Hi Phillipa, Much appreciated. I will email you a copy now. I walked near your store yesterday and posted flyers near you, but did not come in because Sam told me you guys had been contacted already, sorry. Will send the email right now. Meg

Thanks so much for all your help everyone. All this support is overwhelming and Stolz and owners Karen and Paul very much appreciate it. With all the media support and internet networking the story is receiving we are all feeling a bit more positive today. Whomever has got the girls is going to realise how hot it is getting and if they do not hand them in, they will get caught soon.

I hear you Reb. Just hard to know where to end the radius. If the dogs have been stolen, and it really seems the most likely scenario to us, if the thief takes them to the vet, they will just lie about owning the dogs, and they will probably not even be scanned. Also, it is doubtful the girls would both be taken to the vet, and the vets will probably expect to see 2 Rotts. Honestly, the girls could be anywhere. I would send out flyers to every shelter/pound in the state, the dogs might get dumped with the publicity. I would still send them out to all the vets as well asking them to put them up on the notice boards. People will see them. Dogs might not get taken to the vets but if your next door neighbour suddenly has an adult female Rottie in their back yard it might make someone think. Also put in about them having tails, so many people would still be expecting to see a docked Rottie. Tails are stated in the flyer, thanks Reb. I will check with Stolz and owners and see if they want me to cover the entire state on Monday.

If Stolz wants me to send out a wider vet contact, I will do so on Monday morning. We are looking into life google earth searches to check backyards in the area and also of some that we may suspect. Karen just wants her girls back. She does not care who has them or about getting them into trouble, she just wants them returned, we all do. Please, if anyone reading this has the dogs or knows or who does, please drop them at any open vet or police staion.

Reward and media would have been my suggestions. Sending to Stolz and prayers for a safe and speedy return of the girls. Were there any strangers visiting tyre kicking about the litter? Might help to change the title of this thread from "lost" to "stolen" too.. Thanks PF. No tyre kickers. CJ was due to go to Stolz' on Sunday and stay there for whelping. No puppy inquiries were even going via where the dogs normally reside with her owners, where they were presumably taken from.

Substantial reward has been offered. At this stage we have been given hope that there will be a press release done by police media tomorrow. They have photos and other details and we are hopeful of good coverage. Police are involved, as theft is highly suspected. There is still no news yet. We have pretty much exhausted all avenues of inquiries via media, leaflet drops, door knocks, local store drop ins and posting of flyers. All vets within 20kms or more have been contacted and faxed flyers, and Pets Haven, RSPCA, Lost dogs and Lort Smith have all been phoned. No one has seen of the girls. There was one lead fed by a DOLer, which was followed up on, but appears to have been bogus? Stolz is very appreciated of all the help and support received. This is very difficult for Stolz and owners Karen and Paul, whom are distraught as these gorgeous girls are their family. We are all extremely hopeful of some good news soon.

Still nothing Andisa. We are heading out there shortly with signs etc on board.
-
No news yet everyone. Forces are out physically searching. I am faxing and following up with phone calls to dozens of vets in surrounding areas.

Well done to you 2p. When is this show proposed. We will try to make it and support your neuter classes

Which Clubs ??? I know that it still seems like a waste of time to most people but my old girl loves to come away for the weekend or the day and to be shown. They do know the difference of being shown or not. I will support the clubs that offer this class and will / have driven past shows that are at the park in order to attend a show that offers neuter. These clubs need to realise that its not just the neuter entry - most shows I will enter 4 others dogs in as well - so if there is a club offering a neuter cc class then I will take my 5 entries there. I agree Bisart. I too am travelling further to enter shows that hold neuter classes over those local ones that don't and putting in multiple dog entries. I also explained all this in my letters and added that others are doing the same thing. I actually also think there is probably a fair bit of attitude that some of these affiliates not believing these classes should be held and this is why they do not wish to. I do not believe that it is entirely because of the funds and waste of time, but this is most likely a contributing factor. Sorry, I do not feel it is appropriate naming the clubs I have approached, but I can definitely say that there are some people on committees that think neuters should not be shown at all. I think this is a very backward way of thinking. My neuter bitch has progeny being shown. It does not have to be about showing stock that is yet to be bred with.
-
Over the last few months I have sent letters to some Vic clubs of shows that I attended this year and really enjoyed and asked them if they would include neuter classes in their shows next year. My letters were well written and explanatory. I have offered sash sponsorship and suggested requesting further sponsorship in here... but sadly they have declined. I find it really disappointing.

