cute! Right up there with Hesapandabears Bi-Black Shelties. :)
-
It's like they were separated at birth!! :D

The same here but I use necks as I had a bit of a fright over the long thin wing bones. Same her only my issue was cutting my toe on a bone fragment!!! Got me worried about what it might do to baby tummies. So I leave wings till a bit older and also give necks.

Surely anyone running a boarding kennel business would be fully voiced in what their entitlments and obligations are under circumstances such as these. You don't go into this type of business with your eyes closed. I've seen this happen with horses time and time again. In days gone by the horse was sent to market or sold to recoup losses after three months of non contact and non payment by the owner.

Gorgeous! How do you tell them apart???? Tallent  And little blobs of colour on the ends of their tails :D Ah yes, now I see. :)

Emmalee! "Solution Expert!" :D

Agree. Some breeds like Lowchens and Cavaliers are highly social animals. But whatever breed you get the odds of it getting along with the Chi are increased with the newcomer being a puppy and spending a good deal of time in each others company.

"Apples and Oranges" The Boston is a terrier I believe the Pug is...well a Pug. And then there is the question of Fawn or Black (Pug), of which I have also heard personality differs greatly. :) Not forgetting also that each dog is an individual too. You will definitely find a pug easier to come by, and dare I say it, perhaps more to budget (if that's an important factor?) Both are lovely, sweet companions.
