super proud to advise that our litter was born on Sunday night - 5 girls, 5 boys, sadly one boy was born dead. Seven and 9 puppies all doing famously. Bubbas have all gained heaps of weight and are booting along well. ENS started today. Seven is a terrific first time mum, very careful, body aware and her milk is really coming down now.

Everything OK? Or are you just totally besotted? PS - they're adorable. With large breeds this is simply how it is for the first few weeks, unless breeder removes the bitch from the puppies and I prefer not to do that. She is happier being with them. And as careful, body aware and sensible as Seven is (brilliant for a maiden bitch) puppies very easily get squash or suffocated... not even remotely worth the risk. ...plus I am totally besotted :)

Again guys, my apologies for the delays between posting photos. It is very hard to leave the puppies as they are on 24/7 full supervision and my computer is in my office at the other end of the house. I can't seem to do this sort of thing from my phone and I really must get an ipad :D

Our babies are wonderful, all have had more weight gain overnight. Seven is doing brilliantly and her mothering skills are developing each few hours, she is fantastic. I took a few photos when I was on graveyard watch last night, so when I get an opportunity to download them I will post them :)

Hi all. Oh man, what a night. Seven started whelping at 10pm last night and finished at 6.30 this morning. As SC mentioned (thanks SC for keeping everyone updated ) Seven has 5 girls and 4 boys. Sadly there was a beautiful big soldier boy who was born last and sleeping and was obviously too beautiful for this world. However we are blessed to have 9 very healthy thriving babies and a wonderful, clever, awesome bitch who has taken to motherhood like it was always meant to be "her thang" Here are a couple more photos. More to come when I get some more sleep... I've only had 3 hours in the last 55 hours or so. We are so thrilled with these babies, they are absolutely stunning

Thanks again guys. Panting, nesting, restlessness has ramped up, but still no signs of plug or contractions. She could go a long time like this. Certainly tests ones patience, but so far she is doing everything she should be doing. Hopefully soon :D

Hi guys, just checking in. Huge sorry, more disappointment, nothing yet, but really appreciate all your wonderful support I have been napping off and on all day trying to make up for lost sleep last night and anticipation of another sleepless night ahead. Seven is restless this arvo, which is a good sign. Hopefully she will progress to second stage labour soon :D Just to give you all something to occupy your time with whilst waiting LO, here are a few fun videos of her, taken last year...
