  1. Sorry for you going through this and for the little one too...
  2. What a sad experience for you and the little one. RIP and trust you will not have to go through this again. Take care
  3. Okay I just bought my Nikon 3200 with a 18-105mm lens.It is my combined Christmas and birthday present to myself. I got it from Georges camera shop in CBD.
  4. I had to laugh because the original with all the background and my aging eyes made me balk when I saw what people had done...I thought she had flappy ears...like a bloodhound  It was like an ear lift
  5. Wow. I love landscapes!! They are gorgeous Nushie
  6. Tagging onto Nushie's thread. Is this the right one if I were to want a beginner and followed Nushie's example...it seems the right package and affordable for me Nikon 3200 plus lens package Cheers for your thoughts. This is the kind of price range i am hoping for.
  7. People take great umbrage to a stranger stepping in to tell them something isn't right. I have done it and often get a barrage of abuse and personal attack for my efforts. But saying that it is difficult to ignore such clearly wrong behaviour. The reaction you get is about being caught out and someone 'naming' something for what it is. I'll continue to do so when I feel the need to. We live with one another and are not islands. Good on you RSA...
  8. Actually it looks like a school photo I am in Sydney but have family in Dubbo. Originally from Cobar...everyone 'retires' to Dubbo...
  9. Tonka has gone for a debonair, sophisticated, masculine look...also handy for Christmas Day in Dubbo heat
  10. Sorry, just realised I posted this in wrong thread. Don't know how to change it to the right one. Don't worry. You could contact Troy, the forum chief to ask him to delete this, then write it again where you want it/copy this original post into the right one in the meantime...
  11. At 8 Tonka is I think, mainly because the cat arrived. He's finding it challenging
  12. Wow you got the whole story  A good advertisement for greys there too.
  13. Tonka has a donut bed on the floor in my room and he goes from there and up on my bed, depending on the temperature and his inclination. I am currently trying to get the cat to come and sleep on the bed but so far she stays in her igloo :)
  14. I loved the shot that was near dinner time...so many critters  That's a lifestyle to aspire to...beautiful
  15. That's incredibly irresponsible of the previous owner. Thankfully she is now in your hands and you have some added cost but has to be done... Good luck finding a good vet up there and think about getting your boy done too. Accidents happen when hormones are raging and that's how easily unwanted litters come into being unfortunately.
  16. Oh MUP so relieved Now for you both to recover from the ordeal...take care :)
  17. Gawd...congratulations on stunning shots and that the owner is supporting you! They really couldn't ask for better potential advertising pics :) Please enlighten moi to what gear you are using :)
  18. I actually thought she had been registered but apparently not...hence just an id certificate :)
  19. okay, I just had a nice phone call with the lady who does it all at the council. Apparently I just had a microchip ID certificate so no Lifetime registry Certificate. So I register her now and then when ever I move in NSW it is free/admin cost. I apoligise to the customer service officer I thought was not paying attention :D
  20. I paid. This girl was an idiot and towards the end looked at what I had given her and said "Where did you get this?" which was the printed off transfer thaat the breeder had done. Bleeding idiot, Now I'll have to go back and it was on my day off I went in there.
  21. Penny was registered by the breeder in her council area so maybe as a new owner I pay once getting her into my name and now desexed...then it may be free. Even with that scenario the woman advised me wrong and frankly was very unfriendly (I thought of friends who need a job and know customer service well ). I kind of don't remember paying for Tonka (my dog) and he was transferred from another council too... Maybe it's about being in Malcolm Turnbull's affluent electorate ETA I'm going to follow this up tomorrow and I'll let you all know...doesn't feel right to me
  22. I got a new pet (cat) and had to change her registration to my name and address. The breeder provided me with a printout of the changes she had entered for me under the microchip number. It should be 'lifetime' registration but my council charged me $40 and next year I will be changing to another council area. I asked the customer service officer if I would have to pay again and she said yes. Is this correct? I thought the idea was to make it easy and low cost to be a pet owner and do the right thing I mistrust my council as profiteering I thought it was a once in a pet's lifetime cost. Can anyone confirm this as right? I am in NSW.
  23. Oh Mr Wilson So sorry Pers. His frequent photos inspired me to get Penny and I hope one day she too will be lying beside me in the bed with her head on the pillow reading 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', the bestest photo ever of the life of a lucky, happy kitty! Hugs to you.