Yes, hope to do both and I am not always that pushy but was sick of people pushing in front of me prior to that ( I walked away ) - sometimes you just have to be blunt - you probably would have been there forever holding their tent up . Yes, I would have, I was just about asleep In fact I would probably still be there now :D Mind you, I did feel for the ladies doing the cards. It can't be easy. See you at Bulla

Yes = Very Well Done - it was nice to see her get NIS today, she does look like a lovely girl. I was the one with the other dog in the Grp 6 Neuter Line Up - my Rhemy (she is half way there now after this weekend & at 9 1/2 I hope to get her N CH title and make up her TRI CH - which would be lovely). Don't you wish they would get the points for the NIG win !!!!! Thank you Bisart. Yes, I knew it was you with your gorgeous girl Rhemy in our Group line up. To be honest, I was surprised Rhemy did not share getting group with Dyz over the weekend, but I guess that is the way it goes.. we never know what the judge is going to do. Rhemy looks great at 9 1/2. She is a lovely bitch. A real credit to you Yes, it would be great to pick up more points for NIG or even NIS. Especially when there are still not all that many entered in each breed or group... sadly I think it may be all 6 pointers for us. Wish more Rotts were out there showing at Neuter. The wonderful thing is the Neuter classes are really starting to grow and take off. Rhemy should knock hers off very soon, well done. It will be a thrill to have 3 Ch Titles on Rhemy. I just wish they would recognise the N Ch as a Dual to Aust Ch, but of course they do not as they are both conformation titles... but that's OK. I will still know it is 2 Ch Titles, as you will with your 3 :D Are you going to Kilmore and Southern Cross? Hope to see you there. Oh, and thanks Bisart for helping me with my N BOB Cert... you are way more brave than I

Ah yes, Hound Club sounds like the go Reb. Go Fern
-
Thank Stolz and Rebanne Absolutely Reb, do it. :p I would love to see Fern in the neuter classes. You could easy have her ready for Myrtleford next year

Just reviving this lovely thread :D I heard some wonderful news today - that the Sale/Maffra weekend of shows held each August will be offering Neuter classes in 2012. Also, I am super excited and a tad emotional that my (very sweet and ever so special to me) bitch Dyzney won Neuter In Group all 3 days and a Neuter In Show this weekend. We have just passed the 1/3 way mark It was lovely to see such strong support for the Neuter classes this weekend. It was a very enjoyable show and fantastic weather. Thanks to all those involved at East Gippsland and Bairnsdale Kennels clubs for all their hard work and dedication.

Thanks SS. Just checked. Bugger, 23rd June, 4 days early for my bitch If only it had been the following weekend :D Never mind. Didn't want to, but I may have to do Sale or somewhere further. Just not a huge fan of travelling my dog such a long distance prior to an ET, not anything personal against Sale. Abbiestar, do you know if any others are being held after June 2012 around Melb please? -

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone knows of firmed dates for both the Sale and GSD ET for next year please? Perhaps it is too early, I don't know :D -
We have been feeding Black Hawk since early this year on our 3 Rottweilers - pup, young adult and veteran and we are thrilled with it.
-
Sorry about the late notice guys... I will be at KCC Park this morning - Sunday 21st August between 11am - 12 doing Black Hawk Holistic deliveries. I have plenty of Adult, Puppy and Feline available in 20kg bags, plus can bag down smaller quantities to order. If anyone would like me bring food along for them, please PM me prior to 10am this morning. For bagged down orders I will require a little more time please. Cheers Meg

This is Jag, sound asleep, head slowly falling lower and lower between the 2 lounge chairs.

I often hear the owner of nearby little dog telling the dog in a voice loud enough for me to hear that their dog had better watch out because my dog might eat it, because my dogs eats dogs like their dog for breakfast. This infuriates me, and on 2 occasions I stopped the person and calmly and politely explained to them why I find it an offensive thing to say and that my dog does not eat dogs. They apologised, said they did not realise how it was perceived, but now do. I accepted their apology and on both occasions we ended up having a friendly chat afterwards. Easy fixed. Sometimes it is easy to let our emotions get the better of us, but we should always try our best to be as diplomatic as possible as we are advocates of our breeds and dogs in general.
