That's lovely OSS. It beautifully highlights the mutual benefits of "obtaining an older dog", which we will now refer to instead of "rehoming". :)

Congratulation! Well Done! Very civilized timing. I'm still trying to recover from my Friday night marathon with three pups taking 9 hours from waters break at 4.30pm, first pup at 5.50 pm, next at 1.12 am to final arrival at 1.45 am. All the pups are doing well. :) All are gaining nicely, Vet said they all looked pretty good. Crystal had a bit of an uncomfortable day yesterday with the bottom teats really engorged but they have settled and have softened this morning. Owww...I remember that hot, hard feeling.

Gosh I've never had a Dental even suggested buy a Vet. Admittenly the GSD, Poodle, and Schipperke all ahd plenty of room for natural bone cleaning. I was anticipating having to get the Cavaliers done as a "midlife thingy" and for Bonnie who turns five this year, I was planning to ask my Vet when she has her annual check up but I envisage he wont want to do a GA unless absolutely necessary. She is not a keen chewer but I'm pleased she has recently shown interest in the deer antlers! I had my elderly Burmese cat done when he was under GA while having an eye stitched. I asked the vet and he said "Good Idea".

I too see both sides of the argument. I think in some cases it is better for the dog to go and live with a family rather than be the "'dud' at the stud"! My situation is that although I enjoy showing and hope to be able to breed top quality dogs, my "less than perfect" dogs are in fact my pets and are easy to live with. The first Cavalier I purchased is as far from what I look for in a dog today as I can get, she is however my daughters pet and was bought for her when she was seven. When people ask me if I am going to rehome her I explain this and they immediately understand and say "Of course you cannot rehome her". She is here for the duration. Fortunately, Cavaliers have a terrific pack dynamic. That said, I have had a dog that repeatedly killed chickens and when my mum suggested she come live with her she was there in a heartbeat. I never even though of this as "rehoming", this was Tessa gone to live with mum and dad.

No, no names yet. But the boy seems to be getting referred to as "Fat boy slim". He might end up as "Wandalier Good n Ready" or "Wandalier My Own Good Time"

My Other Bititch Got In With Puppies Not Belonging To Her

:) You sure have. -
Certainly looks like :) , although being a maiden (if she was) previously makes it appear to grow more slowly. That is to say 2nd time seems to get bigger sooner. Am I making sense? I'm sleep deprived (Crissy had her pups last night). Pics in May thread.

Funnily enough Crystal had Emmalee the singleton at about the same time of day, late afternoon, as the first one yesterday. Perhaps she thought that she only had to have the one! Bonnie had her 6 babes between 4.00 -7.00 am.

So then the only dogs will be those bred by the "Underworld". I can see it now. "Underbelly - the dogs". These people are idiots. They are so close to the mark but keep missing it.

Because entire dogs are savage and dangerous don't ya know! According to the "experts" anywho.

I know. We actually called the Vet after 6 hours (midnight) but he was about to start on another C section so he said he'd call us back when he was done at about 2.30 am. Crystal must have been listening cos she went "Uhoh, better push this little bugger out" and I had the relief of telling the vet that the pups had both arrived safe and sound. Phew.

Crystal had her pups. The first a girl was born at 5.50 pm Friday evening (212 gms). Then she took 7 1/2 hours to deliver No. 2, a boy (292 gms) And another girl, half an hour later (240 gms). Mother and babies are doing well.

Run free baby Pom girl. The Parti-colours cannot be shown here.

Had an A.I. done at Monash last year 29/9/2011 in which the vet also tested the count and motility of the sperm. $149.00

It's also a term they use for human babies when they get to about 6 weeks and get all "pimply". It's common and not of any consequence, although it didn't happen to any of my three.

Sounds similar to what Leema had in her rescue pups. The thread was "Three week old puppies going bald". In Breeders Community. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/229575-3-week-puppy-going-bald/page__view__findpost__p__5584439__fromsearch__1

That's quite a significant change in her belly. :) Bet you're glad you went ahead and let them decide if the time was right! :) (Speaking of pups, Crissys temp dropped to 36.8 at 1.00 am this morning so I'm on puppy watch now.) :D
-
Maawwww! So sweet. They will be greeting you with blinking eyes soon. :)

Took Crystals temperature last night at 6.00 pm. is was 37.4 Then again at 8.00 pm is was 37.00 Then again at 1.00 am (before going to work) and it was down to 36.8 Back up to 37.2 at 7.30 am. If it wasn't for the fact I was up and going to work I would certainly have missed "that drop". Think we'd both better get some sleep!
